Lady in red

The Happily Ever After dress has to be one of my stand out favourite designs at Unique Vintage. Such a stunning swing style with a pleated sweetheart neckline and full skirt, this is the third version of this dress I've added to my collection.

I first fell in love with the Ever After style in black and pink floral, and then a black on black polka dot print stole the goth section of my heart, and now, it's in bright red!

This dress was made for curves. The sweetheart bustline provides ample room for busty girls like myself and the tapered waist and full skirt really accentuate your hourglass figure. I wear the 2XL in this style as the fabric has no stretch and I needed a little more room in the bust. The waist however is a little loose so a waist belt is needed to cinch the dress in and perfect the fit.

I adore the extra dimension the red polka dot print ads to the dress. It adds a little more POP and a whole lotta wow factor.

For years I've shied away from red prints and fabrics due to being a redhead but a now I give in 100% and wear it as much as possible. I love how perfectly the dress print pairs with my favourite bolero style from Inspired insanity as shown in these images. I also own this bolero in black which would work wonderfully paired with this frock.

With endless styling possibilities this dress is a must have and I highly recommend getting each and every print. The fabric is soft and silky and so light to wear in the warmer months but can be layered with stockings, cardigans and coats over winter.

Many thanks to the BRILLIANT Shimona Henry of Pin-up Perfection Photography! It was such a pleasure to finally be able to work with you and I'm blown away with the results. I really hope our paths cross once again so we can create some bright and stunning pinup magic!

Also many thanks to the amazing team at Rydges in Melbourne for letting me run around their retro venue Bobby McGee's! Can we get a huge rockabilly/kustom culture event booked here please? It would be absolutely amazing.
