Red, Hot and Swinging

Back in May I introduced to you to the brilliant Australian based Betty Le Bonbon and her amazing creations. The queen of the circle skirt, making swing styles for girls with amazing curves! You can read my previous post here and see my first review of the cotton drill skirts.

While watching the Betty Le Bonbon Facebook like a hawk I've fallen in love again and again for all the amazing prints that pop up in my feed. When I saw the silk taffeta I instantly adored the red with black polka dots and it had to be mine!

Red Custom Silk Taffeta Polka-dot Swing Skirt - $80.00
Wheels and Dollbaby Dita Cardigan - $190.00 (sold out)

When I received this skirt the red was a perfect match for my Dita Cardigan from Wheels and Dollbaby so I instantly had this outfit in mind. I've recently lost a few kilo's so the waist is a tiny bit big (I ordered a 33 inch waist) but this is easily fixed with one of my favorite waist belts.

This skirt is a shorter style then my cotton drill skirt and I actually prefer this length so much more. It's the perfect length for all of my petticoats and shows off just the right amount of leg. The fabric does sit on your bare legs a little (on a windy day this was oh so fun) but this is easily fixed with a petticoat.

A Betty Le Bonbon circle skirt is a must have for any pinup wardrobe. I is a go to item that you will wear like crazy, trust me.

I am now 100% a swing skirt addict. I'm loving the styling options be it casual or dressy. I can't wait to get my hands on all the new prints on their way. From comic book inspired prints to food, cowgirls and fruit! I need one of each! I will be sure to post an update with all the new fabrics when they arrive!

Betty Le Bonbon have also started creating adorable peter pan collars and have a variety of cute accessories to complete your outfit.

Many thanks to my brilliant photographer Nic Doncon who was an absolute star and helped me out with these shots and two more posts worth! You can find more of his work via Model Mayhem. Nic was an absolute pleasure to work with and I just adore what we created together. Can't wait to work with you again!
