Vanyanís - The Ebonque Collection

Today I'm so very excited to be able to share with you one of Australia's most talented corset maker's new fashion range The Ebonque Collection.

A long time staple in the gothic couture fashion world Vanyanís creates couture garments to last you a lifetime. Sourcing amazing fabrics, stunning silhouettes and amazing tailoring they have long been a corset wearers dream and a brand I've lusted after since the days when I walked the alternative fashion festivals.

This year they have released their much anticipated first ready to wear collection and it's a noir dream.

On a daily basis I live in all black and I find that when dressing up for a night out or another formal event I'm also stick to a full black look. I have a closset full of prints and bright colours but I'm always most comfortable and at my personal best when draped in lush black fabrics.

So when I discovered this range I had to stick to what I love and I picked up the black satin full skirt and sweetheart top with mesh and mid length sleeves. This specific range is available in sizes 8 to 18 and it turns out my measurements were perfectly suited to her size 18 so I went with both items in this size.

The skirt is cleverly cut to accentuate your waist and hips, without adding ‘bulk’ at the front. The luxurious satin is gathered at the back and sides, joining the flat front.  This helps give you that full skirted look with or without a petticoat and unlike some other skirts I've reviewed or worn in the past this actually makes your curves look amazing. Some fuller skirts just add too much shape in the front or back but this clever little panel makes sure you look flat and amazing.

The skirt is fully lined in cupro (a hypoallergenic, anti-static fabric made from the silky fibres of the cotton plant) which feels incredibly soft against your skin.

From the moment you feel this fabric you won't be able to take your hands off it! It's such a lush and soft satin and while I usually wear stiff cotton swing/full style skirts I have to say it's so lovely to have a soft and flowing fabric in this style.

Where have mesh panels been all of my life? I honestly took way too long to try this style and now that I have I need everything with mesh or lace inserts. The Sweetheart top is made with a luxurious bamboo jersey and Italian sheer mesh that has been designed accentuate your curves, accommodate larger bust sizes and the length and curved hemline helps more hourglass girls like myself fit into this shape perfectly.

The bamboo jersey fits like a dream and the mesh panel covers my bra with ease and shoes the perfect amount of skin.

What I love most about this top is the versatility! While it pairs wonderfully with the skirt but it works with pencils, shorts, jeans or capris. The fabric can be dressed up or down and the length of the top means it fits seamlessly with high waisted garments.

I paired this look with my beloved Miu Miu sunglasses and I'm loving the 1950's housewife/vampire vibe this look has going.

But these two pieces are only the beginning and you can find more amazingly designed ready to wear pieces online right now.

Vanyanis also offer some amazing accessory items and I have to admit that as an avid corset wearer I'm absolutely lusting after the busk/corset necklace earrings set and saving my pennies for one of her amazing corsets.

To celebrate the release of this amazing range the team at Vayanis have a brilliant offer for you my readers!!!!  There will be 15% off for 15 days. First 15 orders get a free surprise gift included with your order. You can use the code ''teer15' and get 15% off this range until the 28th of March 2017!

Many thanks to Damien Bowerman for shooting this stunning outfit with me and I can't wait to set up our next set of images!

Spooky and Kooky

As you may know, I'm a fan of all things kooky and spooky. Skulls, horror themed prints and gore - I need all of these things in my life. So when Hell Bunny released their latest macabre themed items I had to pick up my favourite pieces. Mixing horror themed items and other new season stock I created a bit of a haunted housewife-esque look.

I'm a bat loving freak but sadly until now I've never owned much other than Batman merchandise. Now this lack of bat clothing needed to be rectified and what better way to do this than with the best Vampiress skirt! Featuring a bold red border and bat shaped patches on the hidden pockets.

I'm wearing every style here in size XL and the skirt is a little bit roomy. This was easily fixed with a waist belt. This skirt makes one hell of an impact and I can't wait to style it in more ways. If your'e not a fan of red there is also a green and black option.

Hell Bunny circle skirts are my go to mid priced skirt and their range is huge! With a variety of prints and solid colours you can purchase a small collection for every day wear without breaking the bank. Now I think we need a few more colour ways in this style because a girl can't have too many sets of bat pockets!

This is my stand out favourite outfit from this shoot and originally I was going to wear these two separately, so glad I changed my mind! One their own they are brilliant pieces but together they make so much more of an impact. The 40's silhouette of the Harriet is super flattering and comfortable for my hourglass shape and with a cap sleeve it's prefect for our current warm weather.
.

My favourite features are the full button up front and the peter pan shapes collar. With my measurements I had no issues with fit, buttons popping or pulling and I even had a little room to move around the waist. I was worried about stretch and fit as I've only worn the halter neck dresses and more stretchy shapes from HB but the XL is perfect. This style is also available in teal, grey and brown.

I paired the Harriet with the brilliantly designed ouija board cardigan. This is my second cardigan from Hell Bunny and I'm absolutely sold on the fit, soft stretchy fabric and reinforced buttons. It features a pointer and moon motif printed on front and the board itself printed on back. I've shown the cardigan tied just under the bust so it flatters my my waistline in this swing style dress but you can also wear it longer as shown bellow.

The print on the back is absolutely brilliant! I can't get enough of this design! Now all I need are a few ouija themed accessories to pair with it.

Then finally I have the Black June dress! A witchy, black widow 40's style full skirt frock that is an absolute dream to wear. Although this may look like a more winter style dress the fabric is that light and thin that you can wear it all year round. It's a little gothic, a little pinup and creates a whole lotta vavavoom when styled right! The deep v neckline and button detailing on the bust sleeves are my favourite features.

