Dark Knight

Last year I feel 100% in love with a little dress named Patsy. A stunning shape that flattered my body perfectly and fit like a dream. This season Dangerfield has released a new fabric version of this awesome frock and today I'm here to rave about it.

The Dark Knight dress as the same amazing features as the patsy dress but for winter an amazing sheer fabric with a bold black dot lace has been used. A lace overlay always wins my heart and the fitted bust and flared 3/4 length sleeve really flatters your upper arms. I'm wearing the 18, and it's firm in the arms and bust but still has lots of room at the waist.

Just look at that fit!! It's honestly the best Dangerfield style for busty girls as it shows off your shape perfectly while still covering up. The mini style length is great as it covers your toosh but still shows lots of leg.

The dotted lace overlay is a little longer than the underskirt so I'm going to pair this with bright stockings and really make those dots pop. Styling wise I stuck to my new favourite beret in ruby red.

The accessories collection in store at Dangerfield is amazing at the moment so if you are local and can head do it ASAP! I could have bought every single piece. This Princess Highway beret also comes in black, purple and yellow and I will definitely be heading back in to snap up the purple.

Directly after these shots we went to ACMI to have High Tea at the Wonderland Exhibition and I felt absolutely amazing wearing this dress.

While drinking lots of bubbles and eating all of the sweets planned our Wonderland themed shoot which will be taking place this coming weekend. Featuring some of the stunning Dangerfield/ACMI Wonderland collaboration pieces. I'm so excited to shoot all of these garments and show you guys!

Many thanks to my brilliant photographer Liz for capturing this stunning lack piece in all of it's glory.

Green With Envy

It's no secret that I absolutely adore the Dita Cardigan from Wheels & Dollbaby. This was my first W&DB piece and the style I lust after year after year. This years release was a little different and focused on what we as the customers want! We all got to have our say and vote for the colour option we were dying to wear and I was so thrilled when the emerald green Dita was released. This is no.5 for me and I love each and every colour I own. From red to black, coral to baby blue, each shade matches perfectly with my pale skin and red hair.

Over the years I've purchased a mixture of sizes in both the Dita cardigan and in other Wheels pieces. I own both 14 and 16's in this style and I've found that both fit me with easy and the amount of stretch helps mold to your shape. This release I opted for the 16 as I heard that the knit had been upgraded to a stronger and richer knit so it was a tighter fit. This is true but after one wear it molds perfectly to your curves.

As you can see it fits like a dream as do each in my collection. There are no popping buttons and it does not gape. I always wear my Dita's with a few buttons undone showing a hint of bra and cleavage. I recently got my hands on the Madame X bra from Dita's lingerie collection and I can't wait to pair the two.

As I mentioned this is a thicker stronger knit and works perfectly for the chilly winter weather and will move into spring with ease. Styling wise I love to wear my Dita with swing or pencil skirts tucked in but it works perfectly untucked and looks great when paired with high waisted jeans or cigarette pants. It's such a classic piece and can turn your day around as soon as you slip into it. If I'm feeling a little down or frumpy I simply slip into my Dita cardigan and I instantly feel like a bombshell. I can't wait to see what the future is for this perfect piece!

Last month I shared the new Inky Pinky range with you in a full post and I gushed over the cupcake ruffle top and I was lucky enough to snap one up! I've modeled the leopard print version of this top and fell in love with the fit so I was super excited to slip into the new fabric and print from the Inky Pinky range. Unsure of the fit as the shape has changed ever so slightly (a higher neckline and a shorter length) I ordered the 16 but found it to be far too roomy and due to the stretch of the fabric I exchanged that size for the 14. I absolutely adore the fit of the smaller size and wear this as much as possible. The 14 is a great and comfortable fit and the print stays in shape without splitting or warping on my large bust.

There are still many items in this range still available so I highly suggest you snap these up while you can. With a great size range and an even better price point you can get each of these adorable items and they won't break the bank! I've also noticed a price change for the other versions of the Cupcake Ruffle Top and they are a steal at $89.00! I've got my sights set on the black and white version and will snap that up asap.

Thank you to my amazing photographer Brooke Orchard for perfectly capturing the grace and stunning design of these two items. I'm so in love with everything we shot on this day! Through rain and wind we created magic!

