These boots are made for walking

Ever since doing a number on my knee at the start of the year I've been seeking out alternatives to my usual 6 inch heel footwear. I still adore and wear my super high heels but on a daily basis I now find myself living in cowboy boots. They are starting to over take my wardrobe so you my lovely readers will begin to see them lots more boot posts over the next few months.

Now why do I love and live in cowboy boots? They are comfortable, hard wearing and to be honest I just love the shape and fit of the style. My trusted Wheels and Dollbaby Spider Boots got me around the US earlier this year and I find the fit of a cowboy boot is perfect for every day wear.

So when I saw that my beloved Luichiny has released cowboy boots I needed to do a shoot and post asap!

Now I usually gravitate towards black or very dark cowboy boots but these babies just called to me. Any shade of green or turquoise is perfect for my colouring so I knew these would work well. Made from soft and silky leather these boots are so comfortable and easy to wear. The colour accents and embroidering pop beautifully against the brown leather upper.

Now I'm wearing this style in a females size 10US and they are a medium width but a little roomy but this is easily fixed with some thicker socks. I think I could have gone for the 9.5! I'll be wearing these both in winter with skinny jeans and adorable little floral dresses and shorts in the warmer months.

After a brief look at the Luichiny webstore I also found a whole heap of other styles that you can pick up if this colour is not your style.

The Camel Suede Pre Tender Boot - $125.00

A very cute summer friendly style cowboy boot in soft suede. This style with any floral would be absolute perfection.

Not game enough to try the full cowboy shape yet? How about these Don't Wear Me Out boot? It's a combo of the cowboy boot shape at the top with a military style on the base.

I love my bright new boots and can't wait to see what Luichiny has in store for next season!

And the winner is.....

I've finally got my back to my laptop and drawn the winner of my Roxy Sunglasses Giveaway sponsored by the brilliant folk at Sunglasses Shop!

Interview Chic

I'm currently on the hunt for a new job. So it's full swing back into the fun process of job interviews!

Being that my last role was rather casual I've been on the look out for more professional, classic and m more dressed up options to wear to upcoming interviews. I'm also looking for items that will work to mix and match once I'm secure in a new role.

So off I went to Simply Be as I've always found they have both the best priced and more work place suited separates. I'm not after a boring old suit but item's I can mix and match with my already existing wardrobe and blazers.

Here is what I've put straight on my lust list from Simply Be :

A bold print,  flattering and super funky yet office friendly bodycon dress. This can be worn in summer with some super cute black or red heels or in the colder months paired with a fitted blazer.

Bespoke Dita Contrast Panel Pencil Skirt - £30.00

The pencil skirt is needed in every office wardrobe but why stick to just plain black. The contrast red and black panel skirt featured above is a perfect way to let a little colour into any suit. You can also pair this with a super thick waist belt and a button up business shirt in black or white.

I'm such a huge of the AX Paris prom style dresses and I think these are perfect for every day office wear. Paired with super thick tights and boots you can wear these all winter long. The neckline is flattering and hides cleavage very well and the feminine ruffle drapes beautifully. I own a floral and a leopard print version of this already.

Now if I had unlimited funds I would have an entire wardrobe full of trench coats! They are so classic and stylish and now we are no longer limited to the boring old beige double breasted style! Marisota creates a little twist of the usual trench by adding sweet ruffles in a beautiful shade of coral. If you like a more natural colour this jacket also comes in Stone.

An edgy peplum style top will match everything in my work wardrobe. A classic black style with a bold studded detail on each shoulder. This will look great with pencil skirts, suit pants and even black skinny jeans if your office allows it.

There are so many more styles that could work at Simply Be and these are merely the top of the iceberg. So if you are looking for some office friendly rocking work wear I highly recommend you check out their whole website for some great deals.

Swimwear for Curves

Although it's chilly downunder I know my readers across the globe are hitting the pool or the beach and having a great summer. So while I sit here and freeze my toosh off I wanted to show you some great one piece options available in the webosphere.

