The Bone Brigade Are Back!

This year Erstwilder have blessed us with two spooky Halloween themed releases and I personally can't get enough of each and every piece. For release number 2, Team Erstwilder have brought back the Bone Brigade with a few new friends.

Last season I snapped up the kitten version of these skelly friends but this year I was immediately attracted to the Flamingo and Raven.

As a mad fan of all things pink flamingo related it was only logical that my next step would be to start collecting undead versions of this brilliant bird. This piece perfectly captures all of the brilliance of a flamingo with that adorable macabre vibe.

Seriously how cute is this little guy? Complete with golden crown this flamingo is divine and I can't wait to pair with each and every spooky piece from my wardrobe.

RIP RAVEN BROOCH - $39.95

My second piece and extra feathered (or featherless as the case would be) friend is the Edgar Alan Poe inspired Raven! I've been readying Poe's work since I was a wee kiddo and I've always loved how dark and spooky each and every poem is.

The Raven is one of the most well known and iconic poems from his collection and Erstwilder have capture this amazing creature in brooch form.

Complete with a little red POE novel upon his breast, this raven is by far my favourite piece from this release. Very fitting for an old goth/pinup like myself and a must have for all horror/Halloween collectors.

Which piece will you be snapping up from this collection?

Cutie With the Booty

Erstwilder have teamed up with one of my absolute favourite illustrators to create an adorable and body positive new range.

Mel Stringer an Australian Artist based in the US of A creates the most amazing, super cute, art and accessories featuring curvy babes and lots of body positive themes! I stumbled across her work originally a few years back on Instagram and I instantly wanted to be one of her drawings!

Fast forward to May 2019 and Mel has teamed up with the brilliant crew at Erstwilder to create a body loving collection that I can't get enough off. Featuring some of the cutest, curviest and sweetest little ladies,

Here are my 3 absolute faves from the Erstwilder x Mel Stringer Love Yourself Collection!

Cute Butt Club  - $39.95

I absolutely love the idea of the Cute Butt Club!! Tooshies are adorable be it on any gender and this Brooch celebrates the girls that have a little more junk in the trunk!

Available in two shades light and dark, this adorable little lass is both sassy and sweet and has the cutest butt EVER! She's my new inspo for those days when I'm not feeling 100% sassy.

Mel's original artwork has translated so well into the amazing layer style brooches of Erstwilder and the colour choices, different textures etc. really make these lasses pop. I've ever seen.

The pale pink underwear with Cute Butt written on the rear make this piece way too cute. Can I get a pair of these cute butt knickers please? Just a little selfie of me wearing it today!

Bee Yourself  - $39.95

I swear if you make anything even remotely bee related I'll buy it. I have no idea where, how or why the obsession started but it's here and the Bee Yourself brooch is fueling it!

I'm getting Blind Melon no rain video vibes from this super sweet honey bee themed lass and I just adore her styling, retro Bettie bangs and those antennae.

I'm that smitten with this whole look that I want to create it and shot it or maybe it would be a great Halloween costume?

Lastly, we have another bootylicious girl but the Sweet Marguerite is in necklace form posed on a big bold flower. Pooping that adorable toosh out, looking super sweet and perfectly placed! I love being able to pair both a brooch and a necklace together to really embrace the positive vibes.

Be it a good body day or a bad one these adorable girls will help get your positivity up! These are merely a small section of the designs so be sure to pop over to Erstwilder and snap up these and many more. You can also find more close ups, studio shots etc of each piece for even more details.

Carmelita

If you have not experienced the Carmelita Dress from the UV and Micheline Pitt collaboration then have your really lived? This stunning piece has graced my wardrobe twice now and I can't get over how stunningly designed Carmelita is.

While I loved the first release of this dress, I did not get the wear out of it so when the hunter green shade was previewed I knew this needed to be mine. This amazingly flattering and light summer style is layers of teal perfection.

I'm wearing my standard 2XL in both UV and Micheline Pitt's ranges and the fit on this dress is perfect. The side shirring really molds to your curves and the sleeves can be worn up or down depending on what look you are going for. The fit of this style is actually rather roomy, and I can easily go down to an XL if I needed to.

What I love most about this dress has to be the soft black velvet trimmings and bow. It really makes the sweetheart neckline pop. I opted for my own belt but I've found that the one supplied did not set 100% perfectly. Luckily I have a Vixen black velvet belt that will work with this as well.

