Artesands - Swimwear for Curves

As the weather warms up it's time to start shopping for the best swimwear to suit my curves and ample bust! Over the next few weeks I'll be reviewing and sharing my absolute favourite swimwear options from both Australian based stores and a few international websites.

While I love my shape, I find that most bikinis don't tend to suit my bust so I'll mainly be focusing on one-piece swimsuits. If you have discovered an amazing super flattering bikini that might suit me please send me a link as I'd love to try it!

This year I've discovered Artesands via Instagram as I love the models they use and their very realistic portrait of plus size women, it's such a breath of fresh air to stumble across a company like this.

Artesands is a brand that is 110% behind the design of perfectly fitting swimsuits for your curves. Fitted on ‘true to size’ curvy women, not fashion models, you will notice this difference when you see different shaped, curvy women trying on our styles. We are the brand that is ahead of the curve when it comes to loving your curves!

With this focus and such a strong design team behind the brand they really do create amazing swimwear.

From the moment I tried this suit on my mind was blown. Never did I think it was possible to get this much epic boob lift and shape in a swimsuit.

So what are the details :

  • Suitable for cup sizes D/DD
  • Internal foam cups and underwires for bust support
  • Gathering through the waist
  • Full body powermesh lining for body contouring and shape forming
  • Adjustable, wide shoulder straps for extra comfort and support
  • Luxurious soft touch, high stretch swim fabric
  • Back clip, front peephole with faux knot styling

  •

Now I'm a 36H or 36HH and I have no fit issues at all with this piece so don't worry if you are larger that an DD. The gathered waist and lining holds you in and really makes those curves pop and the addition of the peephole creates even more shape.

I'm wearing a size 18 in both pieces featured in this post and they are super comfortable, soft yet firm enough to make you feel fantastic and held in. The fabric is comfortable and as their is not halter neck and a good sized strap you don't have to worry about your shoulders aching - my biggest swimwear issue it seems.

The comfort of this fabric is out of this world and I think I'll be using this piece both for swimming and as a bodysuit during the summer. I'm obsessed with this piece and need it in every colour and print!

Next is a more traditional style one piece but with a little twist feature at the bust. The Rococo Botticelli one-piece features :

  • Multifit cups – suitable for sizes C-DD
  • Wide neckline
  • Internal full shelf bra with supportive soft foam cups and underbust band
  • Front twist detail at bust
  • Side rouched panels and gathering through the waist
  • Full body powermesh lining for body contouring and shape forming
  • Adjustable, wide shoulder straps for extra comfort and support
  • Luxurious soft touch, high stretch swim fabric

  •

What's different about this suit from the previous style? Well other than the wider neckline, lack of peephole and twist detail the bust fit is slightly more relaxed. The shelf style bra and foam cups add lift and support but not that epic boobie height of the previous piece.

So between the two it's all about your personal boobie support and lift comfort level and I'm very much all about the Cezanne suit as it just seems more like my style and vibe. The polka dots on both fabrics are super cute and very pinup so I can't wait to create more looks with each of these suits over
    the summer.

Keep an eye out for more swimwear reviews over the next few weeks!

    1. Thanks so much for this review, I was looking for a review of the Cezanne suit to see how it held up on a larger bust such as my own before buying, I'm going to get it now :). They both look fabulous on you but I agree I love the style of the Cezanne the best :).
