Fiesta Florals

Now for something a little cropped and a lot of floral. The summer releases from City Chic have been high on my lust list but I've not been game enough to really jump out of my comfort zone and try the bold prints and colours. Luckily they have classic black staples and cross-seasonal pieces that make me swoon.

From the moment I said eyes on the Fiesta top I knew I needed it in my world. From the billowing bishop sleeves to the cheeky underbust keyhole and draws string this piece screamed sultry summer perfection.

This piece is a true crop top as it sits under the bust and as you can see both here (and in the online product shots) works with all chest shapes and sizes. This piece is stretchy and comfortable and the fabric is light and perfect for the heatwave we have been hit by recently.

I'm wearing this in a 16/S and the fit is perfect for my curves. The right amount of skin and no sneaky bra pop-outs! I'm wearing a Scantilly very deep plunge bra and it works perfectly! Almost like I'm not wearing anything but still supported!

Styling wise I've paired all the tops featured in this post with my favourite ruffle skirt. Honestly, I've been living in the Poppie skirt as it's so comfy and stretchy and the lining means no knickers are flashed on a windy day! I'm so in love with the Fiesta top in this classic black shade that I've now got the cream/purple version on my lust list with matching pants! You can find all of the Fiesta Pieces Here!

Sweet little crop tops, lots of figure-hugging shirring and ruffles - YES PLEASE! Emilia is the sweetest of sweet! This pale blue and peach-based floral is a must-have.

A curve-popping peasant top that hits right at your waist and hugs you in all of the right places. This fabric is really light and a joy to wear on a hot day. I'm wearing this in the 16/S and the fit is really lovely. The back shirring means it's easy to get in and out of and it's the kinda of piece you can wear when your bust fluctuates.

Now I think I need any future prints that City Chic ever plan to release in this top!

I'm on a pale blue floral kick it seems! The Emilee instantly jumped out at me for the flowing cap sleeve, bustline and black button detailing.

I'm forever adding adorable little floral dresses to my collection as they work all year round. The perfect go-to piece in the summer or pair with tights, a moto and leather boots in the cooler months. They are a year-round staple.

I'm wearing the 16/S and the fit is amazing. The back has shirring so it has some wiggle room but the bust and front (fully lined mind you) are a little firmer than I expected. This firmness however makes your bust look amazing.

Lenght wise this hits just above my knees and is a really flattering shape when paired with a chunky black belt.

I can't wait to style this all year long with more belts, chains and a harness or two. Now to hunt for an amazing black knit cardigan to pair with this in winter.

What's your stand-out favourite piece from this collection? Are you into flirty florals or in need of a classic black crop?