SGT. DOLLBABY

At the end of February, I shared my stand out favourites from the La Belle Heroine range and then quickly followed this with a full review of more items from that range, but there was one stand out item that was not in my hands in time for that review, and I waited ever so impatiently for it to arrive - The Sgt. Dollbaby Cardigan!

When I was told about the new range the phrase that stuck out most is that it would be 'full of Teer-style items' and when I got the previews I was blown away with all of the military style, figure hugging items.

The one item that blew me away was this stunning military inspired cardigan with all the trimmings. Made from super stretchy black knit adorned with gold buttons, embroided stars and gold piping this cardigan is the perfect mix of strong military styling with feminine figure hugging shapes. One of my favourite features has to be the stand up collar which is unique to the W&DB range of knitwear.

Now if you follow all of my Wheels & Dollbaby reviews you will know that I can wear anything from a size 10 to a 16. But for this item I went for a 16 so that there would be no pull on the buttons and extra room for my large bust. It's a perfect fit all over yet a little roomy on the lower half of the 3/4 length sleeve which I assume is due to the piping feature.

The Sgt. Dollbaby cardi has now become a wardrobe staple for me as the weather gets chilly and looks amazing with everything from wiggle skirts to full swing styles and pairs wonderfully with high waisted black skinny jeans. My only accessory on this shoot was a simple black beret but I'm dying to get my hands on some vintage military caps to pair with this look. So if you are sitting on the fence with this new style cardigan I urge you to get this ASAP! I could have sized down if I wanted to wear this open as it's super stretchy and there are still 14's in stock via the online store.

Leopard Day Dress  - $310.00

While shooting this amazing cardigan, I had to sneak in my new favourite dress for Autumn/Winter which is the Leopard Day Dress. I was searching high and low for a super cute dress to wear to my Hucks (hens/bucks) day/evening and this little leopard number ticked all the boxes.

Made from a plush stretch leopard jersey that fits like a second skin, the day dress is a almost like the Dita Cardigan in dress form. With the iconic peter pan collar and velvet bow tie combination this style falter both small and large sized bust. I'm wearing this dress in a size 14 and I was blow away by the fit! For this photo shoot I chose to show a little cleavage but this dress also buttons up with no issues over my GG chest which is usually unheard of. So if you have a large bust there are so many options to choose from at Wheels & Dollbaby. My favourite way of styling this dress is to pair it with stunning black stockings, berets and leather driving gloves and it works both day and night.

Many thanks to the always brilliant and super fun to work with Rom Anthonis for collaborating with me for this shoot and I can't wait to work with you again!

Winter Wish List

As we blitz on through Autumn here in Melbourne I've started to set my sights on jackets, accessories and all the essential winter warmers for the chilly months ahead.

I'm currently looking for some core essentials and as per usual my lust/wish list is jam packed full of trench coats and gloves. But this year I'm venturing into a few other styles and looks to add a little more variety and a splash of colour to my wardrobe.

Gingham Trench Coat - $149.99

Completely in love with this gingham print trench coat from Hello Holiday. My favourite print in my favourite style coat - yes please!
ASOS Large Satchel Bag With Scallop Trim And Front Buckles - $29.71

For the last few months I've been pondering if I need a satchel and I've come to the conclusion I do. I'm going to try out this brilliantly priced ASOS brand large satchel to see if it's a me kind of style.

ASOS Skater Mac in Wine - $118.83

A deep red mac to wear on the days when I'm not wearing the gingham style. The skater skirt style is perfect for curves. It nips you in at the waist and flows over your hips. The deep shade of wine red will suit everything in my wardrobe. I strongly advise you every few seasons to invest in a great Mac, you won't regret it.

Collectif Sandy Jacket - £75.00

Oh Collectif can I come live in your shop? Loving this retro inspired moto jacket from their current season. The addition of the peplum makes your hourglass shape even more pronounced. The perfect jacket to go with skinny jeans, disco pants and pencil skirts all winter.

T.U.K Button Up Tall Rocket Boots - $67.13

I'm lusting over these brilliant lace up vegan friendly boots from T.U.K, from the buttons to the lace detail these are stunning. I wear a lot of skater dresses with tights in the colder months so I'm always looking for the perfect pair of knee high boots to pair with them.

