The fact that you can order by your waist size for these skirts means you get a spot on fit. I'm wearing the 33 inch in this style and it is perfect! I opted to go for the black and white style as my first skirt as it will match with everything in my wardrobe. The waist band fits perfectly and I've added my own waist belt to define my shape even more and create that proper 50's silhouette.

The polka dot print just pops and I love how this fabric drapes naturally on its own. Now this is the kind out outfit I would wear out on the town and I would even add petticoat underneath for a little more shape and flair. If you were looking for a more casual way to wear this I'd suggest ballet flats and a cute tank or tee in similar colours, even bobby socks if  you have them!

I adore this skirt and I think I need to start a collection in all the different colours with red and white polka dot being the first on my list.

Althought they focus on 'inbetweenie' sizes they are happy to do custom skirts for bigger/smaller sizes with a 3 week turn around on sizes that fit outside of their range.

Hi my name is Teer Wayde and I'm a Deadly Dames-oholic!

I won't hide my addiction, I'll feed it till the day I die and look amazing in the styles of brilliant friend Micheline Pitt. Last month I treated myself to a big order of new from Pinup Girl Clothing and I had to share my stand out favorite item with you guys!

From the moment I saw this dress in the flesh and on Micheline last year at Greazefest  I knew I needed in my life. So I waiting till the warmer months past and picked it up last month.

Now going by the reviews of this style dress and fabric I opted to order this dress in a smaller size for a more snug fit. I'm wearing Large in the Noir dress and it fits like a dream as all my Deadly Dames items do.

The stretch velvet is so soft and lush and the colour - just look at that emerald green! As a redhead I knew instantly that this colour would be perfect for me.

So how does it fit? As I'm wearing a size down from my usual XL it fits firmly, very snug but snug in the most perfect of ways. The shirring on the dress makes for a slinky, sexy shape hiding your tummy and creating a whole lot of Va Va Voom!

The draped bust line is attached at the shoulders but not at the bust so you can move it around to suit your bust shape. This means you can show more or less cleavage depending on your personal preference.

I'm 100% in love with this dress and if I had the funds I'd be buying each and ever colour! The size recommendation was spot on and I can't wait to wear this out!

Next on my list is the  L'Amour Dress in Polka Dot I'm dying to shoot that so I best start saving my pennies!

All Laced Up

I'm in love with lace right now. From dresses to stockings, jackets to skirts all I want is lace! So when I saw this little a-line skirt on Torrid I had to have it in my life asap.

Shoes - Luichiny 

So my original idea when putting this outfit together was to create almost a full lace black dress of sorts. But when it arrived I found out quick smart that the cardigan needed something worn beneath it so this ended up being my final outfit. I love the pop of colour beneath the black pattern.

I'm wearing both the cardigan and skirt in a Torrid 0.  I found the Skirt to be easy to slip over my hips and I chose to wear this high on my waist apposed to how the model has shown it on the website.

The under layer just skim's my behind when I wear it higher but usually I would have thick black stockings on for such an outfit. I opted to not wear the stockings so you could see how short it is when worn high.

I really love the texture and the style of knit on this cardigan! The fit loose and there is a lot of stretch to the garment. It's perfect for layering over tops, dresses, tanks and more in both winter and summer.

I paired this with a fantastic Torrid belt to nip in my waist a little more and to bring the outfit together. Sadly this style has sold out online right now but you can pick up a variety of different styles here.

Then finally because it's oh so chilly down here I finished my outfit off with my new favorite scarf. I'm such a sucker for skulls! 

This is light weight but you can wrap it around your neck for extra warmth or wear it more as an accessory as I have here.

Although I myself do not have a wide foot I know there are many women around the globe who have issues finding the perfect fit when it comes to shoes. Be it for a wider foot or wide calves it can be stressful finding a brand that can suit all your needs.

Stocking Spotlight

Week two of my Stocking Spotlight featuring some of the amazing leg wear on offer from Voodoo Hosiery.

These stockings are like a quirky take on  a fishnet/crochet pattern.  Creating an almost polka dot pattern  They really pop on my fair skin and look adorable.

I'm wearing the Extra Tall size and they fit perfectly but I have to warn you they are limited in the stretch department. They seem to have less stretch than most of the other styles I usually wear and this makes them a little stiff when you first wiggle into them. They give a little though as most styles do.

I usually wear my stockings rather high, almost at under-bust height but these finish just at my waist. To combat this I wear my shapewear over the top which ensures they will stay up all day/night.

I'm sure you've also noticed my amazing Luichiny Eye Doll Platforms in red! If I could have ever colour in the world in this one shoe I'd die a happy girl. They are an amazing height yet comfortable and make your legs look amazing. I'll be showing some more high res professional shots of these shoes shortly.

Mode Merr Feature

 

For as long as I can remember I've always looked longingly at the website of Mode Merr. Admiring the tailoring, cute pinup styles and super flattering cuts.

