Picnic Pretty With Irregular Choice

If you've not noticed yet I'm absolutely obsessed with Irregular Choice and creating amazing flat lays with their stunningly creative footwear and all of my favourite spring picnic pieces. Inspired by the shoes themselves my husband/photographer and I create a little picnic around each style and this week we got to feature some extra yummy treats.

Little Misty Unicorn Heels

Are you looking for a little heel with a lotta magic? Then the Misty Heels are the perfect mini heels with all the necessary sparkles. Featuring a glittery upper with pearl embellishments, castle and unicorn applique and the adorable embroidered king of the castle heel statement.

These super comfy sparkling heels  have so many details you'll be mesmerized and constantly showing people your amazing footwear. The sweet combination of pastel blue, pink and purple make these a great summer/spring style shoe and they look amazing when paired with floral dresses or solid swing skirts. I've styled these with a few magical pieces that I had a home - a few fairy sized mushrooms, hats, floral crowns and moss covered rocks and bunnies.

Size wise I've gone with the size 42 and the fit is perfect. Great for all day wear without and fuss!

Little Kisses Macaron Heels
This dreamy patisserie inspired heel is covered in cakes, cream, sugar and spice and everything nice! Featuring a 4 inch pump siting on a stack of sweets, glitter bow and trim plus (It looks like icing!) and scalloped trim piping. Fresh patisserie chic in shoe form and that perfect you may think these are sweet enough to eat.

The upper is a super soft pale green/blue base covered in macaroons - so adorable! The soft shade is perfect for pretty much every pinup print in my wardrobe and I'll be wearing these all summer long. Again I'm wearing these in a 42, and I've found that depending on the style itself I go between a 41-42 in all Irregular Choice shoes.

With such a sweet design, my styling options were so easy! Using bold coloured macaroons from home, some other sweet treats both props and edible we created an adorable set up.

For this set I wanted to focus on the my latest addiction Bone Dry Rose and Sofi Spritz! Rose is my ultimate summer beverage and I'm always on the look out for new drops.

Bone Dry Rose popped up in my inbox a few months ago and I was instantly drawn to the label. When I'm shopping for a new Rose' to try I've learnt to trust colour, and avoid anything ruby or pink.

Bone Dry Rose' as aptly named is crisp, super refreshing and dry as a bone! Only recently have I discovered just how much a love, a dry wine and even a dry cider so this is by far my ultimate Rose for this coming Aussie heat. Dry with a subtle hint of lemon to create a super refreshing summer friendly wine that pairs perfectly with a picnic.

I'm that smitten with this Rose that I'll be ordering a box to keep me going over the summer and I've already introduced it to my mother who originally introduced me to the blush side of wine.

What I love most about the Bone Dry is the option to have either the large 750ml bottles to share or the adorable 250ml solo size bottles. They suit so many occasions, and I can't wait to pack all of these goodies and into a full-size picnic basket and hit the outdoor cinema's this summer.

I've also fallen hard for the Sofi Spritz Italian flavours range which are made by the same company. I  tried the French Flavours in the past and even used them in a shoot this year, but I'd not had the love for them as much as these absolutely divine Italian summer flavours.

Featuring Lemon and Elderflower, Blood Orange and Bitters and White Peach and Ginger. Each 250ml can is 8.00% and these tasty little treats can be snapped up at your local bottle shop. I found all of the flavours in both bottles and cans at my local Dan Murphy's. You can also check out their website for all stockist details.

Each unique and utterly delicious can is perfect when served icy cold or even over ice. This is the most refreshing and tasty spritz on the market and I'll be keeping these in the fridge all summer long.

The Emerald Forest

There is nothing I love more than rich detailed fabrics, lush floral prints a perfect pair of ruby red heels. This review features the most delicious pieces from my favourite brands and a few extra goodies.

Rose Gold Head Piece - https://bellefolie.com.au/

After many years of modeling the Trixie Doll Dress , I've finally had the chance to get my hands on the deep red velvet and golden sparkles version and it's absolutely amazing. I've always had a soft spot for this stunning style and over the years I've worn different colours and prints. From a size 16 to 18 I've never had a bad fit day and I've always loved the flattering bust, nipped in waist and 3/4 sleeve on this dress.

Following the success of the navy and silver sparkle doll version of this dress in 2018 a new red colour way was released this season and I feel like it was made for me! The use of velvet makes this style more lush and winter friendly. It's the perfect Holiday/Event dress for non Australian's and as we still a little chilly here in Melbourne it's now the perfect time to take this out for a spin.

