Crop It!

One of my all time favourite Australian online alternative stores has released the cutest cropped tees and I'm living in them as the weather warms up. Perfectly light for the summer heat, cropped in order to to perfect midriff airflow and covered in some of the coolest prints I've ever seen.

BAROQUE INVOCATION CROP TEE - $34.95

The heat is here and I'm planning on living in in swing skirts and crop tees for the next 3 months. Loving the grey tone and bold pentagrams in this print.

I'm wearing these in and XL and they are roomy, soft and super comfortable. Absolutely effortless to wear.

SACRED SYMBOLS CROP TEE - $34.95

I love that all 3 cropped tees are black or grey based prints. They work with pretty much everything in my wardrobe and really pop. One thing I've learnt over the past few years is that crops suit anyone who bloody well wants to wear one. Don't let anything stop you from rocking a crop with pride.

Loving the imagery on this tee with all things spooky and mystical. It's hard to say which one I love the most as they are all equal!

BED OF ROSES  CROP TEE - $34.95

As soon as I slipped into this print my husband/photogrpaher instantly went that's so 80's hair metal/guns and roses and I'm 100% feeling that! Now to style appropriately and really rock this piece.

The bright pops of colour in this print are rich, bold and really stand out. Can't get enough of it!

Which is your favourite?

Gothic Mansfield

Last November I featured the amazing luxury knitwear company Mademoiselle X in a full photo shoot and feature. I was blown away with the fit, tailoring and design of each piece and I knew from that point onwards I would be wanting every single release.

In my first review I shot the Mansfield Dress as a cardigan as the pink fabric in size 16 and I love how versatile it was as both address and a cardigan. It was a mini and covered my toosh but I wanted a little more length and as a standard size 18 I wanted to get the best possible fit as well.

Well luckily we were graced with a new gothic pinup dream dress to end 2018!

The Gothic Mansfield Dress is perfection! The exact shame style as the pink dress as shown in my earlier post but in a stunning black knit with limited edition Swarovski buttons! This style has been lengthened and now hits you just above the knee for a more sleek and elegant fit.

The black ruffled portrait collar which frames the neck and cascades down to an open v-décolleté is such a stunning and striking neckline. As a busty girl you can wear it buttoned up fully or as I tend to opt for one or two buttons undone to create more cleavage and that heart style shape.

I'm wearing this gothic beauty in a size 18 and I honestly love the fit in this size so much more than the 16 but I'll be continuing to wear that smaller size as a cardigan for years to come. The knitted fabric does allow lots of stretch so many shapes and sizes can wear each piece. This piece is available in size 8 to 18AU.

The softness of the knit is such a joy to wear as it's delicate and really hugs your curves. While I'd usually find most knitted wiggled dresses scary to wear with all my lumps and bumps I actually feel amazing when wearing this. Plus the lack of gaping in between each button is brilliant! My bust and hips fit without any issues.

Now the  Swarovski buttons version is limited edition but you can also snap up a version with the original black velvet buttons for $170.00. So you it all depends on whether you're into a little sparkle or all black.

I've paired this stunning style with sheer black stockings and nothing else as this piece shines brightly on it's own. I can't wait until winter when I can style this with more tights, gloves, coats and lace up boots.

Soda Pop

I've come to the conclusion that the world's best swing dress can be found right here in Australia by the extremely talented Pigtails and Pirates. With adorable prints, figure flattering shapes and some of the best tailoring I've ever owned, I'm forever smitten with their work.

Soda Pop Dress - $199.00

I don't think I've ever worn this much colour in my entire life but do you know what? I'm loving it! This adorable soda pop top printed swing style dress hugs my curves and really emphasises my bust and waistline. I wear a size 14 in this style and the fit is perfection!! The sweetheart neckline and swing skirt work their magic on my busty hourglass frame and I now want to have this dress created in each and every one of my favourite prints from Pigtails and Pirates.

One of the best features of this dress has to be the straps. They are thick, sturdy and hide bra straps with ease. I find most lightweight summer dresses can have flimsy straps that do nothing to hide my thicker Freya deco bra straps but these are perfect!

While I usually don't wear pastel colours I'm loving this mixture of blues, pinks and yellow. This print just pops and will make you smile every time you see it!

I paired this stunning frock with my seafoam bolero from Inspired Insanity and the colours pair so perfectly. I was at a loss trying to find a cardigan to wear with this dress but this colour seemed to complement the print and I think I need a pink and yellow version to wear with this in the future, or even mustard.

Now when you have an absolutely magical multi-coloured dress you need equally amazing shoes to match! The Unicorn pumps from Ellie match this dress to a T and I love how completely unique and fun they are. Featuring a super high heel and platform, white PVC base and upper with rainbow laces and pink bobbles these are the most fun shoe I've every worn! Plus they are so comfortable, as all of the Ellie pumps have a great heel to platform ratio and are super lightweight.
Wearing these has rekindled my love for this brand once again and I will be adding many more pairs in this platform and heel height. I wear a 10US in this style and they fit perfectly. The peep toe also gives you a little more room to move.

