Simply Frocked Up

As soon as I started working in the gallery I realized I have a whole wardrobe full of over the top dresses and pinup frocks but I'm seriously lacking in work/summer/spring attire!

So off I headed to Simply Be and found the two most perfect little frocks that made my heart melt!

Leopard print, frills and the most adorable and work suitable necklines - perfect for my needs! I'm wearing these styles in a 14 and they are the perfect fit. The length is rather short but I'm actually showing my legs of much more these days and I've shown bellow the option of wearing this style with stockings. 

They are light enough to wear all summer and look brilliant with stockings and tights and can be layered with cardigans, wraps and jackets in the winter.

Waist Weave Belt in Black - £35.00

Floral prints and ruffles are always a perfect combination and honestly I can't choose between the both for my favorite. I paired this with one of the many brilliant belts from Simply Be but you also get a satin tie belt with each dress.

The classic rose print is sadly sold out now (it was that hot it flew off the shelf) but you can find other prints and more from the AX Paris brand here.

I now want all and any prints that this style comes in. It's so easy to wear, cute and so comfortable!

Simply Stunning

As you know I love Simply Yours for underwear and a perfect fitting Body Shaper!

I had my first taste of Simply Yours in a full blown shoot/review I posted featuring items from both the Gok Wan range and other in-house brands. You can read the full review here and see lots of images and details about the fit of all the products. This was back in 2010 and I still adore their range and fit! When I find good shapewear I want to buy it in bulk and wear it 7 days a week.

So I wanted to share a few of my favorites and some new items I've got on my Lust List for my next order. Shapewear is a great base for dressing, clothing looks smoother, fits better and in the end you will feel amazing when you look at your reflection.

Gok Wan Ultimate Multiway Sculpt - £50.00

Available in two colour choices - Blossom or Ebony in sizes 10-32UK this Gok Wan body shaper is just what I've been looking for. Cut and seemed to cinch you in and smooth you out this style allows you to wear any bra and not get that nasty squished bust as some other styles. Perfect to wear under any wiggle dress, pencil skirt or any outfit you need a little smoothing with.

I wear all Gok Wan products in a size 16UK and find them to be spot on for sizing.

Eve Light Control Bodyshaper - £12.00

Hot Damn! Such a cute bodyshaper and so cheaply priced! For that price I'd like both! Made from stretch mesh this suit offers light control and looks amazing. The panels on this are stunning!

With this style you purchase your bra size. I've worn a suit like this in the Simply Brilliant post I linked too at the start of this post and I ordered a size 38DD and found it to be perfect.

Gok Wan Osaka Body - £22.50

So feminine and delicate, the soft fabric and romantic print with lace accents would make this perfect wedding lingerie. Sizes in this shaper go by your bra size also. Being another Gok Wan product I can tell you that these fit like a dream.

Freya Nieve Underwired Long Line Bra - £21.70

Longline bra's have my heart. The vintage style is so very cute and I with this fabric and black lace detail I'm completely in love. If I had a flat tummy I'd wear this as a top with high waist skirts and jeans, it's seriously that adorable!

Rock It!

As the year comes to an end I wanted to share my favorite pieces from Simply Be this season. These items are more suited to my readers in the northern hemisphere so I hope you guys draw some inspiration as your side or the world gets cooler.

I must say I LOVE this BAG!!!! If Simply Be created this style in multiple colours I'd buy them all!

These pants are HOT! I'm so grumpy that it's summer here in Australia as I absolutely adore them. I'm wearing these in a size 14. I ordered the 16 originally but they were too loose at the back and around the crotch but the smaller size fits like a dream.

When I saw these I instantly thought Rock Chic! They are smooth, soft and have a good amount of stretch. I can't wait to style these with lots of goodies once Autumn hits!

The black lace moto jacket which I picked up from Hot Topic is my new summer staple. Being a lace fabric it is great for the sometimes chilly nights we have in Melbourne at the start of summer.

As you can see I've also added a new pair of Jeffery Campbell's to my collection. The black Foxy Tick are amazing! I followed the reviews via website and ordered these a size down due to the width. I'm wear a size 9 and I have a narrow/normal sized 10 foot. If you have a wider foot stick with your usual size.

