Death Moth

Being an horror fiend, I have always admired the Death Moth from the cover of Silence of the Lambs to the extent of planning a tattoo and photo shoot with the iconic imagery included. So when Sourpuss released their new skater dress and cardigan I instantly needed them both in my life.

If you are in the market for the best fitting long sleeve cardigan look no further than Sourpuss. Over the last 5 years my Sourpuss cardie collection has grown and I can't get enough of their embroidered pieces. Made from a super stretchy and soft cotton these cardigans pair with everything and can be layered over skater dresses or worn on their own tucked into high waisted skirts and pants.

The bold Death Moth patch on each side of this cardigan is stunning. Bright, intricate and perfectly created and the red jewel buttons add an extra pop of colour. I'm wearing an XL and it fits like a dream with enough room to button up over my bustline. As I'm a huge fan of more cropped styles I have started wearing all of my cardigans tied in a small bow right at the small of my waist. This really emphasizes my curves and I love the look.

When I discovered the new print I had to snap up anything that was available in the range so I paired the cardigan with the matching skater dress and I love the result! The print works so well with the black cardigan and even though it's a little lighter in colour it really pairs wonderfully. I'm absolutely smitten with this vibrant print and I really home more and more styles will be released with featuring it.

I'm wearing the skater dress in a size XL and it's a perfect fit. With a mini style length, cap sleeve and fitted skater style at the bust and waist this is the perfect casual everyday dress. While I love this dress I really wish it came with 3/4 sleeves as I would live in it all year round but the cardigan helps with this.

LUCHINY EYE DOLL PLATFORMS - SOLD OUT
This season I've added another Deadly Deville purse to my collection! I've fallen hard for this style and this is my third as it's just the most perfect hand bag. A perfect size without being too large, jam packed with pockets, zips and all the little features you need. This season the Deadly Deville has been released in a nautical anchor print but instead of navy and white this is a black/white version and it is perfect. As I don't tend to wear navy often I love how the black pairs with everything in my wardrobe and I take this to work daily.
It's safe to say that every version of this purse that is released will be mine. I currently have the houndstooth, black and beige and now this nautical version and they rock!
Next month I will hopefully get my hands on even more new styles as I'm traveling to the US for a month and I need lots of new casual goodies for my trip. So watch out for another review and lots of photos when I'm abroad.
Many thanks to Michael Alesich for snapping these images for me and I can't wait to create more with you this year.

Ezibuy - Review and Giveaway! (CLOSED)

If you are Australian based you will know the brand Ezibuy very well and may have ordered from their awesome website. I actually stumbled acrossed their store a few years ago when I was dressing corporate for work and I fell hard for their button up shirts as they actually fit me!

Well fast forward to 2016 and I'm smitten all over again with their amazing skinny jeans and the merino blend crew neck tops!

I'm forever hunting for the best high waisted super skinny jeans for every day wear and my search has finally stopped now that I own the Lean Jean!! This is by far the most comfortable and flattering pair of jeans I've ever worn and I have tried each and every pair I can get my hands on and round toosh into.

Made from super stretchy rayon/cotton/polyester/elastane they fit like a dream, stretch a little but hold their shape. They are a proper high waist which tops just above your belly button and this helps slim over the waist and flatter your curves. I'm wearing a size 16 and after snapping these photos I went straight back and ordered another pair in black and one in indigo - I want to live in them!! They are perfect for my height and  great for my waist to hip measurement. I've also purchased the Emerge Stretch Shaping Jean this past week and I'm loving them just as much as they have a secret slimming panel! These are both priced at $20.00 so I had to snap up one of every colour!

I'm usually one to avoid high necklines but this season I'm loving a crew neck and I'm crazy for this Merino wool striped top from Emerge. With long sleeves, a contrasting neckline and curved hem it really flatters my figure without making me feel too wide as most striped tops do. The Merino blend is soft and perfect for winter. I've officially made this my favourite work outfit so I'll be needing to pick up the other colours available in red, black and charcoal. This style also looks great with swing and pencil skirts as well as high waisted shorts. I wear this crew neck in a size a XL and it's roomy but really comfortable and I don't think I'd want it any tighter.

Now both myself here at Curves To Kill and Ezibuy wanted to give one of my readers a little treat. I have in my hands a Ezibuy Voucher for $50 to give to one of my awesome readers! So you can pick up a pair or two of these brilliant jeans or whatever takes your fancy.

Adore Pinup Issue 13

WARNING! This is one image packed post! Full of winter pinup styling, amazing garments and snow.

Issue #13 of Adore Pinup has just been released and I'm so excited to show you the images from my latest article based around winter styling for pinups. I live for winter and adore all accessories that come with this chilly weather and I featured some of my absolute favourites in this months issue!

But before I start on what will be my biggest review in a while I have to say a huge Thank You to Damien Bowerman for working with me on this shoot. Shooting together is an absolute breeze and I love what we created for this theme. If you can't get to the snow bring the snow to the studio!