In recent survey it was found that one piece swimsuits are on the rise! It mentioned that 57% of those queried said they'd be donning a one piece, while only 18% said they'd be wearing a bikini! You can find and read the whole article here.

Now being a fan of showing off your curves to the fullest I agree 100%. Although I own both one piece swimsuits and bikini's, I find that a proper fitting and super flattering one piece can make your curves more amplified. It's all in the construction and the fabrics.

Freya, who’s well-known for making a wide range of bra’s and lingerie set, are also great for some of this seasons cutest swimwear options. One of the best thing about Freya’s Swim Collection is that it is designed to fit women wearing anything from a B to K cup size, which is brilliant!

Want a  perfect modern pinup swimsuit then this style is for you. The adorable polka dot print and ruffles really complete this suit. The halter accommodates up to a size F and creates a stunning shape. I find this suit that cute I would double it up and use it as a bodysuit. Wearing it under high waist jeans or shorts in the summer!

The perfect Bond Girl swimsuit! A stunning black one piece with a deep plunge neckline which fits up to a GG cup! Perfect to pair with pretty much anything you have in your summer wardrobe. When I look at this suit I get the urge to attend lush pool party's or recreate a bond girl scene. My favorite feature the thin waist belt which nips you in at the waist and makes you even more curvy.

More dots!! Such a cute speckled print on this Calamity style and the extra cute addition of Pom Pom along the bust. A similar style to the first suit I listed and just as cute. This is so feminine and sweet and I would also wear this as a bodysuit with a high-waist skirt as well. This suit is also available up to a F cup.

You see I think swimsuits are great for multiple uses in the summer. Why limit yourself to only swimming when you can create super cute outfits throughout multiple seasons.

Skirted!

Did you know Hell Bunny now make the most awesome selection of swing/circle skirts? Well they do and they are brilliant.

Available in an assortment of colours, prints and fabrics these skirts are made of the exact same fabrics that you can find many of their dresses in.

I wanted to do a  review for you guys to help you get the best size and styles available right now from this rocking range of separates. So the awesome Aaron Widyanto and I packed a car full of Hell Bunny skirts and petticoats and went for a fun little photo shoot.

Now I'm wearing these styles in 3 different sizes and I will give you the rundown on each.

Belt - Old Torrid sold out.

This print is perfection. Delicate red roses on a solid white cotton fabric, paired perfectly with my Dita Cardigan. I'm wearing this style in a size XL and it does fit my waist but has a little bit of spare room. My waist measurement jumps from 32 inches to 33 inches on a regular basis so I hope that helps you in your search for the right size. Listed as a size 34 inch waist it's close but still not perfect.

I've paired this with my white petticoat from Hell Bunny and I think the combination is adorable! I originally wanted a red petticoat to pair with this but I actually like the softness the white adds to this outfit. The white also came in handy with the next skirt I modeled. The petticoat fits nicely underneath this skirt with a flatness at the waist and bulk where you want it.

I just can't help but show off my underskirt while modeling such items and twirl. You can't forget to twirl in these skirts!!

Pinup Girl Clothing Belt (purchase in store)

Next up we have a colour combination I bet you never thought you'd see me in - baby blues and pinks oh my! This colour and print is so far from my usual styling but I do adore it! I'm a sucker for anything that features flamingo's and this print has my heart.

Sadly this is way too big for me so I've had to safety pin it at the back and add my own belt to secure the skirt at the right point on my waist. This skirt is in a size 2xl and is just not the right fit for my measurements.

The size chart listing of waist measurements for this size is 36 - 37 inches and I would say that is rather spot on.

But after wearing this style and print I'm actually loving the bright colours on my skin. I'm going to make an effort to bring more looks like this into my life come summer.

Belt - Old Torrid sold out.

If you have red hair you know that any shade of green is your best friend and this skirt is my new bestie. The colour is actually a lot darker in reality and the most stunning shade of almost emerald green. Paired with my black petticoat this is my favorite of all the outfits!

I am wearing this style in a size Large and to quote Goldilocks it's 'Just right' Yes we have a winner! I now need to order every Hell Bunny skirt in a large.

