Blue Belle

I have an addiction and I'm proud of it. What is my addiction you ask? Well I'm 100% addicted to the Dita Von Teese Cardigan from Wheels & Dollbaby. This addiction started in 2011 and will last me for life.

Back in February 2011 I lusted after the Dita Cardigan but was not sure if my ample curves would both suit and fit into the cardigan. I modelled and did a full review on each aspect of this brilliant piece of knitwear and this went viral! Why? Because my curves suited this style perfectly!

So when the new season colours were announced I set up a photo shoot with the brilliant Shauna Phoon and escaped into the inner city park lands of Melbourne to shoot the stunning new shade - Blue Belle.

My new blue belle baby arrived encased in a collectible French Armoire illustrated box inspired by the glamorous world of Dita Von Teese.

I absolutely adore the little note from Melanie Greensmith attached to my beautifully wrapped parcel. I always find it hard to rip the custom Wheels & Dollbaby wrapping paper when it arrives.

Now this time I chose to step outside my usual comfort zone and try new colour that I'd usually not purchase. My fiance gave me the pale pink and black version for Christmas so I choose the pastel blue option for this shoot.

I found it hard to choose a colour at first but the more I looked at the stunning powdered blue shade, with the cream embroidery the more I loved it. It pairs perfectly with my dark red locks and suits pale skin perfectly!

I am wearing this cardigan in my ideal size which is the 14. I own both 14's and 16's in Wheels & Dollbaby knitwear and I find the 14 fit to be perfect for my measurements. This cardigan has heaps of stretch to it and will fit a size or two up.

I paired this with my Essential Logo Pencil Skirt also from Wheels & Dollbaby. This skirt will last you a lifetime and will never stretch out of shape. If you want a pencil skirt to pair with everything this is the skirt for you. I wear this style in a size 4 which is a 14.

Now I chose to wear this style as shown via the website with lots of cleavage but I can easily button this cardigan up with no issues or button pops. I have a rather large chest so I have no issues in showing off a little skin with this garment.

I can't wait to wear this with pale blue and pink floral dresses and skirts and layer over the colder months. I'm very excited such an bold design in a new colour within my wardrobe. It gives me more options when it comes to styling and forces me to take more risks with colour.

You can find the Pink and Red versions via the online store and be sure to check out the new AW'14 Range Collection 'At Residence, at the Del Rio' which is live and available to purchase right now. I'm currently lusting after these four stunning garments :

What She Wore - Winter Rose

Just a small sneaky outfit post before I head back out for the evening.

I just got home from a wedding in the Dandenong Mountains and managed to snap a shot of my outfit.

I wanted to wear my fantastic Pinup Girl Clothing summer dress but being that its so cold down I worked it into a little more weather appropriate outfit.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

I paired these two brilliant pieces up with my favorite black beret and two pairs (yes two) 70 denier black stockings and City Chic black pumps. Sorry for the lack of full length shot it was raining so much when we took this I did not manage to get a clear full outfit picture. But if you click the link to the PUG dress you will find me in a full length shot via the product page.

I really adore this outfit, when the weather warms up I will replace the thick black stockings with nude back seamed thigh highs.

LMFF - City Chic Rocked the Runway!

Last Wednesday I attended the City Chic runway show at L'Oreal Fashion Festival 2011 and it was brilliant!

Not only did I got to the runway show held in the heart of the city at Federation Square, I also went to the Cosmo in store styling session and the after party - an absolute action packed day!

The show was inspirational and every girl simple stunning!

I adore runway, its one of my favorite aspects of modeling as there is no better feeling than breaking through that nervous barrier and strutting your stuff. The women featured in the City Chic parade did me proud they are strong, beautiful, talented and so curvy!

Best part of the day I got to hang out with Danimezza and Fashion Hayley.

These amazing shots were taken by Danimezza who covered this whole even for City Chic over all social networks. She did an amazing job and I think we must clone her asap!

Adore the top and I always have a big place in my heart for City Chic skinny jeans!

4 of the 5 items designed by Damn You Alexis that will be available next month in City Chic stores.

My stand out favorite from this collection, love the mix of jersey and faux leather. I'm usually not a fan of strapless but this show sold me on the style.