I'm wearing the 18 and as per usually I could have sized down due to the sheer amount of stretch in this garment. I always order my standard size and then get a shock at how much wriggle room their is in it. So if you want a super firm fit be sure to size down.

The attention to detail in this piece is amazing and, I can't wait to add even more velvet versions into my collection. The Navy has been restocked and, you can also snap up a black, a black dot/moon print  and a black/silver version appropriately named Make A Wish. I need both on my body ASAP! These are just a few options colours, and prints that you can find via their webstore.

If you are not a huge fan of swing style dresses you can also pick up this rich red number in a wiggle!

You might have also noticed the stunning rose gold headpiece I'm wearing in these images. Brooke and I teamed up to shoot a few one of a kind Belle Foile pieces and because of this stunning headband I'm now obsessed with rose gold. The detail and craftsmanship in this piece are second to none and I'd love to work with this brand again in the future.

As you can see throughout the years, I've modeled this dress at each possibly opportunity and it's PERFECTION!

Now obviously this dress is wonderfully on larger busts but for this shoot I chose to pair this amazing style with my obsession - Booby Tape! This amazing product lets me go bra free and makes the twins look like they pert, super shapely and 100% amazing. I swear to you this product is magical and if it can hold up my 16HH cup all day long without breaking, failing or causing any grief you know it must be worth it!

So when you have such a magical and lush dress what do you  pair with it? Equally as amazing Irregular Choice heels!

I never thought it was possible for one pair of shoes to feature all of my most loved elements all mixed together perfectly but this Wanderlust style has done it. Featuring contrasting white and red stripes, little blue hearts, bow, supersweet cherries and what might be the most perfect heel on earth.

I first fell in love with this heel when I shot the Trinkletina heels earlier this year. I then purchased a stunning pair of black and silver sparkled lovelies with this style of heel. It's fair to say this is my most loved look that IC creates as the clear etched glass look is so magical. I'm wearing these in a size 42 and they are a perfect fit. I can't wait to wear these all year round and create some supercute outfits with them.

Now let's talk about this stunning background!! Yes, I have another Wandering Folk picnic rug to share with you. But this time it's a lush forest creation in blue, yellow, cream and pink hues. What I love most about their rugs are the durable cotton canvas, unique hand drawn artwork on the top side and the fact that they are coated with UPF30+ so your print will stay vibrant after use.

The base is made of waterproof canvas to keep you dry from the damp ground. Wandering Folk picnic rugs are adorned with hand made cotton tassels on each corner which gives them that extra special element of sophistication. I'm now set for summer picnics and parties and I'll be making everyone drool with my amazing rugs.

What I love most about creating each flat lay is sourcing the products to pair with the shoes. A lovely bottle of red, my favourite Miu Miu sunglasses, pinecones, flowers and a 1908 edition copy of the Scarlet Pimpernel. These rugs will be used constantly over the next few months as my husband and I love a picnic date.

Apple Spice and Everything Nice

As Melbourne starts to warm up and spring is in full bloom I'm inspired by new prints, colours and all detailed adorable accessories. But unlike most of my reviews which usually start with an item of clothing this post was based on my amazing Irregular Choice shoes.

With a floral and sparkling base, I created both a full outfit, and an amazing flat lay and I'm 100% in love with this outfit - from head to toe. There is something so satisfying about creating a full look and styling each and every piece - almost like telling a little story through your outfit.

The base for this amazing outfit started with my Apple Spice Heels in gold floral from Irregular Choice. These stunning small heels feature a classically styled upper of roses are surrounded by glitter and finished with a grosgrain bow and triple layered matching rose fabric bow. I'm wearing these in a 42, and they fit like an absolute dream.

From the moment I saw these thoughts of cream buns, yummy wine and lots of fruit popped into mind so the flat lay was so simple to create! Mixing all my most loved items with these heels and the stunning blue floral fabric to create a soft and sweet look.

The soft floral paired with the glittering gold also inspired me to find the most perfect picnic rug and during my search I found my new favourite outdoor accessory company - Wandering Folk. A company that focuses on the things I hold dear, outdoor adventures, good friends and great food. They create picnic rugs, outdoor coolers, cushions, and glasswear and have all of your picnic, camping our outdoor needs covered in such a stunning and stylish way.