So you can understand how thrilled I am to bring you a full shoot showing you their fantastic stock on a girl will super curves!

Mode Merr are a US based company owned and created by fashion designer Angela Zampell. Ranging in sizes XS to XXXL they dress a variety of body shapes. From dresses, blouses, circle to pencil skirts - they have it all.

Appropriately named this skirt is perfect! The outstanding bright Tangerine is my new obsession and the fit is to die for. I'm in love!! Now that I own this skirt I want one in every colour!

I'm wearing this style in a size L and it is absolutely perfect for my waist and hips. I've recently lost 4 few kilo's so some items fit well others a little loose on my waist. This is snug, molds beautifully to my shape and pairs perfectly with the fitted black peasant blouse.

The Fitted Peasant Blouse fits like a dream and has the perfect length to wear with high waisted skirts, pants, shorts or jeans. I'm wearing a size Large in this also and it's fitted yet comfortable and very cute! This style blouse also comes in Lace, Velvet, Orchid, Pink, Red, Leopard and more!

The perfect skirt is also available in both Raise and Natural waist styles. This skirt is the raise style and sits 2 inches higher above the waistline. I love this option as I really like high fitting waist lines.

The vamp dress is staple for every wardrobe. This style can be worn on or off the shoulder and the 3/4 sleeves make it perfect for the current climate in Melbourne.I will wear this with any of my cardigans and layer up like crazy over winter. The fabric is light weight so you can easily wear this in the warmer months also.

I'm wearing this style in an XL and it perfectly on my bust and arms but it's a little roomy on my waist and hips. This is nothing a tailor can't help with. The XL hip measurement is a little larger than mind so it's to be expected.

The Everybody Loves Cleavage Blouse in black - $64.00US

Perfect Pencil Skirt in Ruby Brocade - $60.00US

Don't you just love the name of this blouse? Well it's true I love cleavage and love to show it! This style top is made from a soft cotton lycra so it's that comfortable it's like wearing a t-shirt. The mandarin collar and black cotton pipping give this top a touch of elegance and the frog closure is a really cute feature. I'm also wearing this in a Large and the sizing is perfect. You can wear this tucked or un-tucked depending on your outfit.

 

Perfect pencil skirt number 2! This fabric is stunning, very regal and sophisticated and the rich ruby colour is so very lush.

This is the natural waist style and after trying both I can say that I do prefer the raised waist as this style feels too loose. I think I could even go to a Medium with this skirt as this is the large and it's very roomy.

It is so very stunning though and as soon as the light hits the fabric you will fall in head over heels for it!

 

The Bridgette Blouse in Grey (not online yet) $58

 *Warning* wearing this skirt will make you want to twirl. 

I've opted for many swing styles recently and I'm loving this basic black version of the swing skirt from Mode Merr. Its the perfect length, shape and the fitted raised yoke gives you the illusion of a smaller waist. This is the size XL and sadly the waist swims on me!! I'll get it taken in shortly though as it is perfect! I will wear this to death through out the year. The fabric is also a great weight so it sits perfectly with or without a petticoat.

Then finally The Bridgette Blouse! A design inspired by the strong and seductive women that once graced the covers of a Pulp Novel's. This is a soft and light cotton jersey and is such a dream to wear. The dramatic dolman sleeves give this top a very 40's feel and I can see myself pairing this up with many a pencil skirt over winter.

My favorite feature of this top is all the detail on the bust and shoulders paired with the fitted underbust/waist. It makes for a really stunning and unique garments. I'm wearing this as with all the other tops in a size Large.

I've found my ultimate little black dress!!!!

A dress that fits me like a glove, makes my curves even more curvy and has a classic retro shape. As soon as I tried this dress it Blew My Mind!

I'm wearing this style in a XL and it is spot on for my measurements and with the added stretch of the fabric it really makes my curves pop even more than usual.

The skirt has ruching detail across the tummy area to hip hide any flaws - it really does!! The fabric is high quality stretch bengaline, which ensures a perfect fit.I adore the faux belt features matching houndstooth belt buckle and faux pocket flaps with houndstooth trim detail.

 

Now as soon as I received this I found out that it is actually stock from a past season and no longer available online! You can find the Success Dress with long sleeves online but for this short sleeve style you will have to contact them directly. Stocking Spotlight

One of my favorite parts winter is stockings! They keep you warm, at that little something extra special to an outfit and double up as shapewear.

So I've decided once a week to feature my favorite designs on "Stocking Spotlight'

I've recently found a new love for Voodoo Hosiery and I'll be featuring both their stockings and leggings (yes I'm learning how to wear leggings!) weekly.

I adore dot stockings in general and will be featuring my favorite pair shortly but these Tights are so cute! Thick and perfect for warming up your pins this winter and easily styled with skirts, dresses and shorts.
