The Lady Is A Vamp

Unless you've been living under a pinup-less fashion rock you would know of the Deadly Dames Vamp style dress and top and how amazing they are for all shapes and sizes. The Vamp was my second purchase from the Deadly Dames line and ever since the first wear I've been addicted to the fit, shape, colours and prints. 

Vamp Dress in Baton Rouge Floral- $120.00

While I was in love with the both the red and black version of the Vamp I fell even harder for this style when the previews of dress, top and matching skirt were released. I'm usually not a fan of pink in any way but the stunning floral pattern on the Baton Rouge floral won me over instantly.A deep fuchsia like pink with blue and green mixed within. A great shade for all skin and hair colours! This dress comes with a matching pink belt to cinch in your waist and I can't wait to pair the belt with other dresses and skirts in my collection. 

I wear each vamp in a size XL and I've found the fit to be 100% perfect. If at first you find the bust not fitting correctly be sure to adjust the straps like you would your own bra. I can wear this style with or without a bra and still be fully supported. These images were shot by Robin Elk Photography over the weekend.

Now when I saw this range previewed I could not choose between all 3 floral and to be honest I wanted them all! But I chose to purchase one dress and one skirt/vamp top combo so I could have 3 options for outfits. The Cream Floral is by far my favourite and I love the pale floral print paired with my hair colour and fair skin. These two items can be worn as a set or on either owned paired with pink, green or black tops and accessories. 

The skirt in the cream floral is an absolute dream to wear. The perfect amount of stretch and firm tightness so it hugs your hips and show's off your curvy waist. The best feature of this skirt has to be the belt loops and contrasting belt. I'm a sucker for anything with belt loops and can't get enough of this design. 

This skirt is currently sold out but you can still purchase the top and the cream rose vamp dress! Pink and cream not your colours? Well there is one more print available that might appeal to the extra vampy pinup lovers. The Black Floral Print is a darker version of this floral print, focusing on blacks, greens and pink. I added my leather biker jacket to this outfit to bring a little more rock and roll to the look and I love the combination of floral and leather.

The red polka dot version was my first vamp and together with Jaimie Nicole we photographed it in one of Melbourne's Tiki bars. This was THE dress that started the addiction in 20111 and I've never parted with it. Pairing this with cardigan, bolero's and lace moto jackets this has been worn to death but I treasure it like crazy. I also own the Black version of this dress but oddly enough I've never shot it!

After having such success  I purchased two of the Vamp Tops and loved them just as much as the dress. Starting with the red and black version's they are the best shape for curvy hour glass figures and are amazing on a GG bust. They are long enough to be worn with skirts and jeans but can be tucked into high waisted style bottoms with ease. I've honestly never felt more confident and sexy then when I'm wearing my vamps. The first image was shot by Julz Photography and the second was part of my Plus Model Magazine editorial a few years ago by Jaimie Nicole. 

Now in my collection I have 3 vamp dresses and 4 tops! I've purchased a few others over the years but found that some colours did not suit my skin tone and that zebra though super cute was not really me. I can't wait to see what the future has in store for my favourite boobie maximizing style and what stunning patters and colour ways are going to be introduced. I'm crossing my fingers and toes for an emerald green and royal blue as the Doris Tops cam out in these shades mid last year. 

A Deadly Dame in Plus Model Magazine

I just got back some of my own choices from the shoot I did for Pinup Girl Clothing and Deadly Dames for Plus Model Magazine and I had to show you guys.

As you may know Pinup Girl Clothing is my favorite brand so I was so glad I could work with them and Plus Model Magazine on this editorial.

It was an absolute pleasure to worth with Jaimie Nicole Photography and EBONY MAIZE makeup artistry. These women are so extremely talented and creative, working with them was a dream!  

Now as a curvy girl I always head to Pinup Girl Clothing for my clothing as Laura and Micheline design styles that feel like they were made for me.

Micheline Pitt's range Deadly Dames is my stand out favorite, each season she blows me away with her brilliant creations.

Like every item I own from PUG this dress fits like a dream! I'm wearing the Je T'Adore dress in an XL and it form fitting and really hugs your curves. The mix of black lace, velvet bows and this stunning blue floral print make this dress stand out in such a perfect way. This is fully lined and so yummy!

This dress is a tight fit with not all that much give in the fabric so be sure to order very close to your measurements. Token booty shot added so you can see the print on an ample behind.

I never thought this style would suit me but I let Micheline pick the styles and the colours for this editorial and I have to say I'm very impresses. This dress makes you feel like an absolute pinup bombshell. The reproduction style of the dress originally worn by Marilyn Monroe hugs you in all the right places. The style is so flattering for curvy shapes due to the fitted silhouette, and a sexy gathered detail down the center front of the dress which hides any tummy imperfections. 

The front slit just makes this dress a little more sexy and the colour! Oh the colour! I've not started to purchase many more baby blue items because of this dress. The front tie does show some skin so be wary of this when you are choosing your bra. I think could actually size down in this fabric as its so stretchy I would love to get this in the rust, darker blue or the red.

I was unsure what shoes would work with this so I opted for Luichiny Sav Vee Wedges in Beige and I think they suit this perfectly. The wedge though tall is so comfortable and due to the nude shade they elongate your legs.

