Moonstones

I'm back with another Sugar Stitch clothing review! A few weeks ago I received an unexpected parcel from the amazing Sugar Stitch designer and I instantly started planning for his shoot. I'm usually a control freak and love to know exactly what is coming for a photoshoot review so I can make lists, style etc but this was super fun as I had no idea and just ran with my first vibes!

This year I seem to be really into higher necklines and statement sleeves. They add a little more drama to each and every look and right now I'm OBSESSED with the Pheobe Top! It's stretchy and soft, form-fitting in all the right areas and really is a classic.

Featuring a Leg-o-Mutton sleeve and the most amazing V-shaped back cut-out and snap closure as seen below. I love this little bit of back showing from the rear of the top and I'm almost tempted to wear this back to front - two tops of the price of one!

I'm wearing this in the 2XL and the fit is amazing. The stretchy fabric and generous fit make it comfortable for all-day wear. I've paired Pheobe with  Nimue Skirt in Black and I swear these two pieces were made for each other. The Nimue skirt is an A-line style with a curved waistband (a staple in Sugar Stich styles) back zip, pockets and a perfectly placed slit.

To make these pieces pop a little more I added a bold silver and faux leather waist belt and I love how this piece cuts up the full black outfit and adds a little more drama. These kinds of belts are my go-to daily if not weekly as I loved a chunky chain and stud combo.

Sheer sleeves - CHECK! Bold shapes - CHECK! - Softy stretchy velvet hugging all the curves - CHECK!! My loves let me introduce you to the Moonstone Dress. From the moment I wiggled myself into this amazing dress I felt like I was a character in Tim Burton film - think along the lines of Delia Deetz!

This wiggle is amazing! It's not usually something I'd gravitate to but once I'm in it I feel like a million dollars. This wiggle features a rear rip, sweetheart neckline and a bold deep v at the back. The mixture of sheer with the solid black velvet makes this piece really unique and I just love the detailing of the draped hip and hidden pockets.

For styling I wanted to get more shape at the waist so I've added my favourite waist belt and for a little extra gothic goodness a pair of sheer polka dot gloves. The full look is perfection!

I'm wearing everything you see here in a 2XL and they are great fit-wise. I also think that with this fabric and the stretchy, I could easily go down to an XL as this piece is really roomy.

Purple perfection in French lace. The Stevie Dress is a magically tiered maxi dress in the softest of purple lace. Complete with a rear bold silver zip, ruffles and sheer bodice so you can wear whatever you wish beneath, be it a black body suit or natural-toned underwear for a more ethereal look.

What I love about this piece is the tiered skirt. You'll be swishing around and twirling as much as possible in this super light maxi. The sleeves and ruffled bust can be worn up or off the shoulder as well so you can style this in multiple ways.

I've paired this with a simple black belt as I wanted the dress itself to shine and boy does it! The rich purple tone, intricate lace work and those tiers! It's just pure magic. But, the fit and lightweight feeling of this piece can be styled for all seasons. Throw on a chunky knit or moto jacket and knee-high boots for a full winter, witchy vibe.

I absolutely adore this maxi and can't wait to wear this all year round! I might need to snap up a black version as well as I'd live in both through spring and summer.

Lastly my second pair of Alexis Bellbottoms! Now, you saw me in the purple version of these last month but I wanted to style the Pumpkin Spice style in a more 70's icon way. Drawing inspo from Daisy Jones and the Six I've paired this with a simple Vixen stripe top and a chain belt.

These pants are more comfy than your PJ's or joggers and you will want to live in them forever! I've been wearing these casually with a chunky pair of vans or more dressed up as here with my platform boots. I'm in the 2XL and the fit is really good. I'd stick with this size for all future pants orders as well as they accommodate my hip and waist ratio really well and make me feel super comfy.

They are super high-waisted and have a rear zip making your legs go for days and that toosh look fantastic. While they do show the roundness of my tummy a little I'm ok with that as I have a tummy and hell, I look adorable!

What's next on my lust list? Well, I think I need to try Sugar Stitches shorts but these two pre-order pretties are making me make grabby hands at the screen! The entire Spring/Summer 2024 range has me swooning!

What's your favourite piece from this Sugar Stich Clothing review?
