Gothic Romance

Recently I've had a few people reaching out and asking for fit advice for blouses and shirts from Blackmilk Clothing. So I'll be making a point over the next few months to always pop a shirt onto each and every order so I can give you the low down when it comes to button-up fits at BlackMilk.

Now my first piece of advice when buying any button-up piece when you are a busty lass like myself is to size up. If you are an XL in Blackmilk try the XXL. The buttons have less work to do and the fit while a little larger will be easily tailored to your shape.

I'm wearing the XXL shirt and red corset and I feel so comfy and amazing! The shirt is very oversized so if you are size 18/20 and not too busty I'd suggest sticking to your usual size as there is heaps of room.

Now, I'd usually not wear a piece like this or have a shirt fully buttoned but I wanted to try something new and style in my own way. The fit of this piece gives me Mia Wallace from Pulp Fiction vibes and I will be styling this casually at work very soon.

I went for chunky gothic jewelry and the red belt to break up the all-white look and define my waist. I really adore this shirt but as you can see the darts are also perfectly placed mid-boob so it can look a little cheeky! I'm going to order the black version of this piece next and I'll go with my OG XL sizing as I'll want to wear that with lots of cleavage showing.

For the bottoms, I went for the classic Velvet Hight Waisted Flare. These are soft and have pajama level comfort. I could wear these days and night and feel comfy and amazing. I'm wearing these in the XL and they come right up to my belly button and fit like a dream. Let me know if there are any more button-up pieces from BlackMilk I can road-test for you!