Now lets talk about those sleeves and the forever flowing skirt of Camelita! I dislike my arms most days but with stunning layered sleeves I have absolutely no fear. The flowing style is a major feature of the soft swing skirt as it slips over your hips and creates a very vintage pinup silhouette.

The fabric of this style is what really makes you fall head over heels as it's so lightweight and perfect for the super warm months ahead. Plus those layers are perfect for twirling and as you can see I had way too much fun making this dress fly! I can't wait to style this with all of my summer accessories and wear it out on the town all summer long.

I thank the heavens each and every day for Natasha Marie Clothing  as I get my favourite Micheline Pitt designed items from an awesome Australian stockiest. You can pop over to the webstore and pick up any of the new items or sign up for preorders and make sure you never miss out on your favourite piece.

Thank you to the wonderful Liz for working with me on these images even though I flashed my knickers way too much while twirling!

A little lace and a lotta spook!

Each year Hell Bunny gives me two huge reasons to celebrate. The first and by far my favourite theme has to be their spooky Halloween releases. Full of plus velvet fabrics, stunning prints and amazing details.

This Halloween season I've picked a few stunning pieces that capture my daily and creepy style perfectly so settle in and prepare to get stylish and spooky.

Ricci Dress - $96.00

Yes I own way too many Wednesday Adams inspired dresses but I can't help it. They fit my shape perfectly and really appeal to me with those fine details.

The Ricci Dress, appropriately named after Christina Ricci herself is my latest obsession. A high necked skater style stretchy cotton dress with delicate lace detailing on the collar and cuffs. A velvet bow and charm details complete the lace collar which like the cuffs is completely detachable. Yes you hear that right this dress is a 2 for 1 purchase. You get a full spooky look with the collar/cuff combo and be simply removing each piece (secured by bottons) you have an amazing fitting black skater dress.

I'm wearing this style in a 2XL and the fit's actually really roomy. I have heaps of room in the upper arm and should region so I think I might also purchase an XL for a more firm fit around that section and on the bust. The 2XL has a little too much bulk for me in the top section so I'm keen to size down.

The skirt is a really flattering length and whenever I wear this I get heaps of complements. It's also a great Transeasonal piece as you can layer this in winter or pair it with cute mary janes as the weather warms up.

Next we have the Graveyard Mini! A style  I'm very use to from Hell Bunny - a super short sleeved mini dress with bow tie and collar detailing. While I'm not a fan of the shorter sleeve I actually ordered this style to pair with black velvet ballet cardigans in my collection.

This style skims the hips, has heaps of room due to the stretch fabric and really does look great on a busty girl. I'm wearing the 2XL and the fit is spot on for me but I would like to see this style in a midi with a 3/4 length sleeve. As a girl with chunky upper arms I'm never a fan of a small cap sleeve but when paired with cardigans this is adorable!

What makes this dress pop is the graveyard detailing on the collar. Those little embroidered elements make this dress a show stopper.

You also might have noticed my brilliant claws in each of these images. My absolute favourite creator Nightmare Nails made some serial killer magic in nail form for me. Featuring all of the iconic and creepy serial killers of the 20th century - a perfect accessory if you are a true crime buff like myself.

Sabrina Dress - £47.99
Demonia Cramps-06 Platforms - $132.95
Old Moto Crop

Roses and spiderwebs are such a popular print and the Sabrina captures this retro repo trend with a spooky vibe perfectly. A full skirted (with pockets) sweetheart neckline dress that's make for an hourglass shape.

My shape however it's not working for. I'm wearing the 2XL and I can't get it zipped above my waist. I'm no where near a 3XL in any Hell Bunny garments but I'm sure I'd need to size up to one in order to be able to wear this style. So if you are contemplating this dress be sure to go one size up when you order.

This could also bee a miss labeled garment so I'll need to double check the flat lay measurements on this dress with the size chart or other sizes.

Vamp Jumper - £35.99

Lastly we have one super cute and creepy jumper. I've never been a fan of knitted jumpers as I thought they'd add a little too much bulk to my frame but I put paranoia aside and went with this amazing little black and white bat knit.

I'm so glad I gave this newer style a chance as I absolutely love it! It's the perfect crop shape to wear in or out of wiggles and swings, has a sleeve that hits just above the elbow and a super cute bat shaped motif.  This style has made me believe I can give into more and more high necklines and knits so I can't wait to add more to my collection over time.

Many thanks to Damien Bowerman for all of his help shooting these spooky looks with me!!