Many thanks to Rom Anthonis for these super cute images!

All the little critters

A little while back I had the absolute pleasure of meeting the best team in Melbourne and I've been welcomed into their family with open arms! Who might I be talking about, you ask? Well it's Erstwilder and they are the top accessory company in Australia, if you didn't already know about their brilliant designs. Recently Erstwilder has launched their own online store, and it was only a few short months ago that I was jumping with excitement over the news, which was super secret at that point.

After being a huge fan of the brand for a while now, and continuously falling in love with the adorable little critters and items that are released each season, it only seemed fitting that we would finally team up. Together we worked out a plan, and everything was set in motion to snap a few hundred images of the stunning range in stock for the website. Other than being super excited about the shoot, I have to admit I was dying to get into Erstwilder HQ more than anything. I got to meet the team, learn more about the product, and got the sneaky previews of the new website before it went live.

Armed with boxes of adorable stock and my dear friend and photographer, we set out on a sunny afternoon to shoot each and every item we could possibly shoot. Pairing different styles with different outfits, colours with complementing fabrics and hairstyles with accessories - we had it all planned. Through this whole process, I ended up falling in love with so many more items, learned how cute they can look with a variety of different looks, and became obsessed with the whole new range of Travel goodies.

I've always had very specific taste when it comes to brooches but shooting all of these little cuties has opened my eyes and broadened my taste. From adorable little hooters, foxes of all colours and shapes and the so many sweet little faces, I can't get enough of all the new styles.

VAGABOND WHEELS BROOCH - $34.95

As with all designs from Erstwilder, each and every character has a name and a story. Half the fun when receiving your new item is reading the little card introducing your new accessory. Sammy the Sloth is the absolute cutest hipster sloth ever created and Daisy the Cow is such a cutie. I'm also loving the Kombi Van brooch from the travel range. There are so many great items from this specific range and it's hard to choose just one.

This was such a great experience, and I absolutely loved how well I got to know the product and the extensiveness of the collections. I fell in love with adorable earrings, statement necklaces and the brilliant invention of the double pinned brooch. After seeing and shooting so many of the products, I can't wait to see what's in store for Erstwilder in the future, and I can't wait to shoot for them once again.

Starlet Fever

A new label has burst into the curvy Australian market providing vintage inspired women's clothing designed and manufactured in Australia. Creating amazing silhouettes for women with curves to kill and giving women the styles that are both classy and sexy.

Starlet lives by the motto - "Don't be like the rest of them, Darling!" which means you won't find these designs in a mall or outlet store and this is one of the main reasons I love them! With a focus on quality fabrics, flawless tailoring and stunning prints the outfit options are endless as they stock both skirts, blouses, tops, tailored pants and more formal dresses.

I first noticed Starlet Fever through the ever so stunning Stefania Ferrario who is the face and body for their first look book. Shot in a stunning retro cinema location this bold and brilliant set of images made my heart flutter and I could not wait to see what the full range looked like. Starlet Fever's size range is from 8 to 18 and with each listed item you will find a full size chart and specific measurements for each model shown. I love this feature as it gives you more of a specific idea of fit.

Outfit 1 :

A figure hugging bombshell styled floral dress designed for women with curves in all the right places. The perfect style for an hourglass shape as it highlights all your best features. The stunning floral fabric makes this the perfect evening dress or special occasion outfit.

Outfit 2 :
Claudine Pants Black - $150.00 AUD

Effortless chic is the first description that pops into mind when looking at this perfectly paired outfit. Super flattering high waisted black pants with a pop of leopard print on top. The perfect day to night time outfit as you could pair this with flats to shop then slip into a pair of killer heels and head out for the evening.

Outfit 1 :

Claudine Pants Indigo - $150.00 AUD

Number 1 on my lust list from Starlet Fever has to be the Antoinette Blouse! I'm a sucker for a 1940's style blouse and the bust flattering style means that I don't have to compromise with fit. I adore shirts this for both work or play and I love how this looks both with a wiggle skirt or with the brilliant Claudine pants. The Claudine pant comes in Black, Black Pinstripe, Navy and Red and is a core style for any vintage lovers wardrobe. The high waist focusing on all the little details insures a great flattering fit and each outfit highlights your waist. The number one thing I look for when shopping.
Outfit 2 :

Marie Day Dress Maroon - $170.00 AUD

Another version of the Marie Day dress but this time in a solid Maroon colour. While I adore the floral version there is something so very lush and old Hollywood glam about the rich Maroon fabric used in this dress. The outfit is completed perfectly with retro styled accessories and I love how the fabric colour pairs with the white fur.

Outfit 1 :

Starlet Fever also offer a huge selection of wiggle skirts! With a selection of fabrics to take you right through the year the Adelaide in black floral is the perfect skirt for Spring/Summer. If you are a curvy woman the one item you need above all in your collection is the perfect wiggle skirt. I've search for years and I've tested them all. While I still need to test these I can say after seeing Stefania wearing these styles that they are a proper fit and focus on the tailoring aspect not just the fabric. This floral style is a great number for work or cocktails and can be paired with items like the Delphine top for a more work appropriate look. A low cut top for evening wear or even a simple black tank and flats for summer day time wear.

