I've come to the conclusion that red heads look amazing in yellow. I have avoided this colour for years due to my horrid high school uniform but this year I've rediscovered it!

This dress has started my love affair with yellow and red. The Sassy Tropical dress from Hell Bunny is a little different from the other styles I've tried int the past. With a more molded and fitted bust this style is much more flattering and fitted that the standard fit. I'm wearing this in a size Large as I've noticed I can get away with a large or medium in most of the halter styles due to the ruched back. 

The bust, nipped in skirt and brilliant bright yellow colour are perfect for my pale skin and red locks. I've paired this with the best cover up off all time - the Heartbreaker Clothing Betty Bolero also in a Large and a chunky red waist belt. Even though there is not red in the stunning tropical bird print of the fabric I think this was the best colour to accessories with. 

This dress has inspired me to purchase more options in this shade for the warmer months ahead and I've already got my eye on a few gingham and Hawaiian numbers in the current hell bunny range. You can also pick up this dress in baby blue and black. The black is next one my lust list as the print is absolute perfection.

Pom Pom Plaid!

My dear readers I've found the best winter jacket EVER! You can all stop your searches and just buy this coat! 

I've tried everything that hell bunny has to offer but until now I had not tried their very warm and cute coats. Well I've been waiting far too long!

Now I know it's not really winter friendly to show the jacket with bare legs but I wanted to show the jacket, alone and in all of it's glory!

I'm wearing this style in a size XL and it is a roomy and perfect fit. I find that for a winter coat you need to be able to layer more items underneath and this provides me with the space to wear long sleeves and other tops beneath.

The fabric is thick, lined and quilted to add that extra warmth you need during a cold Melbourne winter. Although I'm usually a fan of more hour glass shapes I really enjoy wearing the more a-line style in a winter coat when it's really, really cold.

The red plaid fabric was the first big tick for me and you can also find this style in a blue plaid if red is not your colour. With my Hell Bunny yellow plaid moto jacket still a big favorite in my collection I wanted to add a big pop of colour and print into my usual dark winter wardrobe.

If plaid is a little too much for you never fear! The sister of the Fiona Coat is Sarah Jane and she is available in plain red and black.

The fur trims, hood and pom pom details are my favorite parts of this jacket. I can't wait for it to get super cold in Melbourne so I can wear this out constantly! 

Now I have this in my collection and I know that the XL in Hell Bunny coats is a perfect fit I really hope I can get this style next.

The Millie is a perfectly and flattering trench that is just the length I've been looking for. I've recently purchased a black ASOS trench but it's not working for me so I want this style instead! With these two items I think I'd be set for winter for years to come!

Love is in the air

It's that time of year again girls! When you pick your perfect dress for that special Valentines Day date! I myself don't have any plans but I want to help you all in the 'hot dress, for a hot date' department. 

A week ago I was hired once again to shoot for the always brilliant and fantastic Pinup Boutique. It is such a pleasure shooting with this company and I adore everything I get to wear. But this time we mixed it up and broke out of the studio, shooting in the outdoors on a stunning sunny day.

Another form fitting sexy wiggle dress but this time in a stunning floral print. I noticed this dress a few weeks ago and wondered how it would look on my body and oh boy was I swooning after slipping it on. I felt amazing in this style, it put a wiggle in my stride and I felt super sexy.

I'm wearing the Temptation dress in a Large as well as it is very stretchy and roomy. It clings perfectly though so I suggest like the above purchasing a size down from your usual.

The Sweetie Dress in Hollywood Glam - $100.00

When I first modeled for Pinup Boutique I fell head over heels for the Sweetie Dress. It's just perfect! The fit is second to none, the prints so stunning and for a girl that hates halters and strapless I'm so comfortable in this style. The print is so lush and the gold is rich and very pretty close up.

I'm wearing this style in an XL as I have the last few I've modeled in this style. With a basic strapless bra I find the busy easily supports my double G's and here is not pulling or strain.

The Sweet Houndstooth Day Dress - $70.00

An adorable little day dress for those of us lucky enough to be taken on a Valentines day picnic. Love the ruffles, adorable bust line and the houndstooth fabric. I'm wearing this style in an XL and it is a perfect fit over my bust. The added edition of the little black bow belt also finishes this look off perfectly. This is also a dress you will wear non stop all year, pairing it up with stockings and boots in the cooler months and layering.

If you are a regular reader of my blog you will know all about Miskonduct from my previous dress review and posts.

A perfect print, in a perfect style and a perfect fit! The Birdie dress is light weight, soft and so comfortable to wear. I was a little worried about fit when it arrived given my 41 inch bust but I'm actually wearing this without a bra and it's a perfect fit. Even without  the bra I'm completely supported and comfortable. Thes V neck front is flattering and it shows just the right amount of cleavage, there is also a deep v on the back as well. I'm wearing this style in a size 14.

How adorable is this print? You will fall in love with these little birdies when you see this fabric in the flesh. The cream version of this dress is stunning and I don't know which I love more!

I paired this dress with my beloved Betty Bolero and Red Pumps. Taking the large amount red tones used in the print and matching all my accessories. The bolero is perfectly paired with this dress. I'm slowly getting use to showing off my arms but I still love a good cover up. This works perfectly!

I'm so excited to introduce you to the brilliant Melbourne based label - P is for Pinup! 

Own and created by the amazing, sweet and stunning Miss Katie Cupcake P is for Pinup is a clothing and accessories label bringing something new into the pinup world. Producing great quality every day garments that are as cute as a button! 

