Lydia, Lydia!

Hello, my loves! I'd like to introduce you to my 3rd Lydia dress by Wax Poetic Clothing from Natasha Marie Clothing here in Australia. Natasha's keen eye for retro reproduction clothing and amazing taste mean Aussies have the ability to get their paw on US-based designers like Wax Poetic without high postage fees.

After writing two blogs already what more can I say about the brilliance that is the Lydia Dress? Well until now I did not know my life was not fully complete without a spiderweb printed version of it in my world.

The flocked black spiderwebs adorn this sheer mesh black maxi. I have the flocked rose Lydia already and the Leopard print version so I knew that I could rock them perfectly be it fully rock and role styling or as a pinup.

However, I was not sure which version it would be more like. Turns out this is a super stretchy sheer mesh with lots more give than my Black Rose version. It has the same stretch as my leopard print maxi and can easily be sized down and fit like a dream.

She's Just A Cosmic Girl

It's time to be transported to another galaxy! This week I have some absolutely stunning pieces to feature from Sarsparilly with the Cosmic Girl Collection

This entire collection features bold prints with a Retrofuturism theme. With out of this world fabrics and the sweetest of prints. The Starlite Salon brings all those vintage pinup parlour vibes with a futuristic twist.

Complete with pets, space cars and of course the funkiest of future space-age fashion. All are printed on a navy blue base. Now I'm not usually one to gravitate to Navy but I really love how the pastel colours of the illustration pop on this particular shade.

I'm wearing the 3XL to accommodate my bust but the waist is a little loose as expected. Luckily this piece comes with a matching fabric-covered belt. This piece also comes with adjustable straps and hidden pockets!

Now for a piece that unexpectedly blew my mind. When I first saw the Supernova skirt I swore that I could not pull this amazingly bold piece off. I was slightly worried I could not pull this look off but I had to at least try.

I'm so glad I did as it's PERFECTION! Layers of tulle create heaps of volume in this lined swing style skirt. The irradiance of this fabric has to be seen to be believed. While shooting this look I got many lovely compliments by passes by.

Just look at those colours! I swear this skirt is magical. What I love most about this piece is the volume it has with or without a petticoat. If you want a purchase a piece that will make you feel absolutely amazing this is the one. I feel like a modern twist of Glenda the Good Witch and I'm 100% ok with that.

While the Supernova Skirt does have a matching blouse I wanted to wear it in a more subtle way. So the classic black Tie Me Up Vixen blouse was a perfect choice. Great sleeve length, a low neckline and curve hugging fit.

I'm wearing the Violet Supernova Skirt in a 3XL as well as and I love the fit. The waist does not have any give or stretch so this size was spot on for me. My magical shoes are Lovely-442 from Shoe Me  and they are a perfect match.

Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill!

Earlier this year I feel in love with a little romper. A classically tailored piece of perfection that my body would not be able to live without. What roper you ask? Well let me tell you.

After being smitten with Micheline's Vactaion syle stretchy romper and ordering another lace version I needed something a little bit more moto/biker in my collection.  The Pussycat Romper was previewed in the Vixen Salon and the fit, detailing and perfect pairing of knee high boots hand it instantly on my lust list.

I ordered my usual size and thought I will be fine but then I had 2 huge failures with structured rompers and jumpsuits. Every year I seem to forget that I have a long torso and that when shopping for such 'all in one' fits I need to be mindful of that.  Going straight in with my usual vixen size was great everywhere but my long torso got squished and I was almost hunching.

Quickly I returned the 2XL and went one size up to the 3XL which gives me more length where I need it. This is a really structured and well-tailored piece with limited stretch so if you are spot-on for your usual size measurements but have no long or short torso issues then you'll be safe with that size.

The 3XL honestly to me feels more like a 2XL and a plus-size lass I feel that it is a going size up might be better in genreral for a really comfortable fit.

While I still wear everything else in a 2XL I'll be ordering th Ghostbusters version of this and maybe even the LFEN Alien full Jumpsuit in a larger size to help with torso fit issues. So if you try a style much like these and you feel hunched - you will need a size up. That was my instant giveaway.

Asides from that I adore this piece. The fully functioning zips, pockets and that bold long silver zip mean you can show as much skin or as little as you want. Now I wanted to show you the true fit with this piece so I've opted to go corsetless. I love the fit and feel amazing wearing it.

For my accessories, I'm wearing some amazing Lightning Bolt Earrings from Deluxe Designs and Creations a local Aussie company. My thigh-high boots are from Shoe Me.

True Love

This week I'm absolutely delighted to share with you the latest magical arrival from Sarsparilly! I swear this label makes me take risks with colour and patterns I've never tried before and I adore it.

The colour palette of the True Love Collection really drew me in. I'm usually not a fan of an all-pink  but the combo of this soft pink and ruby red bows was too cute to pass.

Featuring a large fabric bow, fully pleated skirt, matching fabric belt with metal eyelets and covered buckle. These little details make this sleeveless piece super flatting and so very comfortable. I'm wearing the 3XL as per usual for my chest and the belt helps to cinch in the waist which is a little big on me.

I honestly can't get enough of this colour combo and print. The fabric inspires so many different accessories and cardigan combos and I can't wait to wear this all year round.

