Spiegel Lust List

Well Melbourne  you are in full swing of summer weather this week it seems but I'm not sure I trust you 100% just yet. So I will always be on the look out for both flowing, soft summery dresses as well as more breezy summer night outfits.

I was recently linked to Spiegel and I've found 3 brilliant outfits I'd want to rock over the next few months. If you have been reading my blog for a while you know now by now that I have an abundance of lust lists. I can't help it! I need EVERYTHING! So with the jumpsuit style still fresh in my mind and summer frocks needed I've found the following for my Spiegel Lust List :

A more modern spin on my usual jumpsuit style. This fitted style will look amazing on an hour glass figure as the peplum will make your waist look tiny. Ad a thick bright coloured waist belt and bring down that waist size even more so. The basic black jumpsuit is a great base for bright accessories and you can change it up with every wear.

I'd pair the jumpsuit with these amazing orange pumps. The pop of colour will look amazing! Currently I'm loving pointed toe pumps again which you'll discover as you scroll down. Orange has been a love for mine for a few years now so these will be so much fun to wear.

So soft, flowing and just screams summer days, picnics and open air cinema dates. The Cerie dress is the ultimate summer frock with a stunning floral print and a more relaxed fit with adorable details. I would wear this style in prints or block colours as it's such an effortless yet chic dress.
 Aurora Pumps - $54.00

Pairing this dress with the more obvious style pump but also thinking about how amazing these would also look with the jumpsuit. This is my stand out favorite shoe on the website. I always tend to swoon for anything in cobalt blue.

Yes I do have a skater dress addiction and I'm proud of it. I wear dresses in this style daily all year round but until now I've never found the write cross over/wrap style I've been after. Again in basic black (it is very me to go all black) with 3/4 sleeves I will wear this dress in every single season. With the pumps bellow in the warmer months and with thick tights, boots and coats in the cooler months.

The wrap is super flattering on my figure and the cross over bust works great with bigger bust-lines. This is the dress you can wear everywhere!

A not so basic black pump to pair with the little black dress above. I love the detail on this style as it gives so much texture and edge to a basic black leather pump. This is also the style I'm looking for to wear on cooler summer evenings as it allows your feet to breath.

All of the shoes I've added to my lust list can be mixed up and paired with each outfit within this post. They all seem to work in their own way and will cover you for both the warm and cool months.

What are you looking for the summer style wise?

Rockabilly Retro from City Chic!

City Chic have released a new pinup/rockabilly inspired line for Summer 2011 and its so cute!! You know how much I adore pinup as a style and I've found the most perfect casual outfit all from City Chic! Click on the images for a larger view.

Bow Print Cardi $69.95
Pearl Bow Necklace $39.95
High Waist 4 Button Jeans (Sold out online check in store) $89.95

These jeans are perfect, I had the last high waist style that was released but they were a size too big and I could only wear them for a few weeks sadly. So when these popped up online I did a happy dance! They suck everything in, hold you in nice and tight and elongate your legs. I have a slight obsession with anything high waisted so these had to be mine! The dark blue rinse is very flattering as well.

Its a basic little rockabilly casual look for me really I love either wearing this outfit with super high heels or little ballet flats.

The Bow Cardigan is a perfect fit, its for fitting around the bust when buttoned up but has lots of give. I'm wearing this in a XS and the jeans a 14. I've been wearing the cardie non stop all week with dresses and other sets of tops and jeans, its so easy to mix and match. The top underneath is a bodysuit i got from Jeans west last season, I find they work so much better with high waisted garments.

Then to top it off a adorable pearl bow necklace, what's rockabilly/pinup without pearls?

My next mission is to work the oh so cute bobby socks and pumps look they have bellow. I've adore socks with heels so I'm on the look out for the perfect outfit to match it.

So make sure you check out the new range they have so many cute vintage inspired pieces to suit a more curvy shape!

Also check out the behind the scenes clip for the new look book. It's fantastic and I wish I was on set for this shoot!

What she wore - Carmakoma Review

A while back I showed my favorite items from Carmakoma , I adore their online store so much and really wanted to know how they would look on my shape.

So I browsed the stunning new stock and picked two items to slip into a less than a week later a package was at my door - now how is that for shipping!

Carmakoma designs and produces clothes for curvy women in sizes 14-24. Quoted from their facebook page 'Our style is contrasted – a mix of rock’chick coolness and feminine sweetness. The clothes are designed and produced with heartfelt attention – making the final product of high quality and a perfect mix of styles for both the ”cutting edge” fashionista and the woman with the sophisticated weekday-look' I have to say this description is pretty much spot on.

So out I went with the fantastic Michael Alesich (who is brilliant) into the heart of the city and road tested the fantastic designs.

I got Agyness Skirt - EUR 75.21, the Moss Dress - EUR 68.36 and the Rollercoaster Belt - EUR 27.26.

First I slipped on the Moss Dress made from a soft silky jersey size XS I'm wearing this with black tights and the Rollercoaster Belt I also put my favorite bow belt on and it worked very well too. Click on the images for a larger view.

The fit is perfect around the chest, arms and waist. It falls beautifully and i love the details on the shoulders. I must admit this is a little to short for me to wear as a dress but with the right tights you can rock this as a dress or team it up over jeans and wear it as a tunic.

Be sure to check out the multiple was to wear the Rollercoaster Belt on the site as well.

Then for some real rock chic action the Agyness Skirt!

How i love every little detail on this skirt. From the studs, the leather look fabric to the folds and shapes in the fabric. I've never thought about wearing a mini skirt before but I'm actually comfortable in this. Its lined also which is great and I'm wearing a S in this as my hip measurement was a tad to big for the XS. Its a little roomy around the waist but I will get a tailor to take it in during the week.

So I'm very happy with my Carmakoma goodies and I can't wait to slip into some more designs.

Check out the behind the scenes video for their Autumn/Winter 2010 range and follow the blog Carmakoma Blog.

Little Black Dress

Well hello there Spring!

Spring has finally sprung her in Melbourne and I wanted to share my recent purchase. I needed a little black dress to wear out to dinner last night and I found this adorable number in Target! Yes Target and for the nifty price of $49.00

I would usually buy more of a figure hugging shape but i thought this could work both day and night due to the A-line skirt. The lace top is stunning, my crappy camera can't to it justice!

Simply accessorized with my over sized black glasses from Jeepers Peepers and a little fabric flower that also doubles as a headband or choker from Diva.

I've got so many shoes that I though I'd show case these today though I wore this dress with boots last night to keep warm.

I'm actually looking to sell these amazing pumps as they have never been worn other than for this photo. I don't get much use for this style sadly and I'm looking to pass them onto a good home.

They are a size 10US and are a perfect fit for my 10AUS foot. Easy to walk in, very yummy and make your legs look amazing!

Here are some options if you want to find a dress like this to wear for any occasion.
