Hollywood Glamour

Erswilder's Hollywood Glamour Collection features all of those classic cinema visuals and silver screen sirens. While in all honesty I wanted every single piece from this release these are my top 3 creations from the vintage Hollywood range.

When it comes to badges or brooches I'm a grouper. I cover my leather jackets with bold pieces and luckily for me this release features a 3 piece movie making set. All I'm missing is my own directors chair to top off this film making kit!

 

Featuring a camera, clap board and a retro megaphone this set brings back the very vintage feel of the silent film makers of yesteryear. 

All the little details are covered, and I love the extra addition of the silver sparkles and the Erstwilder Studios text. It's the little features like these that make Erstwilder's creations so magical.

The set can be worn in any way you fancy. Be it grouped on a bold tee as I've shown here or wearing one piece at a time. I think I'll be adding the clap board to one of my leather jackets soon as it's too cute not to wear all the time All the little details are covered, and I love the extra addition of the silver sparkles and the Erstwilder Studios text. Tincel Town Necklace - $

 

There is always one piece I fall hard for with every Erstwilder release, a piece that I wear to death and become one with. This time the Tinsel Town necklace is that piece! 

100% glitz and glamour this necklace features bold black and white Hollywood text placed perfectly on a glittering gold plaque. The retro shape, added white starburst sparkles and all of the glitter make this piece absolutely iconic.

 

I don't think I've ever fallen this hard for a necklace but the effortless glamour of this piece has me falling head over heels.



While I'm usually not a fan of gold in any way, the mixture of black, white, gold and silver really make this perfect for my skin tone and hair. I've paired this look with my amazing Hell Bunny Faux Fur coat to add that extra bit of old-world glam. I think I'll actually be wearing this to the launch of Shazam this evening. A little extra appropriate bling for our evening out.

 

Now Showing Brooch - $39.95

 

My last piece from this collection is a brilliant piece of Art Deco signage. Inspired by the classic cinema boards the Now Showing Brooch is a deco dream. Using a very classic red, white and black combination the brooch is striking and really pops when nestled in my faux fur. 

As a fond nerd I'm absolutely in love with the choice used for the word and how perfectly it pairs with the theme and look of the piece. If you look close you might also see a little shimmering of glitter in this brooch as well, just to make it pop even more against the white board.

 

Now this piece will be worn whenever I head to see a film and for upcoming premier events.

 

 

Erswilder you have absolutely blown my mind with this collection and I don't think I'll be able to limit myself to just these three pieces. With iconic Hollywood stars in the mix and some lobby treats I'll be shopping up a storm later today!

The Jackalope!

The last release from Erstwilder in 2019 is an absolutely stunning selection of Myths and Legends pieces. A magical collection featuring all of those iconic creatures that we all know and love. From unicorns to nessy, fairies and more.

 

 

Stagbunny Brooch - $39.95 

 

My all-time favourite mythical creature was included, so I could not help setting up a little shoot featuring this super sweet Stag Bunny. For the last 10 years of so I've been absolutely in love with the creation of the Jackalope. The fluffy bunny features paired with sweet little antlers makes me swoon.



 

 

Many moons ago when I was working in an art gallery I purchased a little fax stag bunny mount and ever since that moment I've fallen head over heels for all prints, artwork and accessories featuring this little creature.

 



 

What I love about this piece is the just how realistic the resin is as a fur pattern. It's whispy and so soft looking for a solid piece. The mixture of white, pink and grey makes this little one easily paired with a variety of colours and prints so your styling possibilities are endless.

There is something absolutely magical about the shape of a snowflake. An iconic pattern we all love but in nature, completely unique. This festive season there are three stunning snowflake pieces for you style with your Christmas looks.

 

I feel in love the Winter Wonderland Earrings as soft colours really pop with my dark red hair and these stunning snowflakes are my favourite piece for this season. Made from a mixture of cream and white resins which adds more depth to the design and these earrings are absolutely beautiful. You can pick up these as well as a solo brooch and stunning statement necklace.

 

 

I've paired these earrings with a sweet pastel cuckoo clock. Last Christmas I snapped up and loved the darker version of this piece. Clocks make amazing brooches and the shape, colours and charm details on this piece are absolutely adorable.

 



 

What I love most about this piece has to be the versatility of the design. It works perfectly when paired with all of the festive pieces but can be worn all year round on it's own. The 3D elements and sweet flower charms also make me swoon.  

 

Christmas Miracle Brooch - $39.95

 

I'm so excited about this piece!! I've always adored the look of Christmas wreaths, candles and all of the winter themed pieces on table settings. But being in Australia we have a stinking hot summer Christmas and I never get to celebrate with any of those pieces. Now I can wear a stunning representation of such an iconic festive visual no matter what the weather is.



 

 

Each different coloured piece of resin has been thought through - from the flame to the rough look of the pinecones, the green leaves to the wax. Each piece really pops! 

 

 

This piece really is rather magical and, I'll definitely be wearing this and others accessories on Christmas Day.

 

My bright and bold flower crown was created by Miz Smitten Kitten. I have an addiction to her amazingly detailed custom crowns but wanted something a little more toned down for my Christmas themed shoots. I love how this works with my hair and shines when paired with the jasmine background.