For this photoshoot, I wanted bright pops of red and purple. My Yemak Cardigan was the perfect choice to make the print shine. Then I've paired a classic red beret and lolita style heart sunglasses.

With or without the cardigan this piece is magic and I hope you love it as much as I do. Check back next week for another set of adorable out of this world style item I've recently shot from the same brand! Think Glenda the good witch from Space!

New from Hell Bunny

New Hell Bunny goodies have arrived and I'm way to excited to share these adorable new pieces with you my loves.

I never thought checkerboard and strawberries would be a winning combo but together they make the cutest little jacket! Now if you are a long time reader you'll know that I'm absolute obsessed with outerwear and every winter I like to try more shapes and styles to add to my collection.

This little cropped cutie is the perfect pop of print and colour for everyday wear. Featuring a pointed collar, bold silver zip and charms and a relaxed fit for layering. I'm wearing this in the 3XL but I think I might suit a 2XL as the shape is a little boxy on my waist and I have lots of room at the bust.

I will admit that I'm usually one for a tapered shape but I love how much room there is with this piece to layer all winter long. For this shoot, I've paired it with a romper but once the weather cools I'll be finding lots of cute turtleneck bodysuits to wear with it.

Well hello there gothic mini dress perfection! I swear each and every season Hell Bunny creates something to fore fill my Stevie Nicks styling fantasies and the Jett might be my all-time favourite.

Full 60's witchy vibes with flowing chiffon sleeves, velvet ribbon laced bust and lace trims. Flatter, form fitting and curve hugging, the Jett will be my go-to little black dress for winter.

Now I'm wearing the Jett in a 3XL and the fabric has little to no stretch so I sized up from my usual 2XL. While the bust lace-up does accommodate various bust sizes the sleeves and waist are very solid fitting.

Noir Pinup (NSFW)

It's time to share my latest lingerie OBSESSIONS from Playful Promises. Lots of black lace, sheer fabrics and the most delicate designs.

The Wren I was intrigued by but not 100% sure if it would work on me. But after seeing it on so many body shapes and bust I was in love with the delicate lacework and mesh panels.

I'm wearing the bra in an 18GG (closest fit I can get to my usual 16HH or I) and it's a little too roomy but holy hell is this comfy. I could live in this bra and I swear it's the fabrics. The only issue is that I cannot tighten this enough to make my bust perkier. I can set the straps a little shorter though for a perfect fit.

While I'm usually not a full set kinda girl there's something so lush and divine about all 3 pieces of the Wren design when worn together.

For the waspie and briefs I'm in an 18 and they stretchy heaps for extra comfort. I've been wearing this set to death since this shoot and I really do adore every single element.  The rest of this post might contain images NSFW.

Super Spy

It's time to fill your wardrobe with those cross-seasonal staples to get you looking adorably warm and cute! For years now I've forever filled my collection with Heart of Haute pieces as they are so effortlessly stunning and so comfy. While I'm styling for the cooler weather about to hit Melbourne the latest spring styles have hit  Heart of Haute and I'm already looking at my next few season's worths of lust lists.

Many moons ago I wore the spy dress in wiggle form and absolutely adored it! So when the aline version was released I knew instantly that it was going to be a must-have.

There was something about this dress that made me fall in love with the wiggle but I think I've fallen even harder for the A-line version. With a hip sweeping skirt, pockets and that neckline and sleeve length this piece has hit all my needs. Perfect for Melbourne winters as it layers perfectly with coats, cardigans or as a stand-alone piece.

I swear the design crew at HOH are genius they always manage to make my twins look amazing when covered up which is quite a feat. A high neckline on a HH cup bust can usually look way too bulky but this style flatters my curves perfectly.

I'm wearing this in a 1XL and I tend to gravitate to this size for more stretchy fabrics for Heart of Haute. If I'm purchasing a button-up I'll always get a 2XL.

Honestly, I can't get enough of this piece and the entire look! Now all I need is some gloves to match!

If there was one piece from HOH that I could officially say that I'm addicted to it has to be the Sweet Sweater. For years I've added each and every colour to my collection as they pair so perfectly with dresses, blouses and more.

So obviously I needed to get my paws on this black and white stripe version ASAP! I love the extra element this piece brings in print and the bold black neckline makes it really pop.

While I've only owned solid colour versions of this style before I really love how well this sweater pairs with over the top of the Spy Dress and I can think of a million different looks I can wear this with.

Again I'm wearing a 1XL and it's super stretchy and comfy. This is a piece that everyone will need in their wardrobe all year round.

More Stripes? Ah hell yes!! Remember being told that curvy girls could not wear stripes? Bugger that I say! They make me feel amazing and the Denis Top is giving me Man Men styling inspo.

Now, this top is an Essential. One of those items you can style for any look and pair with just about anything. For this shoot, I just threw on a skater skirt and corset belt but the styling possibilities are endless. From a cute mod look untucked with capris to a more chic office look with high waisted palazzo pants. Plus it looks phenomenal when worn with wiggles and swings.

Now, this is a 1XL as well and the fit is perfection. I tend to wear my tops tucked so I like a solid fit to limit the fabric from moving under my skirts or jeans.  If I wanted a more relaxed vibe I'd go one size up and wear it over capri pants.

 Which is your favourite look?