Finally I have my hands on the Trixie swing dress and it's more amazing that I hoped! I fell hard for the Trixie Wiggle last year and once I found the red (and teal as you will see) swing style of this dress I had to get it. An amazing super stretchy curve hugging, boobie boosting, amazing full skirted dress in bright red. If you have curves like me or are an hourglass shape this dress is MADE for you as it hugs you in all of the right places, has a super flattering 3/4 length sleeve and hits just bellow the knee for the perfect length.

I wear the Trixie Doll dress in a size 16 and the fit is perfect. The super stretchy fabric make it super comfortable to wear while still holding you in tight. The bust line is also perfect for girls with larger chests who aren't afraid to show them off!

I paired this bright dress with my favourite accessories : a red beret, red gloves then a black belt, petticoat and Pleaser heeled boots. As you will notice throughout this post I've paired each outfit with these boots (they are a winter staple) and the most amazing collection of gloves!

So excuse me for a moment while I gush over the best gloves on the planet. I've admitted in the past that I have an addiction to leather gloves and I'm completely at ease with this. But recently I found some of the most amazing pinup perfect styles from an Australian based company named Have To Have. I've been adding to my collection slowly each season but I've never seen so many perfect retro inspired designs available in one place.

With polka dots in red and black, leopard print cuffs, quilting, zips, bows and more they have a pair of gloves to suit every outfit. Now how do you know your size? Well I cross referenced all of my existing pairs and went for a medium. I've always know I have a medium sized hand and they fit perfect. The leather is soft and they mold to your hands perfectly the first time you slip your hands in.

Oh my gosh I'm wearing a mod style winter coat and loving it! The B & B Mariella Checked coat is the softest, cutest and I have to say warmest coat in my collection. It feels like I'm all tucked up in bed yet It's a super cute shirt style coat with bold buttons, a check print and faux fur cuffs and collar.  This is a super roomy fit and while I sized up (size 18) in order to give lots of roomy for buttoning this up over my chest I think I would like a 16 more as I'd not wear this buttoned up but with cute dresses and jeans all winter - plus layers, lots and lots of layers.

The Mariella is sold out sadly in most sizes but you can find it in green, black, blue and red check print and being that it's so roomy you can size down! I don't think I've ever really worn a pale or white coat before but there is something magical and very snow themed about this outfit and I'm loving it. When paired with red accessories the perfect pop of colour is provided.

While accessories are one of my main loves for winter styling I also have a huge obsession with autumn/winter prints. From dark florals to winter woodland styles and the always amazing plaid. Each year I go nuts for this print and I'm really loving blue and green tartans for 2016. There is something so office chic yet super sexy about this stunning wiggle skirt from hell bunny and this is a key piece for this season.

I'm wearing the Jodie skirt in a 2XL but the fit is a little roomy at the waist band. There is a little stretch in the garment so I would be easily able to get away with the XL in this style. I think it's also safe to say that I'll happily be hunting down each and every colour or print of the Jodie skirt as it's such a brilliant fit. Paired with the amazing Doris Top from Pinup Girl Clothing this outfit is classic yet sexy and makes me feel amazing. I also love how perfectly the leopard print works with the dark plaid, who would have thought these two would rock so much together. Such a classic combination of retro styles and I can't wait to pair these gloves with even more outfits.

Collectif  Travel Bag in Red - Sold Out

Clearly we need to talk about the most amazing pair of boots in my collection. I've been lusting after the perfect pair of lace up platforms for a while now and I found these stunning Pleaser faux leather boots via Shoe Me Gorgeous! I've become a huge fan once again of the Pleaser Delight heel and platform height and these are super high yet lightweight and comfortable. They lace up and have a zip on the inner lower leg and will fit both thin and curvier calves. I'm wearing my usual size 10 and they are a perfect fit. They will be my go to super high heel this winter so expect to see many more shoot with these snuck in.

Then to this retrotastic travel bag from Collectif is a deep almost blood red. This travel case is huge and currently holds every single accessory in my home. It's perfect for travelling as it's a great size for carry on luggage. It's great to have some more true vintage looking pieces in my collection and this might be sold out in this specific colour but you can get a green or red plaid version which is currently on sale!

I've had many trench coats in my lifetime but I've never had one quite like the Bacall. She is silky soft, hugs me in all of the right places and fits like a dream. A perfect length and roomy enough to layer your winter tops beneath. I'm wearing this style in XL and it's spot on for my measurements.

The fabric is lightweight yet still keeps you warm but if you are looking for a more thick and warming coat the look bellow. I've been wearing this out constantly as it's perfect for work or play. It looks amazing with my work wardrobe and makes the most casual of outfits a little more sophisticated.

If you are looking to button this up fully and you have a large chest I recommend you size up but I love the fit at the waist with the XL and I'm always fond of showing a little cleavage. The pop of leopard print on the cuff of my Have To Have gloves really completes this look.

My favourite print is back in skirt form!!!! I featured the adorable Hermeline Dress a few posts back and now I'm very happy to introduce you to the 50's skirt in the same print. Honestly I can't get enough fabric and this 50's swing style skirt has me smitten. With flattering pleats, belt loops and just the right amount of length this skirt slims my waist and compliments my hourglass shape.

