If you follow my IG account, you might have seen some sneaky previews and new release pieces from the latest Blackmilk Clothing collection - Ghouls Day Out! Jay and I attended their amazing event and new season launch at Tibbs and Bones and snapped up some of the most outstanding pieces!
Prepare yourself for the most adorably cute witchy vibes in the Coven Cutie Princess Spectre Dress! A soft and floaty fabric adorned with spiders, ghosties, pumpkins, potions and more. The soft pink base and mixture of orange/black and white printed ghouls make this a lovely change from glassic Halloween colours and a super cute alternative.
Unintentionally, this review of bell sleeves (I seem to have an addiction) of all shades and sheernesses. The fit features the classic father lace bodice and non-functional tie that hugs your bust and waist perfectly. The flowing skirt skims the hips and makes for perfect twirlability.
Now I'm wearing my normal size in all of the pieces here, so the XL, and I've found this specific fabric and style of the Specture is a rather roomy fit, and I could easily size down as there is heaps of stretch. I own a black version, which you'll see next, and that's a much firmer fit.
I'm so excited to have another velvet underbust dress in my collection!! I live in all show us your bust and underbust pieces from Blackmilk, as they are the easiest items to style, can be worn reversed and are the ultimate in comfort.
The soft fabrics and the sheerness mixed with lustrous stretch velvet work perfectly together. The fit of the XL is super roomy as well in this style but as the fabric base beneath is white be sure not to size down as it can lighten the overall colour when stretched.
Lastly, what has become my unexpected favourite look from this entire shoot! I knew I loved the look of the Horror Bound Evil Tee dress, but I feel so much harder when I paired this with the Mrs Adams Shrug.
The Horror Bound print is of many trapped souls in internal darkness, so you know, a light and fun print for all year round. A mini skater-length dress made from the classic Blackmilk comfy tee fabric and featuring a crew neck and short sleeves.
This favric if firm but does not stretch or warp the print in the XL for me in any way. The firmness hugs my curves and really accentuates my curves and waistline. Paired with the double belt in an XL/XXL this really makes my curves pop. Be warned, though: if you have anything over a 38inch waist wise this belt will be too small. It just fits me!
As you can see, I was really feeling this look, and I adore how well the Mrs Adams Shrug pairs with this print and the higher neckline. Almost like they were meant for each other.
I'm wearing the shurg in an XL and can easily size down in this piece as the fabric is soft and very, very stretchy.
Which is your favourite look from this set? Have you snapped up any of the Ghoulish next pieces? If so I'd love to hear about your haul!
