Neon Demons

I can honestly say I fell in love with most of this collection as the ornate black and white prints called to me but my 3 favourite pieces are completely new styles for me and I'm super excited to style them with the rest of my wardrobe.

Is this really Teer wearing a super high neckline on a bold and pale print? Hell yeah it is!!! I'm usually wearing darker shades and patterns but there was something that drew me to the Gummy Brains mini skater.

As a mad fan of skater dresses I knew from the get go that the style would be super flattering on my figure but I was on the fence about how well this amazing print would look on my ample assets. Once I wiggled my way into though that fear vanished and I was instantly in love. 

The Gummy skater is soft, stretchy and so very comfortable. The long sleeves and high neckline really make my bust pop and absolutely adore wearing this dress. I'm in the XL as per usual, and the fit is spot on. The print is so funky and fun and I can't get enough of this shade of blue.

Wearing this I'm feeling some Mars Attack alien girl vibes crossed with the bot from Resuscitator's Polyester Girl film clip and I'm loving it! 

The fit on this style is so flattering that I'll be snapping up more in the future be it in mini or midi lengths. So bring on all the prints and solids please Blackmilk!

Custom Nails by Candi Glam on Etsy 

In the images above you might see a little strappy magic going on under the bright blue brains! With the success of the Blackmilk stockings, I've finally ordered my first pair of leggings! The Eternal Bond Leggings are pure magic and really make your legs pop. 

Create with faux leather, lots of silver studs and sport material these suspender style leggings are the perfect leg-wear to pair with all of my Blackmilk mini dresses. 

I was worried my chunky thighs might not fit into these but I actually find the XL to be a little too big on the short/top area. It's not a huge issue, though, and the fit is super comfortable. So if you are a plus size girl and you are lusting after any black milk tights or leggings don't be afraid to give them a try. You'll be impressed with the stretch and comfort in each pair. 

Widow Lace Kimono - $119.00

Now for something a little more traditionally my style but with a super sheer twist. I've been on the look out for a stunning cover up piece for summer swimsuits and the Widow Lace Kimono has answered my prayers.

A strong and intricate black lace robe with all those traditional kimono features and flowing sleeves.I'm wearing a size L and it's perfect as I can wear it wrapped of open as shown in these images. I'll be pairing this with a few swimsuits so be sure to look out for it in upcoming swimwear reviews.

This piece is not limited to lingerie or swimwear pairings and I'm really looking forward to pairing it with skater dresses, jeans and band tees, and more!

Gone Batty Flouncy Top - $80.00

Lastly, I wanted to pair two of my favourite pieces from my collection as I was inspired purely by the product shot as I was browsing through more spooky themed prints and outfits. 

The Gone Batty top is effortlessly chic with a 40's sleeve and pussy bow neckline but for this shoot I've actually tied the bow at  the back and created a peephole type bust-line. 

The batty print looks AMAZING when paired with the super shiny PVC and the fit of this piece really makes your curves pop. I'm wearing both in an XL and the fit is spot on. But be sure to double check the size chart as the PVC has less stretch than other pieces. 

 Now to start saving for the next few Blackmilk releases as I'm dying to add more prints, more colours and test out different styles and shapes.

Trick or Treat

Halloween is not limited to the 31st of October in my home. I've always filled my apartment with all things kooky and spooky but when September rolls around all my favourite brands start releasing their Halloween prints and collections and I can't control myself or my wallet.

For this post I'm focusing on one of my all time favourite brands Sourpuss, for cute, casual and unique pieces to wear all year round because in my world every day is Halloween. Now this post is a long one as Sourpuss Clothing are the best in the biz and have so many pieces be it clothing or accessories so get ready to have an overload of information!

Each and every piece in this review is a size XXL and I find that this specific size really fits my shape and bust perfectly. I've also included some absolutely magical props from Costumes.com.au who are my new go to prop and costume shops in Australia!

One of my stand out favourite prints this spooky season is Over The Moon which features retro cats, bats and moons. The sweetheart swing style is super flattering as it has a ruffled neckline, smocked back and a nipped in waist - complete with matching belt. The smocking makes this fabric really fit perfectly to your curves and the full skirt equals everything out to create that perfect hour glass shape.

The pockets and hem also features these supersweet ruffle details and I love how well the boned bodice hugs fits my chest and waist.

