Ghoulish Velvet Versailles

A spooky month calls for spooky prints, adoring ones self in lush. velvets and adding a little sparkle to your wardrobe via spiderwebs! For the Halloween month I've been a little slack but I wanted to share my must haves from Lana Rose! Not only for all your spooky needs but for all year round wear.

Now I need to warn you as this is so very out of character for me but I'm featuring not 1 but 2 wiggle/pencil dresses in this review! Shocked? I know right? But there is something so magical about each that I've cast aside all of my body issues and rocked the hell out of these pieces.

This wiggle is amazing not only for the print but for the fit, but lets chat print first. This super lightweight fabric features burlesque beauties inspired by Universal Monsters. Who do we have? Bella Lugosi: The Champagne Vamp, Victoria Frankenstein: The Electrifying Experiment, Laguna Noire: The Alluring Aquatic Creature, Betty Nocturne: The Bat Girl, Nina Nightmare: The Spider Woman and Claudette Raines: The Invisible Dame.

Each if these ghoulish girls are inspo for many Halloweens costumes to come.  Now this is a new brand for me called Black Mast. They have a small run of prints and pieces but really focus on perfecting their styles while having oh so much fun with the prints. You can also snap up the mens button down shirt version of this amazing fabric!

Now lets talk fit! I'm usually running for the hills when it comes to wiggles as I hate my mid section and tummy but this print does amazing things for hiding any bits you're not keen on. The fabric is 95% Polyester and 5% elastin so it's cool to wear, has a good amount of stretch and super comfy. I'm wearing the 2XL and it's honestly a bit roomy. The size chart is very true to size and even a little more forgiving with the elastane content being 5%.

What I love most about this piece is the thick straps (full adjustable) to hide all bra straps and the sweetheart neckline. This looks so great on large chests and really make my curves pop as the bodice has structure and shape. I've paired this with a Killstar lace duster from my collection and I love the full look.

The Velvet Versailles Peplum Dress has been in my lust list for a while now. I swear I've been targeted all over social media with this stunning little gothic number and I'm not complaining at all.  So once I saw that Lana Rose has this piece I had to have it.

I don't think I've felt this good in a wiggle dress for so very long! The fit, the structure, the boning and corset lacing in the bodice and that sculpted high-low gathered peplum waist all combine to make an dress that will make you feel and look like a bombshell.

This dress has both fully adjustable straps and front lacing which hug your bust and waist and creates heaps of support and shaping. I'm not wearing a bra in these images yet but bust look perfect and is fully supported!

I'm wearing this piece in a 2XL and it's very, very stretchy, so much so you can easily size done. But for the sake of my girls I stuck with the 2XL in order to have adequate boobie room.

I just love the side peplum and those pleats and ruffles on the edges. This piece has so many small and stunning details that I can't pick which is my favourite!

Finished with a classic black Vixen by Micheline Pitt spiderweb bolero I'm obsessed with this outfit!

The pencil Glamour Ghoul is here and of course I had to share this with you! A few months we featured the swing version while I respectively pranced around my local cemetery and now I'm excited to share the pencil version.

All those details I swooned about in the first swing style come in the most flattering pencil dress for a little more vava-voom! Created from the same luxe strech cotton elastane ponte this hold firm while hugging you perfectly  This piece is SCULPTED! From the bust to the waist if compresses and really flatter your shape.

A rear lace up corset back just like the swing and adjustable straps for styling in two different ways - as shown. or crossed over the bust. Plus you also have the option of going strapless and the corset will help with lift and support while creating strong curves and get that perfect fit. I'm wearing this in the same size as the swing, a 2XL and the fits is a little smaller as it's more fitted. The fabric over the mid section also hides any imperfections and I love this added feature, it's giving faux sarong vibes!

Obviously the standout feature of this dress has to be the sparkling diamond cut acrylic Clear rhinestones. These shine like crazy when the light hits and they are stunning! The sheer perfection of a little sparkled spiderwebs makes this piece a must have for all spooky and kooky girls!

The question is which will you be wearing this Halloween season?
