Forever a Missfit

Last week BlackMilk Clothing released what might be my favourite range to date - The Missfits! A rebellious punk rock inspired range of pieces that just call my name. I was lucky enough to snap up my 3 must have pieces and this past weekend I got to style them to perfection.

Bat Belt

Silver stars, sheer layers and a stunning sleeve - Stellar you are my absolute fave! A little while back I feel hard for a similar shape all black number from BlackMilk but this print has blown my mind.

I'm wearing the Stars Corrupted dress in a size Large and due to the stretch it's a perfect fit. With enough room at the bust and arms and the must boob flattering bust known to man kind. This piece fully lined so there are no issues with bras showing and covered in metallic stars.

As this piece is lined, you'll be able to wear it all year round and it looks amazing when paired with tights over the cooler months. Pair this with thick black tights, a body suit and your favourite leather jacket and it will be a stunning winter look.

For styling on this shoot I've paired this dress with my Joyeuse Earrings from Tragic Beautiful. I wanted a bold silver earring and these daggers are amazing and super affordable. I'm that smitten with these oversized daggers that I've already worn them three times this week. I need to jump back onto Tragic Beautiful and get more!

If you've not noticed, I love a plaid print and the brighter the better in my opinion. So from the moment I saw this bright yellow wonder it immediately had to be on my body. If you've not had the pleasure of wearing a Toastie style from Blackmilk yet you will be needing them this winter! These pieces are fleece lined and absolutely amazing for those supercold days.

The classic skater shape with a super flattering sleeve and bust in the best and brightest of yellow plaid. This style hits me mid thigh and covers my toosh without any issues. I'm wearing the XL as I find these fabrics can morph with my bust at times.

The feel of this fabric is so soft and comfortable I swear you'll never want to take it off. I'll be pairing this with lots of leggings and stocking and over wearing this for the next few months.

Oh and did I mention it has pockets? I'm can see myself wearing this all winter paired with heaps of different chunky Demonia boots and platforms.

Styling wise for this look I've wanted to pair the skater with a harness and luckily I found the Hold Me Tight  body harness. I how effortlessly this piece pairs with the bright yellow plaid and how it complements my figure. Now this harness is actually too small for me which is a common issue when I buy one size fits all. Luckily after a brief online search, I found and purchased a vest extender from a motorbike clothing store and it's now more suited to my waist.

You might have also noticed little pop of silver on my ear. Last year I got an industrial piercing in that exact location but having long hair it just did not want to heal properly So this combination of stud a cuff helps me create the same look without any pain. I love the look of the chains, charms and can't get enough of this piece. It also comes in black, so I'll have to order that soon for when I'm wearing my hair up.

It's pretty darn freezing in Melbourne right now so I've been hunting for awesome prints to pair with my boots and skater dresses. While I do live in classic black leggings over the cooler months I've been in need of some more funky prints to wear with all black looks.

So when the red and black wet look tartan leggings popped up in this collection I instantly had them on my lust list. They pair perfectly with my PVC under dress and chunky Demonia boots. I think I'll be wearing these with my JOMO.2 black mini pini as well.

I wear these in a size XL.They are smooth, super comfortable and really pop with a skater dress or skirt. My legs are forever warm a toastie thanks to the awesome stockings and legging created by Blackmilk.

Let's also take a brief moment to drool over my Demonia Torment boots from Shoeme.com.au. These babies are super high yet super comfortable. Over the last few years, my Demonia collection has grown substantially and I'm loving it.

Cover me in plaid

If it's not clear enough yet I'm addicted to everything that Sourpuss Clothing releases. I've been wearing their amazing goodies for years and each and every season they blow my mind with new prints, styles and amazing updates of core classics.

Let's chat about the amazing plaid selection that's recently arrived at SP! Plaid will forever win my heart, and my all time favourite colours have to be red and yellow. The classic ruby red plaid is timeless and pairs with just about anything while the bright yellow plaid is perfection with my red locks.

A few months back I feel in love with the Sourpuss Moto Jacket in leopard and swore that if any other prints or colour ways were released they would be mine, oh yes they would be mine.

So when I was told that a red plaid style would be arriving in November, I had to have it!!! This jacket is absolutely perfect. I find that all of the vest/moto/jacket options at Sourpuss have such a curve friendly fit and this piece fits like a dream. Complete with all of the traditional metal hardware and fully lined in black satin.