I'm wearing the XL and the waist is perfect. So other than button up blouses or restricted top on dresses I will be sticking to the XL from now on in all Hell Bunny styles. I paired this with all black plus a little pop of polka dot print and I love how it's the main focus. The print is full of adorable woodlands wildlife and it needs to pop always. These gloves work so well with the animal print and I love the patterns mixed! I always gravitate towards polka dot prints so both these and the red pair of gloves have to be my stand out favourites.

I'm a sucker for faux fur collars and cuffs and the Rock Noir Coat is everything I've ever dreamed a coat could be. The thick fabric, fur accents, bold buttons and that almost structured waist make this the your curves look absolutely amazing. All of my favourite coats seem to be the hell bunny fur clad and this one is now number one! Why? It's all in the deepest darkest forest green fur. This colour is magical and for a redhead it's the perfect shade to suit my dark red locks.

I'm wearing this style in and XL and the fit is very firm but still comfortable and I love how fitted it is at the bust and waist. I can wear one layer beneath this but that's perfect as I tend to wear coats like this out in the evening and with all the heated venues it's great for braving the winter chill in style.

Gothic Noir Pinup in the most perfect furry form and so easy to style. I paired this coat with my amazing red polka dot gloves and the vibrant red leather looks amazing against the dark green fur. This glove is divine and I really hope Have to Have create more colour ways in the future in this style as I'd love a purple, green or even blue pair!

Now that winter has finally hit us here in Australia all of these coats and glove combinations will be worn constantly and I can't wait to create even more brilliant winter pinup style outfits.

You know you love the cut of a dress when you pick it up in two colours but with the Trixie it's impossible not to collect the entire collection. I missed the release on Collectif clothing's website but I found the stunning dark teal shade via Unique Vintage. While red is a great shade for my colouring there is just something about pairing red hair and teal and I love how I've accessorized this outfit.

Featuring a black beret and those adorable black and white polka dot leather gloves this is such a stunning outfit. I also wanted to show the difference of the swing style bottom without a petticoat. I shot the red with a full and fluffy black petticoat but for this I actually love the more natural fall of the fabric. Each way looks great but I think I'll stick to no petticoat for this style.

I really hope this review has inspired you to get styling this winter and add some amazing key pieces to your collection. You can pick up a copy of Adore Pinup via their website right now and read some amazing articles. This issue is jam packed with stunning editorials, interviews and more!

EL RODEO

I've fallen hard and heavy for Sydney based webstore - El Rodeo! With amazing tees, high waisted lace up shorts, vintage accessories, patches and more this store screams out to me and my love for all things a little country and grindhouse.

It was purely by chance that I happened to stumble across their IG account and since that moment I've had a hard love affair with both their shop and the awesome Elisia Mangione who runs the show. The bring you bad ass independent labels, and hand-picked vintage from the '70's to the '90's. Supporting local and international artists that create bangin' products, and stand behind sweatshop free production! What's not to love?

From the moment I laid eyes on their collection of Bandit and Mischief Made t-shirts I knew that a life long addiction had just started. I wear tees casually but rarely will you see me model them but for these I could not pass up a chance to snap such rocking designs.

I've been lusting after Mischief Made's tees for a while now and I'm so very smitten with their adorable retro prints and amazingly soft and comfortable fitting fabric. The Wolf Bait print appealed to the cheeky pinup in me and I love the old howler featured in the 'O'.

What I love most about this style is the neckline as I tend to have fit issues or find prints don't always work with my big bust. I've never tried either brand of tshirt so I opted for an XL in this range and the fit is perfect as the cotton is super stretchy.

While I live in my leather biker jacket, I felt that the curve hugging shape of these tees needed to be shown off so I paired them with my all time favourite jacket, the Deadly Dames Crop Moto from Pinup Girl Clothing. This faux leather bolero really shows off the design and emphasizes your curves.

While I thought the Wolf Bait tee was my absolute favourite, it turns out this one has my heart. Made by the label Bandit these tees are given that vintage feel and are so freaking cute! From the bold heart to the gun and beer I can definitely say that this lady loves the outlaw tee big time!

Now in Bandit I can wear a size Large with ease and they fit a little firmer than the other styles shown above but just as flattering and comfortable. I honestly can't wait to pair these with pencil skirts, jeans and shorts! Now to add more cowboy boots to my collection and style like crazy!

How adorable is this clumsy cowgirl? Sticking with the western vibe, featuring a super cute pinup and a lots of bright colours. Now much like the previous tee this style has a higher neckline but hell I can rock them. I never thought that was possible! In a size Large like the Bandit style this is a great fit and I think I'd rather size down with the Wolf Bait tee as well for a tighter fit at the waist now that I've tried all 3 brands.

This outfit is becoming one of my go to casual looks and I love how effortlessly fun these tees are. The cowgirl tee has inspired me to hunt down so super bright boots when I'm the US in August and I'll be sure to pack all of these for my travels.