A little about P is for Pinup : 

Started producing this line in early 2009 and her ideas have been growing and developing ever since! She started off with bags, then bows to match and now P Is For Pinup clothing merchandise. The clothing lines are run in limited edition releases with the logos created by local Melbourne tattooists. The first edition logo was created by the amazing Scotti Allsop of Sanitary Electric and the current line's design is by the one and only Emma Doddrell of Devil's Ink.

Katie has chosen clothing items that are comfy for everyday wear, such as hoodies, tees and singlets, but has added a new element of class in the new line with dresses and cardis which you can dress up, for a night on the town, or down, for a day of shopping with the girls.   At the end of the day P Is For Pinup is a range of retro inspired handbags and clothing with modern day tattoo twist, created by pinups for pinups.

I wanted to showcase these garments in the best possible way and have a location as cute, bright and fun as they look to shoot in. The perfect cardigan to have in any pinup wardrobe. A perfect shape buttoned up or unbuttoned and matches everything I own. I love grey as a staple also. Perfect for autumn, winter and spring and when you need that little bit extra or wish to layer. 

I'm wearing this style cardigan in a size 12 and it is a perfect fit due to the stretchy fabric. Currently the other colour - red is sold out but I would kill for multiple colour options! The fit is so unbelievably comfortable and totally pinup perfect at the same time. The embroidery on the front and back is perfect! 

The long sleeves also make this cardigan brilliant for the cooler weather we are having in Melbourne this week I usually layer this under my faux leather moto jacket for a perfect look.

As soon as I slipped into this Letterman jacket I knew we were a match made in heaven. I was not if sure my body shape would suit this style but no I know it was fate for us to be paired together! 

Made from a super soft fabric this jacket is like wearing a babies blanket! The cropped shape nips in at my waist so I can emphasize my curves and still rock the letterman shape without feeling boxy. 

I'm wearing this style in the Large and it fits like a dream. The large P patch on the breast just adds that pop of colour and cuteness needed for a feminine version of a usually very masculine jacket. 

Paired with my American Apparel high waisted easy jeans this is my perfect outfit! They compliment each other perfectly. I now want, no NEED all the Letterman jackets in navy and in pink. This style will be my biggest addiction to date! 

How adorable is the embroidered back? 

Emma Doddrell Singlet Dress - $40.00

A perfect black stretch cotton mini dress which I'm wearing as a tank top. I know some of my readers are not big fans of super short mini's so I wanted to show you that you can wear them as more than just a dress! This like the other tops has embroidered details and the extra adorable ribbon feature of around the neckline -so sweet!! Available in black, white and pink.

I'm wearing this style in a Large and it is stretchy, fits my rather large bust and looks adorable. I've paired this with my Wheels and Dollbaby Essential Logo skirt and one of my many waist belts. Wearing the skirt over the top adds a little more length than this style would have usually as a dress. This is such a perfect yet so easy to put together and wear outfit. Wear it day or night just change your accessories and shoes.

Coral Tiny Tim Tee Dress - $45.00

This coral mini dress is as sweet as sugar so I had to pair it with the most appropriate accessory - a giant lollipop. Made of super stretchy cotton like the previous dress this is worn in a size XL for a little more room and length. The coral is a stunning colour and I'm actually loving it paired with my red hair.

I also wear this style as I did with the black singlet dress as a top underneath high waist skirts as the length works perfectly with all my pencil skirts. Paired with black the colour pops even more! All P is for Pinup's items are available in sizes 8-16.

Très chic

Recently a wonderful care package arrived on my door, inside my most lusted after Wheels & Dollbaby garments and a little note from the super stunning  and talented Melanie Greensmith.

Since trying the knitwear range from W&DB I've been interested to know the fit on other garments so when these arrived I started to plan a shoot to suit these perfectly!

With a small sent built in my house  Keren Dobia (photographer), Dani Frankenstein (MUA) and I went to work on showcasing these amazing garments on a curvy figure!

I've found my perfect black pencil skirt! The stretch jersey fabric in this skirt allows for the most figure hugging perfect fit. The fabric is thick and sturdy and bounces back into it's original shape after each wear. Topped off with an embroidered Wheels & Dollbaby logo this is an essential wardrobe staple.

I'm wearing this garment in a size 14 and the fit is spot on!



Now I own this style in black but as soon as I saw the red version I knew I needed in my life. This is a classic must have the range. From the front it appears to be a simple yet stunning cardgian with a small 'Dollbaby' embroidered on the bust. Turn around and you have the classic Wheels logo motif on the back with roses, dollbaby and the Gretsch guitar! I can't wait to pair this with dresses, more skirts and high waist jeans and shorts. This style suits everything in your wardrobe!

I'm wearing this style in a 16 and it's a little roomier obviously than my black which is a 14.  I do like the larger fit for this cardigan so the back print does not get stretched.

How adorable is this top!! The delicate ruffle around the neckline and sleeves, the soft stretch fabric and the very sweet wheels and dollbaby charm make this a classic pinup style top. Fit wise this top is soft, super stretchy and form fitting. The arm wholes are perfect for my upper arms which I personally think are rather large. I'm wearing this top in a 14 and it is perfect! The fabric allows a little give so being inbetween sizes I know that this style is a good fit at a 14 and I will pick a few more up in the future. 

Horizontal stripes only make your curves more curvy so don't be afraid of them!

I wanted to work my favorite style the Dita Cardigan into this shoot as well. You can read all about the fit of this item in my previous blog : Dita Cardigan - Perfect for Curves!

The essential logo skirt works perfectly both with tops tucked in and on top and by adding a simple bow belt you can make it look like another skirt or dress (if you pair this with plain black).

I will be living in these items all year round!!