Basque White Beret - $24.95

I have an addiction to berets and I am in need of a white style to add to my collection. This soft wool style from Myer is perfect and it must be mine.

Dents Maroon Leather Gloves - $69.95

Then finally new gloves. Just like my beret addiction I always add new pair of leather gloves to my collection. I love gloves that have cute little details like buttons, bows etc and this adorable pair from Dents is high on my lust list this winter.

Très chic

Recently a wonderful care package arrived on my door, inside my most lusted after Wheels & Dollbaby garments and a little note from the super stunning  and talented Melanie Greensmith.

Since trying the knitwear range from W&DB I've been interested to know the fit on other garments so when these arrived I started to plan a shoot to suit these perfectly!

With a small sent built in my house  Keren Dobia (photographer), Dani Frankenstein (MUA) and I went to work on showcasing these amazing garments on a curvy figure!

Beret - Myer
Gloves - Sportsgirl last winter
Neck Scarf - From Keren's collection

I've found my perfect black pencil skirt! The stretch jersey fabric in this skirt allows for the most figure hugging perfect fit. The fabric is thick and sturdy and bounces back into it's original shape after each wear. Topped off with an embroidered Wheels & Dollbaby logo this is an essential wardrobe staple.

I'm wearing this garment in a size 14 and the fit is spot on!

Now I own this style in black but as soon as I saw the red version I knew I needed in my life. This is a classic must have the range. From the front it appears to be a simple yet stunning cardgian with a small 'Dollbaby' embroidered on the bust. Turn around and you have the classic Wheels logo motif on the back with roses, dollbaby and the Gretsch guitar! I can't wait to pair this with dresses, more skirts and high waist jeans and shorts. This style suits everything in your wardrobe!

I'm wearing this style in a 16 and it's a little roomier obviously than my black which is a 14.  I do like the larger fit for this cardigan so the back print does not get stretched.

Luichiny Eye Doll Platforms in Red  - $89.95US
Beret - Myer
Gloves - Sportsgirl last winter
Neck Scarf - From Keren's collection

How adorable is this top!! The delicate ruffle around the neckline and sleeves, the soft stretch fabric and the very sweet wheels and dollbaby charm make this a classic pinup style top. Fit wise this top is soft, super stretchy and form fitting. The arm wholes are perfect for my upper arms which I personally think are rather large. I'm wearing this top in a 14 and it is perfect! The fabric allows a little give so being inbetween sizes I know that this style is a good fit at a 14 and I will pick a few more up in the future.

Horizontal stripes only make your curves more curvy so don't be afraid of them!

Not a fan of the nautical stripe? Well you can pick from a variety of different colour combinations in the cupcake ruffle top :

Red/Black, Black/Cream, Leopard/Black, Navy/Black, Pink/Cream, Cream/Black all $99.00

Dita Cardigan Sold Out but Navy is in stock - $190.00
Luichiny Eye Doll Platforms in Black - $89.95
Beret - Myer
Torrid Bow Belt - $24.95US

I wanted to work my favorite style the Dita Cardigan into this shoot as well. You can read all about the fit of this item in my previous blog : Dita Cardigan - Perfect for Curves!

The essential logo skirt works perfectly both with tops tucked in and on top and by adding a simple bow belt you can make it look like another skirt or dress (if you pair this with plain black).

I will be living in these items all year round!!

I can't thank my amazing team on this shoot enough!  Keren Dobia is such an inspiring and creative woman and a joy to model for! Dani Frankenstein did an amazing job at turning my plain face into pinup perfection and I can't wait to work with her again. Thank you so much ladies it was an absolute pleasure to work with you.

What She Wore - Winter Rose

Just a small sneaky outfit post before I head back out for the evening.

I just got home from a wedding in the Dandenong Mountains and managed to snap a shot of my outfit.

I wanted to wear my fantastic Pinup Girl Clothing summer dress but being that its so cold down I worked it into a little more weather appropriate outfit.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

I paired these two brilliant pieces up with my favorite black beret and two pairs (yes two) 70 denier black stockings and City Chic black pumps. Sorry for the lack of full length shot it was raining so much when we took this I did not manage to get a clear full outfit picture. But if you click the link to the PUG dress you will find me in a full length shot via the product page.

I really adore this outfit, when the weather warms up I will replace the thick black stockings with nude back seamed thigh highs.