This pastel picnic rug was the perfect choice to pair with this look and the comfort and stunning print make you want to lay in the park all day with a good book. This beautiful rug is completed with a weather proof base, 4 tassels an a brown woven strap which turns this piece into it's own carry bag I'm now counting down the days till summer so I can get out and about with this effortlessly stylish piece.

With the base sorted it was time to complete the full look with a beautiful blue floral print from Lindy Bop. The magnolia blue watercolour swing dress is so different for me but as I've mentioned in earlier posts this year 2019 is all about trying new colours for me!

The soft blue and white floral print is divine and so easy to style with a variety of colours. This piece features a deep fitted waistband, wrap around bust, lined bodice (for that extra level of comfort), a Vshaped pleated neckline and capped sleeves. The pleated bust is a brilliant feature for a larger cup girl like myself as it molds to fit your bust perfectly. I'm wearing this swing dress in a UK18, and the fit is amazing with a little stretch and room at the waist. Plus this piece also has pockets so you can sneak all the snacks into your picnic.

I've paired this amazing dress with my Yemak 3/4 cardigan in the shade Honey and a deep red belt. I love how well this blue floral print pairs with primary colours.

I wear an XL in all Yemak cardigans and I tend to pair them with absolutely everything due to fit and colour range.

Accessories wise other than the absolutely amazing footwear I've combined 3 of my brightest blooms from Miz Smitten Kitten. Grouping all of my complimentary pieces is my go to style at the moment - the bigger the better!

I can't get enough of each and every piece in this outfit, and I can't wait to style each in the future. Thank you to my amazing husband for shooting these images with me.

Irregularly Brilliant

Last month I had the absolute pleasure of attending the Irregular Choice Melbourne Store Launch Party. I've been in love with this brand for a while now but I've not had a chance to wear or purchase any of their amazing items.
But the week earlier I made sure that I rectified this and purchased the most me shoes on planet earth from a local stockiest Shoe Fun who I've reviewed earlier this year. I wanted to purchase my first pair of heels but with the amazing selection I could not choose until I found the amazing Batty For You Heels.
The event was AMAZING! As soon as we entered the Swanston Street store we were blown away with the bold colours, glittering, shimmering walls and all the amazing stock. Amazing tunes were pumping away and I met Denver who handed me some fairy floss. Now after a full day at work this was perfection. We chatted, met new amazing humans and drools over all the amazing shoes for sale.
While we could not party all night long with the IC crew and guests we had an amazing time and left with the cutest gift bags and I might have scored a new pair of flats!

These amazing spooky Halloween themed heels were the inspiration for my full look. Featuring a 10cm glitter covered heel,  gemstone embellishments, huge spider and black bat wings these shoes inspired me to purchase a stunning gothic pinup Dress from Vixen by Micheline Pitt and wear a bold black bat belt.

Each little detail on these super comfortable heels is bold, shimmery and whimsical. From the glittered spider webs to the posable bat wings they are more than just a shoe they are wearable art.
While I have  a size 10AU sized foot I was advised that these were a small fit so I ordered the 42 and they fit like a dream.
What I love most about Irregular Choice is the attention to detail with each and every pair of shoes and accessories. Each shoe is a work of art and absolutely mesmerizing on closer inspection. From every angle their amazing creations are magical and you'll be 100% addicted, much like myself, once you buy your first pair.
So what did I snap up from the Launch. While I wanted to bundle up every high and low pair of heels there, some booties and wedges I was actually gifted an amazing pair of flats.

Hooting About Flats - No longer in stock
Yes you read that right the queen of epic high heels loves flats! I'm forever struggling to find a pair of flat shoes that fit both comfortably yet don't look odd. I've owed many pairs but I find they loose their shape and can be super boring.
But now that I have the Hooting About shoes in my world I'll not have to worry about that again. These stunning slip on's have it all - glitter, scales, test, embossed base and the sweetest and very detailed owl.

These shoes are so comfortable and I swear it was a fight between my husband and I on who will be wearing these as we are the same size in shoes. The perfect style for work if you want to add a little sparkle to your wardrobe, for weekend brunch dates or any casual outfit.
I'm wearing these in the 42 as well and they have a tiny bit of room but I find that is the case with most of my flats. This is easily fixed with the addition of IC inserts which as cute and detailed as the shoes.

I can't wait to add more and more of these stunning creations to my collection as nothing makes me happier than bright and brilliant shoes.