Paired again with my other Dita Cardigan which is a perfect match for so many of these skirts and prints.

Have you tried out any of these styles yet or are yet to invest in a few skirts or petticoats? Tell me what you think of all the new separates and prints bellow.

Rox it! - CLOSED

Fresh from the mail man and onto my face I could not even wait another moment to snap these awesome sunglasses and announce a little something special for you my readers. So excited that I could not wait another moment and had to snap away with my trusty iPhone!

Now I get a lot of questions about my sunglasses across social media and mainly on Instagram as I tend to take a lot of photos wearing them. I think sunglasses can make or break an outfit and it's all about having the right shape and colour for your face and skin tone.

Sunglasses Shop is a one stop shop for you guessed it - Sunglasses! They are jam packed with designer shades and other brilliant more affordable brands. I went with a style I've been fond of for a while now the 'over-sized frame' as it seems to suit me the most.

Now I've never purchased anything Roxy before as I've always associated the brand with surf wear and that's never really suited me. But after browsing all the styles on offer from this brand at Sunglasses Shop I've got to say I'm in love!

The ALEYNA style is big, bold and exactly what I've been looking for in a pair of sunnies. They are sleek and chic with a large enough frame to fit my needs. You see I'm either a cats-eye frame or over-sized frame kinda girl and these are the perfect size for over-sized.

These are brilliant daily, matches with everything and suits every need style glasses and a must have for anyone who is a big fan of the Butterfly or Large Frame style.

Design and Frame Specs :

These Roxy sunglasses are a classic feminine design. Ideal for the fashion conscious these are a great modern take on the iconic "A list" over-sized style that is so popular this season. The arm detail adds a luxurious edge.

Lens Colour: Grey Frame

Coming soon to Pinup Girl Clothing

Currently I'm on the look out for an amazing dress to wear to a wedding later in the year. I've been lusting over the 'Coming Soon' section of Pinup Girl Clothing in the hopes that I will find exactly what I need.

Sadly my wallet is not letting me buy up a storm but luckily for me these babies are not available for purchase just yet. Here is a sneak peak at the brilliant new Deadly Dames and Pinup Couture styles heading our way.

A little shop of horror's themed structured peplum dress from Deadly Dames? YES PLEASE!!! I've been in love with this film and the fashion since I was a little girl so this dress needs to be on my body asap. The fabric a one of a kind creation from Micheline Pitt exclusively for Pinup Girl Clothing.

I'm usually not a strapless fan but I've heard so many great things about the boning and structure of this dress. Paired with some hot lime green accessories. This style also comes in a few more not print fabrics so if  this is not up your alley (how can it not be?) then you can go with simple black or red.

Such a classic knit dress in a classic shape with just a hint of bad girl chic. I'm really into yellow at the moment and the style and cut of this dress suits my curves so perfectly. This shade of yellow/gold would work perfectly with red hair. This style also comes in red so the choice of which colour is so hard!

I'm loving the black chiffon necktie paired with this dress to really give it that hot rod vibe. I would pair this with the same accessories plus gloves, a black beret and a hot rod.

Pinup Couture Betsey Swing Dress in Black Gingham - $120.00

I'm currently on the biggest gingham kick known to man kind and I've been searching high and low for a dress exactly like the Bestey! Perfect for layering with cute cardigans and stockings in the winter and even more perfect for the warmer months.

I just adore the black accents and the full skirt which until last two years I've never really been fond of. Swing skirts have definitely scored a big place in my heart.

Then lastly the Luscious dress. I actually intended to purchase one of the Luscious dresses when I was over in the US earlier this year but I had no luck finding the Octavio style I was after. Now after seeing this version I think it might be fate that I could not find the other version.

A bright and lush red dress suitable to wear all spring and summer long with the most adorable pinup girl embroidered on each shoulder. This style is amazing for big busts and for hour glass figures as it really nips you in where it's important.

Well that's my current lust list! I would sell my light leg to have these babies in my closest and would shoot up a storm in them!

What's currently on your PUG lust list?
