Naughty Alice

I had an amazing delivery this week. A sweet yet naughty bottle of Vivienne Westwood's Naughty Alice. I've adored the sweet, cheeky and sexy artwork for this product and little did I know how popular this fragrance is and how much I would love it.

Described as a blend of naughty femininity in a magical universe this soft and sensual perfume won me over from the fist sniff. A musky yet floral scent that is super sweet and alluring. A change from the highly vanilla infused scent that I wear constantly. This to me is the perfect day wear scent and it is soft, light and delicious.

Described as the modern powdery elegance of black rose and carnal violet is sublimated by the warm sensuality of the ylang-ylang. I can't even begin to explain to you how stunning this smells you will have to go out immediately and try it yourself. Once on your skin you will continue to sniff and sniff!

This amazing fragrance is not only heaven in a bottle but I love the mystique and little story that goes along with the character. Naughty Alice is a determined, vivacious and pioneering young heroine who lives in a magical universe. She is mischievous, independent by nature and dares to be different. Like the fragrance, she is whimsical and playful while being sexy.

The bottle has also been designed to represent ultra feminine curves and I absolutely adore that feature.

Not only do you get this lovely scent but you get an accessory as well! Wrapped around the neck of the bottle, a bracelet in Eau du Nil Blue enamel with gold details. I've been wearing this since I opened the bottle as I love the mixture of gold and pale blue. Yes - I'm anti gold but I adore this!

So as you can tell I'm 100% in love with this fragrance and I'm sure once you try this you will be as well.

Prices for the whole range of Naughty Alice products are as follows. Please note that these are from Australian based retailers.
EDP 30ml $65
EDP 50ml $95
EDP 75ml $125
Body Veil 150ml $40
Velvet Irresistible Bath Gel 150ml $30

I'm now very interested to try the two other scents from this collection which are Flirty Alice and Cheeky Alice. I wonder if they are as lovely as this one?

Whiskey Cowgirl

Some new styles have landed at sourpuss and I've taken my favorites out for a test drive/shoot! In this set I've chosen some brilliant items that are perfect for the surprise summer weather Melbourne has sprung on us. With the fantastic prices you'll be able to update your wardrobe for next to nothing!

If you know me then you'll know my favorite separate of 2012 is the Vavavoom Top. This style fits your bust and body like no other! I'm slowly collecting all the colour ways available and now Sourpuss have released the VavaVoom Dress!

True to the style of the original top the Vavavoom dress is brilliant. I'm wearing the XL and I could honestly get away with a size down as it's that stretchy! This style can be worn as I've shown it here with any waist belt, cute cardigans to cover up on the chillier spring nights and layered like crazy in the colder months.

I've also found that this dress works as a slip for some of my other dresses that are a tiny bit too short, thanks to my bust and bum - always the way! It can extend the length of any dress in a really funky way and I've been wearing this style in both ways since shooting these images.

I also choose two of the new boozy related accessories to go with each dress. For this style :

Sourpuss Gin Decanter Necklace - $18.00

Sorry for the lack of close up but the shot did not turn out!

Sourpuss Giddy Up Western Dress

My body and this dress were meant to be. I adore all things western and as soon as this dress popped up online I new that I needed to wear it at least twice a week. A gorgeous grey tone check and red western accents make this dress absolutely perfect!! I'm wearing the size XL and it fits me like a glove. I've been wearing  the bust both buttoned up and unbuttoned as it works either way.

The fabric is a rayon and spandex mix and as you can see it stuck to my tights a little while shooting. This is just static and was gone after the first wash. I've been pairing this with all of my cowboy boots and cute little red cardigans. I've also heard that this style is set to come out in Red!

I can't seem to find this online the Sourpuss store anymore so I've hunted the internet to find you guys a variety of stores to purchase this from.

Tragic Beautiful in stock for $58.95
Unique Vintage in stock for $58.00
Rockabilly Girlz in stock for $53.00
Last Gang Emporium in stock for £44.95
Amazon in stock for $52.99

I paired this western dress with the the brilliant Whiskey necklace.

Just like all my other styles this is perfect! I know most larger bust girls shy away from stripes but I've chosen to say to hell with that and embrace it. I'm wearing this in a Large and this is my personal preference for this style top. The fit is phenomenal and I mainly wear these tops with high waist skirt or I let them peak through the bust and bottom of my Dita Cardigans. For the stripe I love pairing this style with  a solid black high waist option as the print works better for my body shape to be broken up in such a way.

Such a brilliant top! I hope for Sourpuss release many different options of both this and the dress version for many years to come.

Work wear for spring

Sponsored Post

After much anticipation the weather warmer weather has finally hit Melbourne with sunny breaks and less rain with a glimpse of the warmer months ahead. October has now arrive, and already the mornings seem a tiny bit brighter and the evenings are extending now that we have hit daylight savings – my favorite part of the year. This means the warmer weather is on its way, bringing less rain, more sun, fun and because it’s Melbourne a little unpredictability. But don’t put your boots away or your winter warmers just yet. Try pairing them with your spring sundresses and even autumn styles to mix and match this season. For your work wardrobe why not mix both current season stock and even mix in the autumn styles that are currently in on the other side of the globe. Living in Melbourne we can have 4 seasons in one day so by mixing both spring and autumn you can make some rocking looks in your wardrobe this season.

Spring is all about dresses! There is something in the air that makes you want to rip off those jeans and winter woollies and slip into as many different styles dresses as possible. But be sure to cover up those pins and pair your look with a cardigan if the Melbourne chills catch you. If you want some on trend dresses (that on trend they are 2 seasons ahead) to add to your work wardrobe, but don’t want to spend a fortune, then why not take a look at George's work dresses - they look great, are fantastic quality and are exceptional value. Plain dresses are great for work as they can be accessorized in many different ways to look like a whole new outfit, which is good news when you have a limited work wardrobe to draw from five days a week. With Georges you can find an extended size range in styles so girls with or without curves are in luck. All shapes sorted!

