Venomous Velvet

Sheer sleeves, bold prints, and all those chains! I can't get enough of Blackmilk on a daily basis in all honesty but this week I wanted to share my two favourite sheer items and how I love to style them without BM items.

I've had my eye on the Sheer Excellence bodysuit for a while now as I love the bishop sheer sleeve and velvet body. The combination gives this stretchy little bodysuit the right amount of luxury while still be super sexy.

While I could pair this with any number of skirts, shorts, and jeans in my wardrobe I knew I instantly wanted to wear this with the Venomous Blue Skater dress. This amazing mini with the bright bold blue snake scale patter is the perfect match for layering over the bodysuit.

The prink pops perfectly with the black bodysuit and the shape created is amazing. I'm wearing the body in an XL but I've actually sized up on the dress to an XXL in order to give a little more booty coverage as it's a mini style.

While still a mini,  this little skater covers my toosh while hugging my curves. I've also found that layering velverts can add extra bulk so sizing up was a smart choice.

If there is one pair of pants I always recommend you add to your collection it has to be the Cuffed Pant from Blackmilk. Super comfy, a joy to wear, and the most effortlessly chic style you can wear for all occasions. I own plaid, solid, and floral prints in these skinny pants and adore them.

Whenever you get this style be sure to go 1 size down and they are very stretchy and will loosen up over time. I'm wearing the Large and the fit is perfect without any stretching or print warping. They can be worn cuffered or uncuffed as I've shown here. I wanted to get a full skinny-style printed look from them. The fabric is thick, warm, and fleece-lined for all-day comfort. They also have pockets!!

I can't get enough of this bold check and how perfectly it pairs with a sheer black shirt. While this stop is rather long and referred to as a shirt dress via the website I found it to be rather short on me. This might be due to my huge bust.

I really love the fit of this piece with the roomy flowing sleeves and longer length. I can tie it at the waist or just wear it untucked. A shirt that will pair perfectly with so many looks in my collection and is soon to be worn by the pool over swimsuits.

Whats your favourite way to style sheer pieces? Which of these two options will be on your lust list?
