Starry Nights

After feeling absolutely regal in my last City Chic gown I knew I needed to add something a little more glam goth to my collection. My best friend is getting married later this year and I wanted something in all-black for the event! Luckily this sparkling piece of perfection had just arrived!

The Starry Nights maxi seems like it was made for me! Featuring a deep v-neckline with lots of sheer elements and sparkles. Billowing sleeves, a full maxi style skirt with a ponte mini slip attached beneath.

What I love most about this glamorous maxi dress is the mixture of sheerness and sparkles. I can still show off my tattoos but I feel covered up with those areas I'm not 100% comfortable with. The mini slip hugs me in all the right places and the fit is amazing in a 16/S. This is actually a rather roomy fabric so you can size down if you are right on the cusp of the size chart.

I've been torn and could not commit to one dress for the upcoming wedding. I've purchased 3 dresses in total as options but after wiggling my way into the Start Nights maxi and literally taking it for many spins (how can you not!) this is my final choice.

I can't wait to celebrate with my bestie way into the wee hours and dance up a storm in this piece. The detailing and that shimmer really pop and this dress will be worn to quite a few events I think. Styling wise I'm wearing the matching belt which is a rope and tassel creation and I love the simplicity. If I want to make this a little more rock'n'roll I can easily add some of my metal and chain waist belts and some bold silver accessories.

For this shoot, I merely wore black pumps but you can pair this with anything really. I'd love to see this with knee-high or thigh-high boots as the sheer contrast would really pop.

I honestly can't get enough of this piece and hope City Chic create this in more shades in future ranges. I'd love to own this in a deep red or emerald as well.