Bespoke Princes Belted Mac - £35.00

For the colder months you can never have too many trenchcoats/mac's. So why not have a printed Mac? I will wear this all winter with every black item I have in my wardrobe and maybe a little pop of colour here and there.

I'm wearing this coat in the 16 and its still roomy enough to accommodate for lots of layer underneath. It comes with a fabric belt in the same print but also looks great with all of my black waist belts.

I wanted to show you my 3 current favorite outfits that can found online right now.

Black Frock & Frill Lace Dress - £65.00

The Black Frock & Frill Lace Dress is short, sweet and and a perfect summer day or evening dress. I'm wearing this in a UK16 but I could have gone down to a smaller size as its a little roomy under the bust. Easily fixed with my favorite wardrobe item - the waist belt.

I paired this up with the brilliant And Abigail Cardigan in grey which is going to be my new autumn/winter go to knit and this is also a UK16. It's lightweight yet really soft and warm and the studded metallic shoulder detail sold me at first glance (see more images online). I stupidly wore my bra ans a bodysuit underneath so the sheer lace effect on the top of the garment is not as apparent.

Next the Joe Browns Sexy Dress - £55.00

Next we have my very random choice the Joe Browns Sexy Dress I'm usually more fond of tighter fitting garments but when i saw this dress i was intrigued. It does add extra bulk on the hips but I equaled that out with my red plaid blazer (2 seasons ago in Topshop). Its really funky paired like this or if worn by itself a great casual day dress or even beach dress.

This item is really very roomy so size down.

I also got the amazing grey union jack handbag that can be used as either a over the solder bag or folded into a clutch. This is not online yet but I shall update the links when it goes live.

Then lastly the MagiSculpt Dress paired with the Double Buckle Belt in black. A perfect slim fitting wiggle dress.

This is more than just a little black dress though. Magi-sculpt unique clothing is designed to slim the tummy and waistline without causing any discomfort or restricting movement, giving an instantly slimmer silhouette. With an 'invisible' inside panel it completely flat, skimming over your curves to give a smoother, flatter waist.

I got this dress a size down from my usual size as i was not too sure of the fit. The invisible panel inside does wonders and it really gives an amazing shape.

Today I had the chance to model and review some amazing garments from the UK and US based companies Simply Yours and Simply Be!

These amazing stores carry everything a huge variety of products from fashion, shoes, accessories and more but in this post I will be showing some of the range from shapewear to bras.

So today we packed our bags and drove down to my family farm to shoot some great images of these lovely pieces. Mother Nature was nice enough not to make it rain giving us just enough time to make the most of the location. My photographer for the day the super talented Katherine Davis who I've wanted to work with so long was an absolutely pleasure to work with!

I'm wearing a size a UK16 in all bottoms and a 38DD UK in bras everything is a perfect fit.

Gok Wan'a Balconette Sassy Slip - £28.00 (UK only) This fits like a dream and holds you in tight. I like my bra's slightly more padded/push up but this has great support and the garters will look amazing with thigh highs. All Gok Wan bra's come with extra straps.

Gok Non-Padded Long Line Bra - £22.40 with matching Deep Brief £9.00 (UK only) by far my favorite of the lot. The high waist on the brief is perfect for high waist skirts and the bra is longer than usual giving a little more back and side coverage. Its the perfect set!

Gok Wan's Balconette Banger Booster - £33.00 with matching Slicker Knicker £11.00 (UK Only) Wearing this i can honestly say I feel a little like a sex kitten. The shorts come in mid waist so there might be a little over hang but there are also a high pair online. These are so good at holding you as they have plastic boning and power mesh.

Naturally Close Control Body - Standard Length US Site - $58.00 UK Site - £32.00 I'm not sure if I'm wearing the standard or longer legnth but I think it is a little short for my torso. This is so comfortable though and the lace is so soft and pretty. With all the pieces above these can be converted into a halter which is great for summer dresses. I would have liked a little more push up in this style though, so I will look into some inserts.

Naturally Close Plunge Bra 2 Pack shown in Coral and Navy - US Site $23.00 UK Site £14.00

I adore the colours and love the details. These two plunge bras will be a staple for me now. They are comfy and create great cleavage.
