Winter Retro Styling

This month I've been inspired by retro suit pieces, admirable mini dresses, and classic black moto jackets. Putting my own spin on these classics unimtentally turning myself into Wanda from Cry Baby!

I have an obsession with Biker Jackets and I have way too many in my closet. I have themed pieces, all covered with bright enamel pins and bach patches. So when I saw the Amira cropped faux leather jacket in the CC's new arrivals I had to get it! A perfectly fitting piece in the 16/S that will become the base for my next pin and patch creation!

The fit of this jacket is amazing. Roomy sleeves, zips up without any issues and shits just at my natural waist. A cropped style that really does flatter your curves.

Styling-wise I noticed this bold preppy style red suit and while I adored the look I knew personally I could not pull it off. So instantly I thought let's go preppy but with a mod twist! I've paired my amazing new biker with this adorable bright red mini skirt, a plain black tee, and a nylon neckerchief. This skirt is the perfect mini length, fully lined and I adore the gold button detailing.

Now for this piece, I went up to the 18/M as there is absolutely not stretch or room to move in the 16. I find garments that are very fitted or have an extra layer such as lining need to be sized up for my body shape.

Honestly, I can't get enough of this look and I want to live in it! Pairing all of these pieces with a classic black tight and City Chic's faux leather boots (in-store limited) this is the go-to work look for Winter/Spring.

For my next pieces, I had to get two of the most stunning little mini dresses I've ever owned from City Chic. The flirty Flounce was a no-brainer. The structured bust, deep sweetheart neckline, and billowing sleeves had my name written all over it. But I went for the stunning Wine shade instead of my normal all black!

I'm so glad I gave this dark purple shade a chance as I'm absolutely smitten with it. The tone is perfect on my pale skin and the fit is really great as there is a bust and back shirring which gives that figure hugging fit.

The cups accommodate my large chest which is usually an issue with most designs and I feel stunning when wearing this! I'm wearing this in the 16/S and the fit is spot on.

Now for a classic black dress but with a few sneaky twists that will have you making grabby hands at the screen.  The Adelyn is my all-time favourite dress that City Chic has created.

A super lightweight mini dress that features a deep v/tie front neckline, full sleeves, elasticated back panel, hidden pockets, and a fit and flare skirt. All of those little features make this my go-to dress for any evening out. It makes my bust look amazing, really hugs my curves and I feel sexy as hell while still covered up.

I will be wearing this all year round as it's super versatile and flattering. I'm wearing this in the 16/S and the fit is again, perfect. It's a simple style to pull on and off, with no pesky zips or buttons.

This piece also comes in PLUM which is a more warmish purple/pink tone and I will definitely be needing that colourway as well.

Which is your favorite look?