I'm wearing this in a XXL and it accommodates my waist, bust and arms with absolute ease. Fit wise It's a lot more roomy than my leopard moto and I have heaps of room at the waist so I think I can size down with ease to the XL. I never thought that would be possible! It's all about what you'll pair this piece with or how you like your moto's to fit so just keep that in mind. The arms are roomy as well so layer those jumpers under this piece and be super warm!

The bold red plaid is perfect for all year round wear and easily pairs with everything in my wardrobe. When the cooler months hit I can wear thicker layers beneath this and I love that as most of my jackets rarely fit more than a thin cotton top or skater dress beneath.

I never thought I'd be able to find a full plaid button down to suit my body shape and giant bust let alone one in my favourite colour - yellow. But Sourpuss have created this amazing button down swing skirted style and I'm smitten.

Created from a no stretch soft flannel this dress is freaking amazing! Featuring a side zip, button up front and pockets this piece is the perfect casual dress. I love a button up with a zip option as you can be a little sneaky and not worry about unbuttoning. Or if you're like me, you just pop open a few buttons and don't worry about the zip.

The fit in the XXL is great and fully covers my bust without pulling or popping. The sleeves are also roomy which is a brilliant design feature. I find so many button up shirt dresses have really tight sleeves but these just glide over your upper arm without any fuss. I'm really in love with this dress, and I can't get over the fit.

It's also a more relaxed fit at he waist so it's not going to cinch you in too much without a belt but for day to day wear it's so comfy! I've recently worn this to work, and a full day in the office made me love this even more. It's just so comfortable and soft.

I can't wait till we get back to the cooler months as this will be worn to death. This style is also available in purple, and I think I might need to snap that up as well as it's so comfortable. I'll also be packing this on any travels I have coming up as it's amazing for all day wear.

Trick or Treat

Halloween is not limited to the 31st of October in my home. I've always filled my apartment with all things kooky and spooky but when September rolls around all my favourite brands start releasing their Halloween prints and collections and I can't control myself or my wallet.

For this post I'm focusing on one of my all time favourite brands Sourpuss, for cute, casual and unique pieces to wear all year round because in my world every day is Halloween. Now this post is a long one as Sourpuss Clothing are the best in the biz and have so many pieces be it clothing or accessories so get ready to have an overload of information!

Each and every piece in this review is a size XXL and I find that this specific size really fits my shape and bust perfectly. I've also included some absolutely magical props from Costumes.com.au who are my new go to prop and costume shops in Australia!

One of my stand out favourite prints this spooky season is Over The Moon which features retro cats, bats and moons. The sweetheart swing style is super flattering as it has a ruffled neckline, smocked back and a nipped in waist - complete with matching belt. The smocking makes this fabric really fit perfectly to your curves and the full skirt equals everything out to create that perfect hour glass shape.

The pockets and hem also features these supersweet ruffle details and I love how well the boned bodice hugs fits my chest and waist.

This style comes with removable and adjustable straps, so you can get that perfect fit. I'm wearing it without any of the additional straps as I've pair this style with a cardigan.

I just can't get enough of this bright orange and black print and can't wait to wear it all year round.
Prop wise this print screamed balloons to me so I've paired it with the light up jack'o'lanten balloons.

SOURPUSS STUDDED MOTO VEST BLACK  - $80.00

It can't be Halloween without multiple retro kitty prints! I'm an absolute sucker for a Sourpuss skater dress and this amazing print features the sweetest little black kitten and bright orange pumpkins. Made from that tried, tested and adored super stretchy fabric that hugs your curves and is perfect for all year round wear. I'm on my 5th SP skater dress, and I think I'll be addicted to them for life.

After the success of my last Sourpuss vest, the next step obviously had to be the moto vest! With the exact same fit as their moto jackets this piece is my new go to layering accessory. Now this piece is bare when it arrives, so you can customize the piece to be 100% you. It's all in the details.

Inspired by all of the SP brooches and iron on patches I've gone for a full spooky halloween theme with this brilliant vest. Focusing on the new patches and pins that Sourpuss just recently got in stock. Traditional Halloween colours, creeps, creatures and more, all mixed in with my addiction - enamel pins.

