Colour Pop!

This month I'm trying new prints, new colour combos and new items a try! I'm such a classic old goth most days but this summer City Chic has inspired me with bright pops of rich reds and super sweet pastels.

If you are looking for a super sweet summer dress then look no further. The Holly Dress from City Chic is an absolute stunner. Featuring a flattering V-neck and tie-bust combination that is fully adjustable - perfect for all bust sizes. This style is fully lined, made from 100% cotton with hidden pockets.

This print is amazing. Bold black and hot pink mix with pastel blue, yellow, and baby pink. I'm usually not one to wear any of these colours combined but this piece really stood out to me. Late last year I started adding more and more yellow into my wardrobe and this has inspired me to order even more of these soft shades. I'm wearing the Holly in a 14/XS as I wanted a really fitted bust and perfect.

I have a hidden collection of amazing Ye-Mak sweaters so I paired this look with a pale lilac and I love how beautifully it works together. Styling for this dress is so easy as there's a variety of shades to pick from.

I can't get enough of this dress and the shape of the bust! I'd love this in a solid colour as well for all-year-round wear.

Many moons ago I feel deep and hard for the Fleetwood Maxi Dress. The wrap style, super flowing sleeves and soft fabric made me feel 100% like Stevie Nicks. So when the ruby red top version of the Fleetwood dress was released HAD TO HAVE IT!

This flowing and flattering top is a summer favourite as it's so light and breezy. The wrap styling covers up any annoying tummy issues you might have and the arms are roomy. The bold red makes this piece also stand out in the best kinda way. I'm wearing this style in a 16/S.

I've paired the Fleetwood top with a classic black high-waisted pair of Harley Skinny jeans. These are my go-to style from City Chic as they fit like a glove! The little rip detailing really makes me love them a little harder as I'm a convert rock and roll jean style. Size wise I'm wearing these in an 18/M but after a full day's wear they sag too much for me! So from now on I'll be a 16/S (I have already ordered and received them) and I'll shoot them again soon.

So which look is your favourite? Are you a fan of the pastel pinup look or the more 70s rock chic styling?

  1. I love both looks! The red Fleetwood Top micro mini-dress looks fabulous being modelled by you (I love empire waisted tops, babydolls and dresses), and so does the multi-coloured empire-waisted Holly Dress from city chic.
You look beautiful wearing both of the outfits you styled with them.
Your hair, eye-makeup and lipstick all look very pretty.