This style comes with removable and adjustable straps, so you can get that perfect fit. I'm wearing it without any of the additional straps as I've pair this style with a cardigan.

I just can't get enough of this bright orange and black print and can't wait to wear it all year round.

Prop wise this print screamed balloons to me so I've paired it with the light up jack'o'lanten balloons.

It can't be Halloween without multiple retro kitty prints! I'm an absolute sucker for a Sourpuss skater dress and this amazing print features the sweetest little black kitten and bright orange pumpkins. Made from that tried, tested and adored super stretchy fabric that hugs your curves and is perfect for all year round wear. I'm on my 5th SP skater dress, and I think I'll be addicted to them for life.

Inspired by all of the SP brooches and iron on patches I've gone for a full spooky halloween theme with this brilliant vest. Focusing on the new patches and pins that Sourpuss just recently got in stock. Traditional Halloween colours, creeps, creatures and more, all mixed in with my addiction - enamel pins.

I've added a mixture of A Clockwork Orange, horror, and creepy crawlies adorn my vest with a few of my old faves mix in. Now the only thing I have left to complete this vest is the addition of a back-patch - but what?

My clothing dreams have come true! As a full-blown raglan addict, I yelled the house down the moment I saw this little skater dress. I live in baseball/raglan style tops and now I finally own one in dress form.

Not only is it the most perfect shape and fit but the morbid little joke paired with a retro hearse has my heart a flutter. I have hearse printed dresses, bags and lots of accessories so I'm way to excited to add this into my weekly rotation of looks.

The shorter sleeve did worry me but it hits at the perfect point so it offers coverage and slims any bulk. A little birdie also told me a 3/4 sleeve will be coming out for the cooler months so I'm going to go gaga for that! 

SOURPUSS LUNA BATS KEYHOLE SKATER DRESS - $60

Created from one of the softness fabrics I've ever had the pleasure of wearing the Luna Bats keyhole skater is a dream to wear. Clearly I'm a fan of skater dresses and I'm loving the variety of prints and sleeve lengths SP have available. The bat covered sleeves are super log and silk soft.

The key hole element shows a little peek of cleavage and helps the bust sit perfectly. The perfect spooky printed causal look for work or out with friends and I can't wait to style this with boots, lots of bold tights and more.

Now let's chat about this amazing wreath. I've always had a love for Halloween themed wreaths but this year I wanted to get something perfect for my morbid taste level. This boney fella is the perfect adornment for our front door and as you can see the best frame for portraits.

Such an amazing price for something so much bigger that I honestly expected!

But this piece is not limited for one use and can be the perfect addition any spooky themed party or if your'e a lover of all things skeleton related an amazing piece for your living room.

Now it's time for a sleeveless skater. As a huge fan of Silence of the Lambs I'm forever collecting all things Death Moth related as it's such an iconic visual. Sourpuss have created both a skater and a cardigan with this black and white Death Moth print and I'm smitten. 

So simple to style, effortless to wear and the perfect little summer dress! I've pair this style with my purple Yemak sweater and love how well the print teams up with a bright pop of colour. What I love most about all of these pieces is how versatile they are for all year round wear. Wear them with flats in the summer or layer with tights, cardigans and boots in the winter.

What's this another prop? Things are getting a little dark and spooky and lets face it rather silly! I just had to include the light up Larva Head prop in this shoot. How can you not right? Those red glowing eyes, spooky spiders and that larva pod. Just imagine the critter that caught this fella? Too late now I've run off with it!

Skull And Bones Door Wreath Halloween Prop - $34.95 

Now to end this amazing creepy forest collection of images we have the Lydia dress. I've been eyeing off the Lydia in all of the various colour variants for a while now but I was never sure if it would work with my body shape. But as you can see the result once I wiggle my way into this piece is a big YES it works!!

This dress screams summer gothic chic with it's flowing layers of soft fabric, 40's inspired sleeve and contrasting buttons, waist band and spider web collar. The bold white accents make this piece pop and I love the softness and stretch the fabric offers, giving me the ability to button up or down without too much stress.

Now you might need a friend to help you get into this dress as it has a side zip which helps create that cinched in waist. This piece is AMAZING, and I've now added the red and black stripe and pink to my lust list. Now let's see if any more prints or colour ways will be released in the futures. 

Custom Trick or Treat Press On Nail Set - $70.00

Now it can't be a full spooky themed shoot without a set of amazing custom nails and these stunning Trick or Treat claws were created by Candi Glam Nails! The perfect mixture of retro Halloween with horror! 