I love the bright pop of colour that comes with the Delphine top and this like many of the tops available comes in multiple colour ways.

Outfit 2 :

Second on my lust list - This outfit! There is something so effortlessly stunning about a perfectly created scoop neck 3/4 sleeve top when paired with a woolen pencil skirt. I've been hunting high and low for tops like this and I'm so excited to be able to photograph both of these items next month!! Yes you'd be getting a full review of my stand out favourite items from their range!

I'm also loving the woolen plaid print as I've never owned anything in this colour way before. The styling options are endless and I can't wait to create a full winter look with these items.

Outfit 1 :

Every woman needs a little black dress but every woman also needs a little red dress that when worn will knock everyone socks off! High risk? Yes, a high risk of getting you noticed for all of the best reasons. Curve hugging and simply stunning without showing too much skin, the Eleanor dress is for a really special occasion as it will give you amazing shape and make you stand out in the crowd. This dress is bold enough to only need an amazing pair of heels and a stunning brooch to complete the whole look.
Outfit 2 :

Finally we have the Wilhelmina Gown in a stunning Ivory print. This gown is a classic 50's shape swing dress made 100% silk is awe inspiring and luxury at it's finest. The Wilhelmina is the signature style from from Starlet Fever and is that quintessential formal gown for any vintage lovers. The boat neck and low v shaped back makes this style perfect for all body shapes and sizes. So if you have curves or not you will look amazing in this dress!

It's so great to see a vintage inspired brand that has such a focus on fit, tailoring and creating luxury products all made here in Australia. I will be shooting and reviewing a few of favourite styles next month so be sure to come back and see all of the fit details. I only hope I can look as amazing as Stefania does in these! All images shown were taken by Cupcake Photography and I'm in love with their style. Here's hoping we can work together one day!

Trust in Rust

Rust and Regret have to my favourite accessory brand in Australia and for the last 2 years I've been 100% addicted to their fantastic creations. With bold chunky designs, lots of silver and a unisex appeal they are both mine and my partner's go to jewellery company.

So we teamed up with Alesich Photography and snapped our stand out favourite styles from this season.

The Enhancer Necklace (Jay) - $34.95
Lapel Pin Package - (Teer) - $20.00

Our first set of necklaces are two that are close to my heart as they feature two things I love - beards and sleeping! My necklace features an adorable little bird sleeping flat on it's back and to be honest I thought it was a dead bird until I read the description. Either way I love it!

Available in silver and on a 80cm chain this and all the styles shown in this review are perfect to wear with high cut tees and tops. I've also included the brilliant lapel pins that are new to this season and add that extra little bit of quirk to my leather jacket.

I'm all about patches and pins so when I saw these I knew that they had a new home on this leather jacket. The set features a cat/meow, rad speech bubble, vampire lips and yo pins. I have issues with most pins as they tend to bend or fall off but these babies won't budge and are super secure.

Jay is wearing the Enhancer Necklace in silver and this is my stand out favourite style of the current season. As you can see I love a bearded fella and absolutely adore my man's bushy beard! The team at Rust and Regret love facial hair as well and have created 3 new products to pair with your beard and keep it looking perfect.

The Enhancer is a full functioning beard comb in vintage antique silver, gotta love an accessory that looks great and actually works! The Enhancer is also available in gold and below you can see the black version that's currently not for sale. R & R have also introduced two new beard products to their collection with a nourishing beard balm and non-jewellery  beard enhancers. These are great gifts for the man in your life this Christmas.

The Enhancer Necklace in black (Teer)

From one love to another! Pizza is the one thing that we can't live without and the reason I've got killer curves. So it's fair to say we are total pizza sluts and proudly wear this awesome necklace.

I've noticed a trend via social media and that trend is a huge love for all things cheesy and with this pizza slice shaped pendant you can show your love for your obsession in a guilt free way.

I love how everything at Rust and Regret is unisex and no matter what the design may be you will always be able to swap/mix and match items with your partner.

Lastly we have what every skull crazed person needs in their collection. Made of Stirling silver this ring is bold and chunky in all the right ways. It features text reading Skull & Bones Rust & Regret around a side profile of a skull. As you can we have a matching pair and I love that they look great on both a male and female finger. While I don't wear necklaces every day I do wear this ring as much as humanly possible!

If you're looking for something special for your loved one this silly season be sure to check out all the goodies that Rust & Regret have to offer.

A few months back I found out about a brilliant Australian based vintage inspired clothing brand named Sarsparilly.

I was asked to review one of their adorable dresses and my heart nearly skipped a beat when I flicked through their website and found the Look at the Stars dress.

This is one of the most adorable prints I've ever seen. Retro inspired mermaids, sail boats and a stunning water and starry sky adoring this fabric. This dress is 100% cotton and fully lined on both the bodice and the skirt. This is one of the most brilliantly crafted dress I've worn! Now you can wear this with or without a petticoat depending on how you like your skirts, I'm wearing this style without and it still has heaps of fullness.
