An Uplifting Affair

I recently got my hands on a DimitySO bra and underwear set and I'd love to share my thoughts with you guys. So excuse the random shots of me in my under garments.

Firstly I've been a big fan of their designs since I first found out they existed, such yummy fabrics, shapes and colours. They range from a size 8-16 / 30-38 D, DD, E, F, FF, G, GG, H, HH, to J.

But being as all their images have a rather thin and not so busty model in them I really wanted to know how they fit on a plus girls body shape.

So here we go!

I got the DimitySO Ever Night Balconette Bra($84.95AU) and the fabric and detail are stunning. The matching boy leg knickers are too cute as well and really look fantastic on your bottom. I've got a XL but i have little spillage over the top.

I'm usually a 16 DD or E depending on different brands, for this style I'm wearing a 16DD I think I could go one cup up for this brand. I fit into it with ease but i feel like I need more fabric.

I thought this prior to getting this bra in the mail so I went to my local Bendon Outlet (Bridge Road, Melbourne) and tried on a few size (though this style was not there). I am a perfect fit for the 16E in most of the styles and have a long wish list now.

The straps did confuse me at first so I had to look up the actual bra online to see how they worked, the little metal triangle was poking into my skin but then i pushed the thin straps over it and it sat perfectly like this :

This is not a bra for every day more for special occasions or to wear with a slinky dress or top. It is stunning up close with very fine gold stich pattern.

So in the end I am happy with the bra and will buy more in the range. I do suggest you try them on to see exactly what size you are and possibly go up a cup size if need be. They are beautiful bra's and really comfortable to wear. I wore this one all day without any issues.

Jeepers Creepers - Shade those Peepers!

Last month I was looking for the perfect pair of shades, nothing to expensive yet huge and stylish. I have a tendency to sit, break or loose nice sunglasses so i was not looking for anything over $100.

Then purely by luck I won a competition on the Fashion Journal's and got to pic a brand new pair of glasses from Jeepers Peepers.

Firstly one of my favorite songs in the world is Jeepers Creepers (click the link for the Puppini Sisters version) so i think this brand and I were a match from the beginning.

I chose the Anna style in black and they are oversized, have large molded black frames, a funky cut out design on the arms and 100% UV protection priced at $39.95.

So how do they look?

My outfit for today :

Cardigan - Barkins
Dress - Kmart
Belt - Jeans West (private sale)
Thigh High Boots - Target

Pin Up Boudoir - Review

I've recently come across a fantastic online pin up clothing store in based in Australia, Pin Up Boudior.

Now its rather clear that i'm a sucker for Pinup Girl Clothing and Pin Up Boudior is an Australia stockist of the amazing from PUG.

Targeted at Retro Loving girls this site is jam packed with pin up dresses, separates and accessories to die for including Lux De Ville handbags and wallets.

'Pin Up Boudoir is the place to go in Australia for Pin Up style clothing from the 50’s, Rockabilly and Psychobilly. Whatever body shape, Tall Women, Short Women, Curvy Women and Petite you will find something to flatter you!'

Shopping online was simple and quick with detailed descriptions of the fabrics and designs. The postage rate is a flat $10 within Australia or free postage if you order over $150 and it came so very fast.

Prices are good, not much of a mark up really and its a great alternative from ordering internationally and having to wait a week or more.

Brilliant customer service Kat is friendly and you can contact her via the about me section for any size, postage or other inquiries.

So what did i get? Well I got the Juvenile Delinquent Dress in Leopard - $125.00. I got this in a size Large as I have another version of it which as an XL and it was too big for me. Micheline Pitt who designed this dress under her label Deadly Dames is brilliant! If you want a dress that will make you feel like a Psychobilly Sex Kitten then Deadly Dames is for you. I love this dress so much that I did a photo shoot today wearing it! I will upload these too over the next week or two.

An out take from the shoot, click for a more clear view, how amazing is that caddy!

So please check them out, shop will you drop and get a your hands on some Pinup Girl Clothing goodies here in Australia!

What she wore..

As I mentioned in my previous post i've sunk into a winter uniform most days with my wardrobe. But today with a little sunshine I found the inspiration to put on a few of my favorite pieces and upload some shots.

Black and white stripe top from Factory (sorry I can't find a website anywhere)

City Chic Diamond Stitch Jeans
$89.95AU

My trusty Jay Jays Studded Pleather Jacket (in store only) $39.95AU

Now I love these jeans but they are too big for me sadly so I'm watching the City Chic website like a hawk till they return. They are a size 16 (I'm an XS or a 14 in CC) so there is far to much room at the back and around the lower tummy area. To fix this i usually pop them straight into the dryer after each wash or I wear a waspie like belt over the top.

Black and White Joey O heels - I'm not sure where these can be purchases as a friend picked these up for me in Texas. If you know of the brand please send me a link.

Its so very cold in Melbourne and i'm living in 3 outfits on rotation. Most of them are hidden by my black studded faux leather jacket but I just wanted to show you guys what i'm walking around in today.

Review Leather Handbag -$99.95

Classic Hardware Necklace - $68

Diva Ring - $7.95

Not the best pictures sorry but I had to do it rather fast as a nice warm house was calling me!

Bows for Grown Ups!

Bows? Cute little accessories that everyone can get their hands on yet for some people, myself included we often avoid wearing them as we think maybe we are too old. A sweet little bow in your hair is it toddler chic or just cute?

I do admire bows, the styles, the 1000's of designs out their and recently I've found a company who mix some very cute designs with skulls and pvc - oh my! Featured in this blog are the wonderful designs from Kustom Voodoo.

With the idea of not trying to look too 'little girl' in mind I've come up with a few ideas on how to wear a really funky bow and still look like an adult. The bows I've used today are linked here:

Wine Rose Flower
Daredevil
Atomic Blue Glitter

Put this bright and funky Atomic Blue Glitter bow on your favorite cardigan or top and use it as a brooch. Wear with all black so it really stands out.

Wear the Wine Rose Flower in your hair or as a brooch I've done both!

Now with the Daredevil I ordered two so I could make them into shoe clips. This is by far my favorite of the set! Bold print, fantastic style and so true to its name! The easiest way to change the look of your favorite pumps or to just bring a pop of colour! Just clip the backing onto your strap (I've attached these to the T-bar strap on my Mary Jane's. I've also used the blue skull bow here. Don't they look fantastic on patent leather?

These items were shipped and received within a week. Perfectly packaged and protected and the customer service was fantastic!

Plus to share the love Kustom Voodoo has given me a discount to give my readers so just enter code "TEER" for 15% off your order!
