The time has come for another full blown, action packed and photo filled Sourpuss review! I can't get enough of this clothing brand and after years of wearing their rocking designs I have found a few items that I can honestly say I'm addicted to. But that's enough chit chat lets get down to the nitty gritty and review!

Now this set is mainly based around my love for anything cowgirl related but I've added a few of my other favourites currently found online. Now I've searched all over the website for links to these items but some are missing and others are waiting on new stock. For any further information please contact Sourpuss directly on their Facebook Fan Page. Many other online websites stock Sourpuss so you can find these dresses on online shops and ebay just by searching the name. Never fear my lovelies you will find them!

Sourpuss Anchor Western dress in blue/black  - $50 (currently sold on on SP website)

I reviewed the first style of this dress in a previous post - Whiskey Cowgirl. Once I tried the original giddy up style on I knew this was my perfect casual/daytime dress. So when a sneaky photo was released on the Sourpuss instagram in both the anchor and sparrow print I knew they had to be mine. The Western style dress is a core item in my wardrobe. The soft and stretchy fabric means I can wear it all day and feel completely comfortable. The fabric also works in the cooler months with lots of layers and thick tights.

I wear this style in an XL and I fit it to be a perfect fit as the fabric is very stretchy. The check print and white details on this dress is what really won me over. The western motif with the additio of anchors is perfect. The dark blue shade also works perfectly with my belt collection and pairs wonderfully with black or red cardigan.s

No wonder this style is sold out on Sourpuss's website! It's one of those dresses every rockabilly/pinup lover needs.

Sourpuss Sparrow Western Dress - $50 (awaiting stock)

I love this style that much I needed it in the sparrow motif as well! This style is a little bit stretchier that the blue but still fits perfectly as you can see. The embroidered sparrows on the upper bust, red buttons and piping makes this dress really stand out. I also adore the soft gingham fabric as it's one of my all time favorite prints.

There is also the extra added feature of pockets on each hip. It's always such an awesome surprise to find a pair of pocked in a full skirted garment.

 Q

Sourpuss Hellbilly Black Dress - $59 (sold out)

A similar shape to the Western dress featured above but in a cotton/spandex fabric. With a vintage inspired bandana print this dress is now my second favorite dress style from Sourpuss. The fit on this garment is a little different as the fabric has only 5% spandex so I suggest you should size up. I usually wear an XL in this brand but for this I had to size up to the XXL.

It has some of the same features as the other western styles above such as piping, a collar and button detailing. I paired this dress with my new favourite cardigan from Heart of Haute. This is my new go to cardigan as it pairs perfectly with every dress in my wardrobe. With the Melbourne chill finally hitting us I need as many layers as possible and this is a super cute way of adding extra warmth to my summer style dresses.

While this style may be sold out online there is still heaps of stock left in the red versions as shown bellow.

After searching for the version I've reviewed I'm actually loving the red print more and will be adding it to my lust list. I usually play it safe with black and white but the red print seems to put so much more.

Now what better to pair my western dresses with than an amazing pair of vintage cowboy boots from Honey Blossom Studio. Honey Blossom is my one stop shop for all cowboy boots and the only online store I trust for true vintage styles in great condition.

With a huge selection of vintage leather cowboy boots in all shapes, sizes and colours you will find the boots of your dreams via this ETSY store. Now I featured my first pair from Honey Blossom last year and since then I've added 2 pairs to my collection. These are by far my favorite as I love the bold white stitching on the black leather and the arrow like shape at the top.

It took me a while to find the perfect fit for vintage boots but after a lot of trail and error and with stores like Honey Blossom Studio I'm 100% confident in my cowboy boots size. I wear a 10AU and have a rather normal width foot. I purchase most of my boots in a 8.5D Mens and this fits me perfectly. I tend to purchase the more narrow or pointed as it seems to fit me the best. Be sure when purchasing vintage boots to read all measurements and compare these with your own foot. I've purchased wide width mens before and they swam on me so if you have a normal foot steer clear of any shoe with 'wide' in the title.

Stop the presses! I've finally found the best combination of western and pencil skirt and I'm in love. This curve hugging pencil skirt is by the hottest skirt I've worn in years. The super stretchy nylon sits on my curves perfectly and the waist band cinches me in without any effort. For even more of an hourglass effect I will pair this skirt with a thick waist belt and add an extra bit of vavavoom to the outfit.

The white western details on the front of the skirt have made this great fitting pencil skirt into a brilliant western pinup style. I can't wait to style this with other tops, jackets and shoes.

I'm wearing the Hootenanny skirt in a size XL and it's almost like it was made for me. You can also purchase a navy and red version of this via the Sourpuss website. I think I need both in my wardrobe for next summer.

Then finally we have my two favourite accessories currently available in the Sourpuss range.

Every pinup needs a varied scarf collection and after collecting many plain colours I've started to add a few prints int the mix. The Rosie is a bright blue scarf that can be used to tie around your neck or in your hair for vintage up do's. I just love the bright pop of colour it adds to my outfit and the blue will really work with my dark red locks.

After falling for the Gin Decanter necklace I had to add the Rum version to my collection. Being a Sailor Jerry fan I thought it was only fair to add my love for Rum to my accessory stash. This vintage style decanter tag is stunning and I always draw a lot of attention when I wear it. I really do adore all of Sourpuss's accessories, so much to choose from and heaps of brilliant items to wear every day.