A Haunting we will go



 

It's the most wonderfully spooky time of year! Today Erstwilder have released their latest spooky Halloween themed range 'A Haunting We Will Go' designed my love Donna Mizzi! A collection full of creepy critters, iconic spooky imagery and much, much more. I'm super excited to be able to share my 3 favourites from this collection which was released to die hard fans locally in Melbourne over the weekend ant Erstwilder's Halloween Party!

With every kooky and spooky release, I've usually chosen animals or ghosts but the moment I laid eyes on this Bandaged Beauty I had to add her to my collection. I've always loved the iconic bandaged look the traditional Mummy costume but Donna has put a femme swing on this costume and created one curvy cutie!

 

 



Here she is, Miss Halloween! Oh what style, oh what grace. Oh what shame we can’t see her face. This Halloween beauty queen is super curvy and has given me all kinds of costume inspo for upcoming events! Just look at that hourglass shame - damn girl, who knew bandages could be so flattering?

 



 

 

 



My favourite little detail on this brooch has to be her ruby red heels. While lots of Halloween brooches are bold and bright, this beauty queen kills it in white and red. 

 

 

 

Nietherworld Brooch- $39.95

 

Tombstones and Sandworms - oh my! Taking inspiration from the underworld, this headstone is absolutely rocking. Bringing back the dead for one night only and having a ball on All Hallows Eve. 

 

 

Created with the perfect Halloween shade of purple on a textured reflective stone base and all wrapped up with a sandworm. I just love the way the worm coils around the headstone and those little red peepers. 

 

 

 

What I love most about my choices from this collection and the previous years releases is the fact that you can group all the pieces onto your dress, blouse or coat. They work perfectly together, and you can create little horror stories with each outfit.

 

 

 

Talbot The Terror - $39.95

 

This is my first Werewolf brooch and definitely not my last. Talbot the Terror is an adorable little critter with the best brows and under bite in the biz.





 

 

Featuring bight pops of purple, green, red and yellow this piece really draws attention in the best kind of way. I just love the way they have used jagged edges to replicate hair as it gives Talbot a super cute vibe.  The green backing/base also makes him pop if you choose to pair him with solid black dresses or jackets like I've chosen to do.

Safari Chic

Erstwilder's latest release takes us to the deserts, tropical rain forests and vast savannas of Africa. The stunning Out Of Africa range features some of your absolute favourite African animals created in brooch, earring and necklace form.

 



This collection has created some of my absolute favourite brooches to date as they've created some of the cutest little critters.



 



Young Warthog Brooch - $39.95

When I first saw the Out of Africa range, I gravitated to so many different animals but after growing up on films such as The Lion King  a Warthog was top of my list.

This adorable young warthog reminds me of Pummba, and I'll be signing Hakuna Matata whenever I wear him as the creators of this brooch state - he's renowned for such a philosophy.

Again Erstwilder are rocking those adorable long lashes and look at that snout! It's so cute you just want to tickle it!

 



 

Zesty Zebra Brooch - $39.95

Zebra stripes have been a part of my wardrobe for many years so it's only logical that I also need a Zesty Zebra to add to my stripped collection.

What I love most about this piece is the unique design. For zebras or horses the mane is usually 100% attached to the head and sometimes gets rather lost in the resin or design. But the spare space between the two in this brooch really makes it pop.

 

 



Now I've paired these with a bold leopard print but when you wear this piece with solid colours it's even bolder and stronger.

 



Finnicky Fennec Fox Brooch - $39.95

I'm forever as sucker for a fox brooch and the Fennec Fox is one of my absolute most loved animals on earth. Those huge ears, soft pale fur and sweet little peepers make me swoon and I've always loved this little creature.

The little upside down heart feature around the nose and mouth is a super sweet feature and just look at those whiskers.



Erstwilder have created the perfect version of the Fennec Fox with Finnicky and I'll be wearing this piece non stop.

Our wildlife tends to be rather iconic looking down under and Outback Jacko is absolutely fabulous! A bright and brilliant orange piece packed with glitter, glam and a whole lotta sass.

 

This fancy little reptile rocks my socks off! I can't get enough of the post and all the little details that make this piece shine.  

 

A frill necked lizard has never looked so fantastic and I'm getting lots of Priscilla Queen of the Desert/Hugo Weaving vibes from this piece.

Spiney Seedling - $39.95

Next we have one of our absolute cutest Aussie creatures the Short Beaked Echidna. I've always had a soft spot for these spikey little loves as their faces are so adorable and it seems the team at Erswilder HQ have the same love these spine covered mammals. 

 

Popping up from an adorable purple flower pot this little one has the sweetest paws and snout! So cute, can't handle all this cuteness! Erstwilder have perfected the art of making stunning mixed shades of resin that look like so many textures and the spikes are pearl like which works perfectly. 

Nifty Numbat - $39.95 

Lastly we have the supersweet numbat named Nifty! With those iconic stripes and bushy little tail Nifty is one stylish little marsupial. 

 

The colours used in this resin create a bold and new way to design fur and I just love the maroon tinge it creates. 

Nifty pairs perfectly with my yellow Princes Highway cardigan as do all of the brooches featured in this post. While searching google for all of these numbats I found so many pictures of tiny little numbats and may have spent way to long falling in love with the sweet little creatures.