I've added a mixture of A Clockwork Orange, horror, and creepy crawlies adorn my vest with a few of my old faves mix in. Now the only thing I have left to complete this vest is the addition of a back-patch - but what?

SOURPUSS DIG YA LATER RAGLAN SKATER DRESS  - $60.00

My clothing dreams have come true! As a full-blown raglan addict, I yelled the house down the moment I saw this little skater dress. I live in baseball/raglan style tops and now I finally own one in dress form.

Not only is it the most perfect shape and fit but the morbid little joke paired with a retro hearse has my heart a flutter. I have hearse printed dresses, bags and lots of accessories so I'm way to excited to add this into my weekly rotation of looks.

The shorter sleeve did worry me but it hits at the perfect point so it offers coverage and slims any bulk. A little birdie also told me a 3/4 sleeve will be coming out for the cooler months so I'm going to go gaga for that!

SOURPUSS LUNA BATS KEYHOLE SKATER DRESS - $60

Created from one of the softness fabrics I've ever had the pleasure of wearing the Luna Bats keyhole skater is a dream to wear. Clearly I'm a fan of skater dresses and I'm loving the variety of prints and sleeve lengths SP have available. The bat covered sleeves are super log and silk soft.

The key hole element shows a little peek of cleavage and helps the bust sit perfectly. The perfect spooky printed causal look for work or out with friends and I can't wait to style this with boots, lots of bold tights and more.

Now let's chat about this amazing wreath. I've always had a love for Halloween themed wreaths but this year I wanted to get something perfect for my morbid taste level. This boney fella is the perfect adornment for our front door and as you can see the best frame for portraits.

Such an amazing price for something so much bigger that I honestly expected!

But this piece is not limited for one use and can be the perfect addition any spooky themed party or if your'e a lover of all things skeleton related an amazing piece for your living room.

Now it's time for a sleeveless skater. As a huge fan of Silence of the Lambs I'm forever collecting all things Death Moth related as it's such an iconic visual. Sourpuss have created both a skater and a cardigan with this black and white Death Moth print and I'm smitten.

So simple to style, effortless to wear and the perfect little summer dress! I've pair this style with my purple Yemak sweater and love how well the print teams up with a bright pop of colour. What I love most about all of these pieces is how versatile they are for all year round wear. Wear them with flats in the summer or layer with tights, cardigans and boots in the winter.

What's this another prop? Things are getting a little dark and spooky and lets face it rather silly! I just had to include the light up Larva Head prop in this shoot. How can you not right? Those red glowing eyes, spooky spiders and that larva pod. Just imagine the critter that caught this fella? Too late now I've run off with it!

SOURPUSS SPIDERWEB LYDIA DRESS BLACK - $68.00

Now to end this amazing creepy forest collection of images we have the Lydia dress. I've been eyeing off the Lydia in all of the various colour variants for a while now but I was never sure if it would work with my body shape. But as you can see the result once I wiggle my way into this piece is a big YES it works!!

This dress screams summer gothic chic with it's flowing layers of soft fabric, 40's inspired sleeve and contrasting buttons, waist band and spider web collar. The bold white accents make this piece pop and I love the softness and stretch the fabric offers, giving me the ability to button up or down without too much stress.

Now you might need a friend to help you get into this dress as it has a side zip which helps create that cinched in waist. This piece is AMAZING, and I've now added the red and black stripe and pink to my lust list. Now let's see if any more prints or colour ways will be released in the futures.

Now it can't be a full spooky themed shoot without a set of amazing custom nails and these stunning Trick or Treat claws were created by Candi Glam Nails! The perfect mixture of retro Halloween with horror!

Due to my work I can't get away with my most loved super long claws but with creators like Candi Glam in the market I can get stunning custom made pieces that pair perfectly with all of my themed shoots and can be worn as often as I like! With more options to chop and change your styles and themes I love this so much more than just having acrylics.

Each set is sent with a file, buffer, swab (to clean the base of your nail) slick on taps and all the important instructions. I also got my paws on their amazing cuticle oil, and I'm absolutely in LOVE! The smell of must never leaves my hands and I'm forever loving that scent.

In total I ordered 3 amazing and equally unique sets of Halloween themed nails from Candi Glam Nails so be sure to check back for my images and on my Instagram for videos! You never know you might find an in theme spooky woodlands video on there as well.