I need this in my life asap, though its a few months away. My jaw dropped when I saw that hit the stage. Its so girly and sweet, white (not a colour I ever wear) but I want to buy this. I'm thinking of pairing it with a black biker pleather jacket and some epic high heels.

The showstopper Laura Wells in this amazing one off design blew me away. I would wear this!! Full of chains, fishnet, leather and lace its stunning!

Look at that twirl!!! I might be a little bias as Laura is my favorite plus size model but I really adore this shot and the whole outfit. Seeing her briefly off stage in casual clothes inspired me also to buy the pants she was wearing. I will leave them for a future post, warning they are shinny!

Then after the parade, we ate horrid burgers, chatted and the headed to the Cosmo Styling session held at the Burke Street store. This and the afterparty were fantastic, If i get any more shots (that I look semi ok in) I will update them to this blog!

Courtney Maxwell and I at the in-store session. She is so sweet, friendly and stunning! I'm wearing my Wheels & Dollbaby Dita Cardigan, a plain black pencil skirt and lace gloves from Sportsgirl. The peach version of this cardie is out next month and you can preorder up to a size 5, I'm getting mine as soon as possible.

Wheels & Dollbaby Dita Cardigan - Perfect for Curves!

The retro-inspired cardigan sweater comes encased in a collectible French Armoire illustrated box inspired by the glamorous world of Dita Von Teese. A beautiful portrait image of Dita wearing the cardigan adorns the underside of the box.

This limited edition set retails for $190.00, and is available in 4 color combination: Black with Red, Red with Black, Black with Pink, and Peach with Black (now available to pre order in a size 5 and 6)

Since its initial 1995 sell-out release the "Dita" has become an iconic piece and an instant classic. You may now find this style updated in a myriad of seasonal colours, inspired by everything from shades of lipstick to French macaroon cakes!

A favorite of sweater girls the world over the detailed embroidery and 1950s inspired trims make this an essential everyday glamour piece. With the classic Wheels & Dollbaby slim and shapely fit and soft knitted feel

Have you ever owned an item of clothing you would like to live in 24hrs a day? Well to me The Dita Cardigan is it!

The fit :

Soft stretch cotton knit is so perfect on my skin, it is a snug by very comfortable fit.

The sleeves are accommodating for my upper arms which is brilliant and the form fit of the garment makes any issues you have with your upper arm disappear!

The detail :

Absolutely divine! The embroidered flowers, the peter pan collar, delicate pressed contrast trip satin, velvet buttons and necktie, everything is so lush!

I'm wearing this with 4 of the tops buttons undone to create a keyhole look like on the website.

The length is matches perfectly with all high waist items and can be worn over or under a pencils skirt etc though it is a little short (due to my ample bust) to wear with jeans or lower hip garments.

I am wearing this in a size 4 which is an Australian size 14 due to the stretch in the garment it will fit anywhere from a size 14-16 Australian. If you have a smaller bust you as a larger 16 you might have even more luck! There is heaps of stretch in this garment its amazing! Be sure to check my measurements to the right of the page to see how this fits my shape.

They will be making this in a size 5 too which is so exciting to hear. This means as i'm wearing a 4 which fits my size 16 measurements perfectly that the new size will accommodate another size up!

Now I know that I will have lots of luck with the knitwear section of the site and I have my eye on these!

But if you can't fit into the standard sizing don't give up! Wheels baby doll have the cutest rockabilly/pinup and vintage inspired accessories.

The amazing images shot to show off this beautiful garment were taken by the amazingly talented Jaimie Nichole Imagery from Melbourne, Australia. Her work is brilliant, she has an amazing eye for beauty and knows how to create sizzling pinup images!

Thank you to the amazing Berlin Bar for letting us use their brilliant location as a backdrop for this shoot. I've fallen head over heels for this delicious bar. With a brilliantly styled theme running through out (hence the name) they have a mixture of styles. With lush couches and chandeliers in one room then a bunker themed space with bunk beds, bathtub tables and amazing imagery. If you are in Melbourne and you are looking to check out one of the funkiest bars in the CBD you must go to Berlin Bar! Located at 16 Corrs Lane, Melbourne.