Many thanks to Michael Alesich for snapping these rocking shots of me in one of my favorite locations. Dead or alive our local sunflower field is awesome to capture on camera.

Vanity Project - Made by Limb

I have found the MOST amazing, brilliantly crafted and stunningly printed dresses on earth, if not the universe! My lovely readers I must introduce you to Vanity Project - Made by Limb.

A UK clothing brand based in Woodend Mill, a converted cotton mill in Greater Manchester, nestling at the edge of the Pennine Hills where its mostly sunny and hardly ever rains - Can I live there please? Creating vintage inspired dresses with the modern woman's shape in mind.

Now this is a image heavy post so please keep looking and reading! All images were taken by my main girl for all things outdoor, natural and stunning - Katherine Davis Photography in Bendigo, Victoria. She is an amazing photographer that specializes in Weddings so if you are looking book here asap!

This super flattering, perfectly constructed and stunning dress has me smitten. With a faux wrap bust, full pleated skirt, 3/4 sleeves and waist tie this dress has everything I look for in a garment.

The design nips me in at the waist, shows off a great amount for my bust but yet not too much. The full shirt and fitted waist means I get the full hour glass figure I love so very much.

Rainbows trying to sneak into my shot!

I'm wearing the Day Dress in a size XL which is equivalent to a UK16 and the fit is spot on for my measurements. Even my rather large chest fits in the very fitted wrap style bust line. This garment is made from 100% cotton so there is not much give to the fabric but if you follow the size chart you will get the right fit.

As you know I'm a little cowboy/cowgirl theme crazy these days so the fabric was what initially drew me in. Red cowgirl pinup print not what you are after? Well there is a blue version and a black version of this exact print! Western not your cup of tea? Not to worry as this dress is available in a total of 29 fabric variations!!!! So there will be one that is just right for you.

Vanity Project is not limited to this one style of dress either. You can find 10 other vintage inspired styles on their website with many different print variations. So many choices, so many prints! You will feel like a kid in a candy store.

I adore this dress not only for the print but the fit is just perfect for my figure. I want another 2 or 3 different fabric versions of this exact dress to add to my collection. I also adore and want a few versions of the Retro Frock which is a super cute sleeveless number.

These dresses will last your for many, many years and will be a brilliant investment. So why not add your favourite print and favourite style to your wardrobe right now. I will be! I can't get enough of Limb!!!

Sorry for the photo overload but as you can see this dress looks amazing shot in trees. I've even given you guys a smiling shot of me which is really rare but I loved it! I'm laughing at my fiancee Jay as he is posing like me off camera. He was an amazing wardrobe stylist for this and many other shoots.

For more updates on styles, new prints or just to get in contact regarding sizing you can 'like' Vanity Project by Limb on facebook. Such a wonderfully, friendly and helpful company. If you invest in a dress from Vanity Project you will never, ever regret it.

Whiskey Cowgirl

Some new styles have landed at sourpuss and I've taken my favorites out for a test drive/shoot! In this set I've chosen some brilliant items that are perfect for the surprise summer weather Melbourne has sprung on us. With the fantastic prices you'll be able to update your wardrobe for next to nothing!

If you know me then you'll know my favorite separate of 2012 is the Vavavoom Top. This style fits your bust and body like no other! I'm slowly collecting all the colour ways available and now Sourpuss have released the VavaVoom Dress!

True to the style of the original top the Vavavoom dress is brilliant. I'm wearing the XL and I could honestly get away with a size down as it's that stretchy! This style can be worn as I've shown it here with any waist belt, cute cardigans to cover up on the chillier spring nights and layered like crazy in the colder months.

I've also found that this dress works as a slip for some of my other dresses that are a tiny bit too short, thanks to my bust and bum - always the way! It can extend the length of any dress in a really funky way and I've been wearing this style in both ways since shooting these images.

I also choose two of the new boozy related accessories to go with each dress. For this style :

Sourpuss Gin Decanter Necklace - $18.00

Sorry for the lack of close up but the shot did not turn out!

Sourpuss Giddy Up Western Dress

My body and this dress were meant to be. I adore all things western and as soon as this dress popped up online I new that I needed to wear it at least twice a week. A gorgeous grey tone check and red western accents make this dress absolutely perfect!! I'm wearing the size XL and it fits me like a glove. I've been wearing  the bust both buttoned up and unbuttoned as it works either way.

The fabric is a rayon and spandex mix and as you can see it stuck to my tights a little while shooting. This is just static and was gone after the first wash. I've been pairing this with all of my cowboy boots and cute little red cardigans. I've also heard that this style is set to come out in Red!

I can't seem to find this online the Sourpuss store anymore so I've hunted the internet to find you guys a variety of stores to purchase this from.

Tragic Beautiful in stock for $58.95
Unique Vintage in stock for $58.00
Rockabilly Girlz in stock for $53.00
Last Gang Emporium in stock for £44.95
Amazon in stock for $52.99

I paired this western dress with the the brilliant Whiskey necklace.

Just like all my other styles this is perfect! I know most larger bust girls shy away from stripes but I've chosen to say to hell with that and embrace it. I'm wearing this in a Large and this is my personal preference for this style top. The fit is phenomenal and I mainly wear these tops with high waist skirt or I let them peak through the bust and bottom of my Dita Cardigans. For the stripe I love pairing this style with  a solid black high waist option as the print works better for my body shape to be broken up in such a way.

Such a brilliant top! I hope for Sourpuss release many different options of both this and the dress version for many years to come.
