The Haunted Villa

I'm in love with a maxi and her name is Penny. Wax Poetic Clothing is forever making me fall head over heels in love with long maxi styles. With stunning tailoring, beautiful fabrics, and iconic prints they sell me every single season.

This season the Haunted Villa Collection has arrived with Halloween-inspired prints on mesmerizing silhouettes. Featuring burnt oranges, greens, and classic black and white this collection screams my name.

So clearly I needed to slip into my stand-out favourite piece from the collection. Full of 70s witchy vibes the Penny Maxi Dress is an absolute dream. The perfect mix of art deco and 70's disco with flowing bishop sleeves, hear button detailing and the most divine lace up bust.

This piece is so stunning and really stands out in the best way possible. I've not felt this good in a dress for a while now and it's all down to the design and construction of all Wax Poetic pieces. I'm wearing the 2XL and it's a perfect fit. This piece features a hidden rear zipper so there are no issues with the print!

The Deco print gives me Overlook Hotel vibes and that's what first drew me into this maxi. the lace-up neckline is also adjustable so you can show as much or as little of cleavage as needed/wanted. I as per usual went all boobs!

While I wore this with a standard plunge bra I think next time I'll opt for a full booby tape or extreme plunge style so the lace-up details pop a little more on my pale skin.

You might have noticed that my location is rather amazing and I've only known of this place for a few months. We've been waiting for the perfect piece to shoot with this iconic and ornate doorway. This is the entrance to what seems like a normal car park but this location is part of movie history. The interior was used for a scene in Mad Max. You can take a look and see just how cool it is here

The ornate exterior also has a story behind it and holy hell does it pop on camera! I think we chose the perfect dress for this location.

I could not end this shoot without a little prop to add that extra spooky element. I have to admit I've been to Kmart way too many times already this month to snap up all the cute Halloween pieces.