Due to my work I can't get away with my most loved super long claws but with creators like Candi Glam in the market I can get stunning custom made pieces that pair perfectly with all of my themed shoots and can be worn as often as I like! With more options to chop and change your styles and themes I love this so much more than just having acrylics. 

Each set is sent with a file, buffer, swab (to clean the base of your nail) slick on taps and all the important instructions. I also got my paws on their amazing cuticle oil, and I'm absolutely in LOVE! The smell of must never leaves my hands and I'm forever loving that scent.

The Emerald Forest

There is nothing I love more than rich detailed fabrics, lush floral prints a perfect pair of ruby red heels. This review features the most delicious pieces from my favourite brands and a few extra goodies.

After many years of modeling the Trixie Doll Dress , I've finally had the chance to get my hands on the deep red velvet and golden sparkles version and it's absolutely amazing. I've always had a soft spot for this stunning style and over the years I've worn different colours and prints. From a size 16 to 18 I've never had a bad fit day and I've always loved the flattering bust, nipped in waist and 3/4 sleeve on this dress.

Following the success of the navy and silver sparkle doll version of this dress in 2018 a new red colour way was released this season and I feel like it was made for me! The use of velvet makes this style more lush and winter friendly. It's the perfect Holiday/Event dress for non Australian's and as we still a little chilly here in Melbourne it's now the perfect time to take this out for a spin.

I'm wearing the 18 and as per usually I could have sized down due to the sheer amount of stretch in this garment. I always order my standard size and then get a shock at how much wriggle room their is in it. So if you want a super firm fit be sure to size down. 

The attention to detail in this piece is amazing and, I can't wait to add even more velvet versions into my collection. The Navy has been restocked and, you can also snap up a black, a black dot/moon print  and a black/silver version appropriately named Make A Wish. I need both on my body ASAP! If you are not a huge fan of swing style dresses you can also pick up this rich red number in a wiggle! 

You might have also noticed the stunning rose gold headpiece I'm wearing in these images. Brooke and I teamed up to shoot a few one of a kind Belle Foile pieces and because of this stunning headband I'm now obsessed with rose gold. The detail and craftsmanship in this piece are second to none and I'd love to work with this brand again in the future. 

As you can see throughout the years, I've modeled this dress at each possibly opportunity and it's PERFECTION!

Now obviously this dress is wonderfully on larger busts but for this shoot I chose to pair this amazing style with my obsession - Booby Tape! This amazing product lets me go bra free and makes the twins look like they pert, super shapely and 100% amazing. I swear to you this product is magical and if it can hold up my 16HH cup all day long without breaking, failing or causing any grief you know it must be worth it! 

So when you have such a magical and lush dress what do you  pair with it? Equally as amazing Irregular Choice heels!

Irregular Choice Wanderlust Red White Stripe High Heel - TBA 

I never thought it was possible for one pair of shoes to feature all of my most loved elements all mixed together perfectly but this Wanderlust style has done it. Featuring contrasting white and red stripes, little blue hearts, bow, supersweet cherries and what might be the most perfect heel on earth.

I first fell in love with this heel when I shot the Trinkletina heels earlier this year. I then purchased a stunning pair of black and silver sparkled lovelies with this style of heel. It's fair to say this is my most loved look that IC creates as the clear etched glass look is so magical. I'm wearing these in a size 42 and they are a perfect fit. I can't wait to wear these all year round and create some supercute outfits with them.

Now let's talk about this stunning background!! Yes, I have another Wandering Folk picnic rug to share with you. But this time it's a lush forest creation in blue, yellow, cream and pink hues. What I love most about their rugs are the durable cotton canvas, unique hand drawn artwork on the top side and the fact that they are coated with UPF30+ so your print will stay vibrant after use.

The base is made of waterproof canvas to keep you dry from the damp ground. Wandering Folk picnic rugs are adorned with hand made cotton tassels on each corner which gives them that extra special element of sophistication. I'm now set for summer picnics and parties and I'll be making everyone drool with my amazing rugs.

What I love most about creating each flat lay is sourcing the products to pair with the shoes. A lovely bottle of red, my favourite Miu Miu sunglasses, pinecones, flowers and a 1908 edition copy of the Scarlet Pimpernel. These rugs will be used constantly over the next few months as my husband and I love a picnic date.