Some of my favorites online right now are:

Looking to the UK for inspiration of how to mix your current Australian season with its sister season you can follow the following:

If you are a bit of a girly girl, then this is your year. Pastels and frilled hems are very much in this year, and peach and light pink have featured heavily on the catwalk. Unless you work in fashion it is best not to go all out on a trend for work, instead pick a few key pieces from a trend and team them with classic outfits. Pearls, cardigans and hair accessories are all good ways of making the preppy girly look work for professionals. Pair these items with high waisted 40’s style pants or pencil skirts for a stunning office outfit.

The punk trend is big this autumn too, but punk is not usually something you would associate with the corporate world. You can sprinkle a dash of this trend onto your work clothes this season however, as long as you do it with subtlety. Tartan is the best way to incorporate punk into any outfit and there is plenty of it available in the shops this season. Find a piece that is not too garish and team with dark colours. You could also try some leather boots or a jacket with your normal work attire, but this really depends on how laid back your workplace is about clothing policies. Plaid and black are a staple in my casual attire but the same style can apply beautifully with tailored options in dark red or green prints.

Going to work needn't mean looking drab, and the change in weather doesn't mean you have to drastically change your wardrobe just yet.. You can look fab in the office this spring by giving your work wear a little face-lift ready for the new season. Pick your favorite trend and see how you can incorporate it into your daily attire giving you a unique yet professional style.

So what is your cross of season style? Tell me your favorite looks for this spring or even Autumn my readers from the other hemisphere.

More from Rust & Regret

So hopefully by now you are well aware that I'm a huge fan of Australia based jewelry company Rust & Regret. Their strong unisex designs, bold artwork and classic materials have always won my heart and this season even more so.

There is a strong nautical influence in this seasons stock and I'm loving it! The Ropes and Anchor pendant called to me through a sea of skulls, crosses, pharaohs and crests. I adore anchors so this necklace had to be mine. This simple yet stunning design pairs with my casual wardrobe perfectly.

I've also started to wear these long length necklaces wrapped around my neck in a more 'Choker' style this week. It's great to have a necklace that I can wear with both low cut and high neck tops.

What do I love nearly as much as anchors? Animal heads or animal skulls!! The Ram-Snake is a classic silver ram's head that morphs into two snakes at the end of it's horns. This is a design I've not seen before and I'm really digging it. These pendants are super solid, strong and will last you a lifetime

If you liked the Ropes & Anchors necklace you will love the matching ring. I've been wearing this ring every day since shooting and I'm 100% smitten with the design. If you are unsure of fit I'm wearing this style in the smallest size of 19mm and it fits like a dream on my right hand middle finger.

Isn't it just perfect? I love how strong these pieces are and shooting these in black and white makes their unique style and excellent craftsmanship shine through even more so. Many thanks to my awesome friend and photographer Michael Alesich for these rocking images! Also thank you to my amazing man who suggested the first ring shots and let me molest his back.

Studs, spikes and everything nice!

I'm on the hunt! Hunting across the internet for a new hand bag of the spiky or studded variety. I've had so much luck with Everme this year so I'm back for more. Everme are an Australian-based bag and accessories company with a variety for fashion and designer bags.

Here is my current lust list:

A small super funky clutch bag with a cross body chain in a really unique blue shade I'm loving the strong silver studs against this shade of blue. This would be the perfect clutch for any outfit day or night. Styling this shade will be really fun as well, just imagine the options!!

Another crossover clutch but with a much bolder stud in trusty black. The larger shape of this style can accommodate those of us who like to carry a little too much even when using a clutch. I adore the hexagon style studs.

The more classic style bag perfect for any evening dress or even paired with skinny jeans, super high heels and a leather jacket. I'm not usually a huge fan of gold studs but these work so well. The simple placement draws your eye straight to this bag and that funky gold clasp.

Then finally the spiky style! How much does it rock? I need this in my collection ASAP and it would be a perfect style to pair with my leather jacket which has the same studs. From the silver and black combo to the spike detail this needs to be on my body right now.

Which is your favourite?

Curvy Kitten

Curvy Kittens Clothing is a rocking new clothing store found on our favorite form of social media - Facebook! Catering to plus and standard sizes, this rocking Facebook store is a great source of all my favorite brands and rockabilly/alternative styles.

Now this webstore is a little different as they have both in stock items and 'order' items which are bulk orders made from different brands. Follow their page on Facebook and you'll be updated with the dates to order, stock available and much more awesome information.

Now with casual awesome goodies for summer in mind, I went straight to the Sourpuss section of their page and picked my 3 favorite must-haves. The sailor skirt is available up to size 2xl and I'm wearing this style in an XL. This is the go-to mini for summer. It's worn high at the waist and shows the perfect amount of skin.

Skirt detail

I've paired this with the white Vavavoom top which you can see peaking through a little in the leather jacket shots above. I've added a close-up below as well so you can see the style better. This top is needed in every single print and colour. So flattering on the chest!

This top will be used in many shoots to come no doubt!

Then the best bag ever!!! This is my new overnight bag and I am totally smitten with this black and beige baby. It's the right size for either carry-on or an overnight trip and you can pair this with any outfit. So cute!

With brands like Hell Bunny, Sourpuss, Miss Candyfloss, Jessica Louise, Retro Princess and Miss Fortune, you'll be able to pick up just what you need!

Why spend all that money on postage when you can order through Curvy Kittens, save on hefty shipping and get some brilliant items.
