Cherries Pies

We are on a shooting/reviewing spree right now and you my lovely readers are reaping the benefits!

Recently I got my paws on a few new seasons pieces from Hell Bunny and I've got to say the new prints and brilliant new alterations to existing styles have made me swoon. So if you are in need of a little distraction let's chat fashion!

For a lass that's been wearing rockabilly/retro inspired prints of over a decade now I've not actually had too many cherries in my collection over the years. But from the moment I saw this mixture of soft pink blossoms paired with red cherries I was instantly in love.

A soft and sweet fabric with the right pop of colour this 50's style is complete with pockets, pleats and a back zip and button closure.

I'm wearing this in my standard size 2XL, and the fit is spot on for all of my other Hell Bunny swing style skirts. The super fitted waist and full style really does create great shape and I'm loving the lighter shade as I'm always wearing blacks or darker colours.

I've paired this piece with one of my cropped Yemak Sweaters, and I love the effortlessly perfect vibe of this whole look. For this and all Yemak sweaters I wear a size XL as they have lots of stretch and the smaller size tends to hug my curves perfectly.

You might have noticed in my last Hell Bunny post that I have an outright addiction to their amazing collection of peasant style mid dresses. I've featured Vegas, cocktails, strawberries, and lovebird themed prints but for this season we have the new Noa Noa Mid dress witch is the same amazing fit with one extra special addition.

The Noa Noa has the same fitted bust, perfect waist but instead of a little keyhole at the bust this piece as a bow tie. This extra little detail makes the Noa Noa dress even more adorable and even better on a busty girl like myself.

The fabric for this style is covered in tikis, and hibiscus flowers on a black background. The soft colours really pop on the black base and I have been wearing this every chance I get.

Size wise I'm wearing the 2XL, and the fit is perfect as per usual with this design.

As you can see, we also found the best location to compliment this print and I'm absolutely over the moon with how these images came out. Many thanks to my amazing husband for capturing what might be my number 1 favourite dress release of 2020.

Now for a little gingham! I honestly can't say now to a check print and the Victorine 50's swing is giving me life. A bold gingham print, full gathered skirt, pockets and a fully lined bodice, this piece really knows how to accentuate your assets.

Now I'm not wearing an form of bra in these shots as to be honest I can't. My 16HH cups are going free in this dress but with the cross over bust I'm actually held in securely and firmly.

But if you are not one to go bra free I highly suggest you to size up as the fully lined bodice means little to no stretch.

I'm super comfortable in the 2XL though and even the capped sleeves are roomy enough that you'll not have any tightness or fit issues.

This piece is amazing on it's own or styled with a bright cardigan and belt. Being a black and white based print you, can pair just about colour with this dress and look amazing. Time to start planning more looks this this!

I hope that helps with any current fit questions you may be having and if there are any other Hell Bunny pieces you'd like help with or advice regarding plus sizes please get in touch!