I wore all of these styles with my trusty Hell Bunny petticoat as it works with so many different colours and prints. I'd love to get a bright red or even purple style petticoat to pair with this dress and show just a hint of colour.

Love the style but you're not a fan of black? Like many of this season's new styles you can purchase the June dress in brown and burgundy. I think I need all 3 in my collection.

I've paired this fully black look with the most divine pair of platform heels I've worn in years. I'm new to the world of Bordellos but now I'm an absolute addict. These are the highest yet most comfortable shoes I've every owned and they are worth every dollar!!!

While most alternative stores carry this brand I found the one stop shop for all pinup shoe needs right here in Australia - Shoe Me Gorgeous! With an amazingly large range, excellent customer service and speedy shipping this is THE only shoe shop you will ever need. My current wish list is huge but I need to have these three stunning pairs in my life asap!

Many thanks to the fantastic Michael of Robin Elk Photography for taking these fantastic images and for being so much fun to work with! I can't wait until our next shoot!

Red, Hot and Swinging

Back in May I introduced to you to the brilliant Australian based Betty Le Bonbon and her amazing creations. The queen of the circle skirt, making swing styles for girls with amazing curves! You can read my previous post here and see my first review of the cotton drill skirts.

While watching the Betty Le Bonbon Facebook like a hawk I've fallen in love again and again for all the amazing prints that pop up in my feed. When I saw the silk taffeta I instantly adored the red with black polka dots and it had to be mine!

Red Custom Silk Taffeta Polka-dot Swing Skirt - $80.00
Wheels and Dollbaby Dita Cardigan - $190.00 (sold out)

When I received this skirt the red was a perfect match for my Dita Cardigan from Wheels and Dollbaby so I instantly had this outfit in mind. I've recently lost a few kilo's so the waist is a tiny bit big (I ordered a 33 inch waist) but this is easily fixed with one of my favorite waist belts.

This skirt is a shorter style then my cotton drill skirt and I actually prefer this length so much more. It's the perfect length for all of my petticoats and shows off just the right amount of leg. The fabric does sit on your bare legs a little (on a windy day this was oh so fun) but this is easily fixed with a petticoat.

A Betty Le Bonbon circle skirt is a must have for any pinup wardrobe. I is a go to item that you will wear like crazy, trust me.

I am now 100% a swing skirt addict. I'm loving the styling options be it casual or dressy. I can't wait to get my hands on all the new prints on their way. From comic book inspired prints to food, cowgirls and fruit! I need one of each! I will be sure to post an update with all the new fabrics when they arrive!

Betty Le Bonbon have also started creating adorable peter pan collars and have a variety of cute accessories to complete your outfit.

Many thanks to my brilliant photographer Nic Doncon who was an absolute star and helped me out with these shots and two more posts worth! You can find more of his work via Model Mayhem. Nic was an absolute pleasure to work with and I just adore what we created together. Can't wait to work with you again!

Haunted Housewife Dress Review & Sneak Peak

I waited so many months for this dress all the way back to August when I showed the Fall/Spring preview so when I got word that it was online I bought it asap. I had been hunting for the last year for the most perfect shirt/swing dress and what luck Micheline Pitt had already created it.

This my lovely readers is now my favorite dress in my closet!

The Haunted House-wife Dress in Black Stretch Sateen with White Piping and white skull buttons - Could this be any more perfect? I am wearing an XL (sizes come in XS-2X) and its a perfect fit! It fits snugly but still has a little give. The arms are very fitted and have a small amount of stretch. If you own the Doris Top in an XL you will fit just like me in this dress. This dress is also made in Red with Black piping!

Skull Button Detail

It fits like a glove and really makes you feel fantastic, I've worn this out a few times and even on Christmas day, the full skirt cam in handy when I pigged out!

It actually comes with a matching belt but I'm not a fan of skinnier belts with my waist line so I took one of the many black belts I have from my other Pinup Girl Clothing dresses and I think it goes perfectly.

Teamed up with my Glamor Guts Pumps from Iron Fist Australia $112AU which I think match perfectly.

I also can't control my urge to twirl when I'm wearing this stunning dress.

I only got this a week before Christmas but sadly they have all sold out in both colours black and red. But if you add yourself to the waitlist they will email you as soon as they get more stock in. Myself and so many other girls were watching Pinup Girl Clothing's facebook page so we all snatched them up very fast.

Though sadly this dress has sold out you can add yourself to the waitlist so you can snap this dress up as soon as it returns. They also offer two other dresses that have a simular style that I adore just as much as this design.

The Birdie Dress :

in Royal Blue $118US

in Peacock Print $118US

Today Pinup Girl Girl clothing uploaded a sneak peak of new styles that will be arriving by the end of the month here is a sneak peak :

The Audrey Skirt in black and pink, I've been looking everywhere for a good swing/circle skirt so I can't wait for this to come out. This is teamed up with the Pinup Couture Boat Neck Top.

The Pinup Couture Gia Top - Wardrobe staple in lots of colour choices, I love the white and red most of all. Perfecly paired with the Pinup Couture Pencil Skirt in Black & White Pin Dot Sateen

The Doris Top - I can't put into words how amazing the fit is on this stunning item. Now a new colour to add to the collection, green always wins me over. Pinup Couture Pencil Skirt in Black Cherry Sateen is also super cute, i'm not a fan of cherries but it matches perfectly with the new doris top.

Thank you to my blog photographer Micheal Alesich from Lucky & Rice.
