Summer Colour

Warning - You might need sunglasses for all the brightness I've packed into this post! This week I was inspired by the newest releases from City Chic and the stunning selection of bright shades.

I'm forever a sucker for the floaty lightweight playsuit and I swear City Chic is the best of the best when it comes to fitting my body for playsuits this summer. The Noelle is a little piece of perfection. Soft, silky, and super flattering to my shape.

The perfect summer all-in-one piece that keeps you cool and makes you feel amazing. I'm wearing the 16/S and at first, I thought maybe I might need to size up as I have a long tors. But the fit is actually perfect.

The greenstone shade is pure bliss and the waist belt defines my shape effortlessly. What I love most about this piece is the floaty sleeves and the short section. The drape perfectly and make me feel covered up without over doing it.

This playsuit also comes in hot pink and I have to admit it's on my next lust list. I can't get enough of the fit and want every colour that comes out.

Ariella Maxi Dress in Tangerine

Now for a real pop of brightness in your world! It might be the season inspiring me but when I saw this shade of Tangerine I new it had to be on my body asap.

The Ariella maxi is a little magical. Flowing layers, structured bust with shirring, tie at the back of your neck a sweet flutter sleeve. The perfect piece for so many outings as it's effortless to style and can be with or without a bra. The bust structure allows me to go bra-free if need be but for this shoot I was wearing a bra.

I really adore this maxi but like a maxi skirt I reviewed a while ago I have an issue. The first of the layers in this maxi hit right at the belly line and in some situations it actually does really accentuate that one area, this is a little annoying as I always try to skim my tummy and not highlight it. I hope with a little feedback the designers can come up with a lower point for the layered sections to start.

But aside from that I really do adore this piece and how perfectly it pairs with my skintone. I'm in the 16/S and it's a firm fit as the bust and waist have a very specific fit structure. This fit gives support for going bra-free so that's a bonus for me!

Accessory wise I kept this super simple and wanted to pair my Versace VE4452 Purple Sunglasses with this dress. Orange and purple have forever been a colour combo I love and these pair perfectly together.

Check back very soon for some more City Chic reviews as I'm shooting some of their latest swimwear this week!