Deadly Dames Beauté Hand Mirror Pendant - $36.00US

The Vamp Dress is my addition. It is the best designs ever created for girls with large chests but its hands down my favorite style available at Pinup Girl Clothing. I'm that addicted to this cut that I own this dress in black, zebra print and red polka dot. I also just purchased the black, red polka dot and pale blue tops in this style. Next on my wishlist is the newly released peach vamp and the mint which is coming soon.

Perfectly paired with the Deadly Dames Beauté Hand Mirror Pendant! This is actually on a longer chain but I shortened it. I usually have issues with loosing longer pendants in my cleavage but its easy to shorten most chains yourself. Usually gold is not really an option for me but I love how this pink gold shade works with my hair. 

This necklace features a real oval mirror on one side and the words "for looks that kill" on the other.

Yet another colour I would have never chosen for myself but I'm so happy Micheline picked it! This Mauve is just as amazing in reality as it is in photos. 

The Mon Cheri is made from delicious Shakira satin. With a fully seamed bust and front waist have a special fusing for structure and support, and the dress is fully lined. The pleated hips create a more exaggerated hourglass shape which as you can see does not make a curvy girl look any bigger. It just compliments the curves even more. The belt is so soft and lovely I've been wearing it more than my other PUG belts. I'm wearing this and all other items in the XL.

This dress is designed to be form fitting and and the skirt to be worn tight to the body so if you are between sizes order up and get this tailored for a perfect fit. The one thing I suggest is don't attempt to ever pull this over your hips. Due to the tight fit you have to step in and out of this garment if you don't you could rip the back seem.

Finally we paired this soft tone with another of the pink gold plated items from Eldorado Club. This piece is so sweet and feminine and my favorite feature is the tiny champagne glass charm that dangles down your back.

 


 

Pin Me Up

If you can't tell already one of my biggest addictions is Pinup Girl Clothing. With impeccable tailoring, beautiful silhouettes and styles fit for any retro vixen what is not to love! I may not dress like a pinup every day of the week but when I do this is the only brand I buy!

So armed with some new season stock and core favorites Jaimie Nicole Photography and I headed down to The Tiki Lounge & Bar in Melbourne to create some amazing images to add to this review. This location and the clothing combined are a match made in heaven! All the items I'm wearing are a size XL.

The Gia Top - $42US and Audrey Skirt - $78US

The Gia Top like the amazing Pinup model it was named after is red HOT! I'm wear the Gia in Burgundy. It is a perfect fit, soft and stretchy with lots off room to accommodate my E/DD chest but this would also look perfect with a smaller chest. The long sleeve is a perfect length for the weather in Melbourne right now and this top is so versatile you can wear it with anything from high waist skirts to you favorite pair of jeans.

The Deep Burgandy shade divine, this top also comes in Black, Red, Flesh Tone, Teal and White.

The Audrey Skirt - Absolute perfection in skirt form! This fits my waist/lower rib cage snuggly and is a perfect length just above my knees. It naturally skims over the the hips and the pleats are fantastic. This skirt skims over your hips and the high waist is really sliming. Finished off with a black bow in the same cotton fabric! I will wear this all year round, with stockings, boots and fitted shirts in winter and less in the summer. This skirt also comes in Pink!

My shoes are from T.U.K .- $120US. Now these ruby red babies from the Platinum Collection are not for the faint hearted. I'm still teaching myself to walk in them. The wedge/heel is really unique and the embroidering and corset heel really make these shoes attract attention.

The Doris Skirt Peacock Print - $76US

I've actually be hunting for full A-line skirt for the last year but non have come close to this design. The Doris Skirt is a high waisted full swing style skirt in a peacock print (also available in black) for a closer look at the pattern view product shots on the website. I then paired with my Doris Top - $52US but the Gia Top in black would also look amazing with it. Now i'm wearing this without a petticoat and it drapes beautifully but if you want a more pronounced shape be sure to wear one under in a complimenting colour to give a real swing look.

Retro Pencil Skirt -$48US

Finally I have found my perfect pencil skirt! I've tried many but nothing comes close to the fabric, cut and length of this style. I only have one issue - my waist seems to be a little small for this XL so I am taking it to the tailor to make it even more perfect. This pencil skirt is the core item every woman needs in her wardrobe. You can dress it up or down, wear it all year round and in black its so very versatile. Made from a cotton spandex blend it will hug your curves perfectly with a little stretch to the fabric.

I'm wear the now discontinued Natalie top in Leopard, this top does not exist any more sadly. But I have heard that they will be bringing out a new version of this design with some slight changes. My shoes are Bordello by Pleaser kindly lent to me by my photographer.

Deadly Dames Vamp Dress - $98US

I took a gamble on this dress I was not sure about the colour with my red hair or how I'd look in a polka dot print but as you can see it works! This dress was designed to hug your curves and really show them off. I'm wearing the black belt that came with the Doris Skirt to shape my waist more so and a bolero borrowed from my photographer. Micheline Pitt has the most amazing taste and design skills, Deadly Dames is my favorite of all the lines on the website.

Made of a non stretch cotton sateen it fist like a glove. The sculpted bust and fully adjustable straps does wonders for your chest. This also allows you to customize the dress to fit your bust size better. I really like how this fits my body, I'm considering buying one more of this style but I'm not sure if I should get the Vamp in Black, Tiger or Zebra print.
