Hop Nation

Now more than ever it's important to support local businesses through these trying times and we are doing all that we can to help the Aussie companies we love, friends' businesses and of course local breweries. For the last year or so I've been absolutely in love with Hop Nations The Damned Pilsner and then early this year I fell for The Punch, a Mango Gose.

So when Footscray based Hop Nation announced they new hard seltzers I instantly had to get my hands on them. Luckily we could drive over and pick up our favorites and some of the new 'Ray's with contactless pickups!

'Ray' $17.00

'Ray Hard Seltzer is a brewed alcoholic sparkling water, with real fruit and no added sugar! An amazingly refreshing drink with fewer calories but still giving you a great flavour.

Hard Seltzers are becoming a fan favourite due to the low calorie count and brilliant burst of flavour. That nearly guilt free drink you can set on all afternoon and never feel full of carbs or suffer from a sugar crash. So I've taken it upon myself to try all 3 flavours and report back to you on all the brilliance of these new arrivals.

Why the name 'Ray? Well they are based and made in Footscray so it's a clever little play on the suburb!

'Ray is available in 3 delicious flavorless Watermelon and Mint, Lemon and Lime and my standout favourite Peach. Each can reflects the flavour with a soft colour and simple yet elegant text. No bells and whistles needed for this drop as it's effortlessly perfect.

Crystal clear, super refreshing and full of real fruit flavour these babies are so easy to drink you'll forget that they are actually 4.5%. The fact that these are full of natural flavours makes the real taste of each pop even more.

I'm honestly sick of fruit imitation lolly water and all of the nasties packed within. With 'Ray I'm not worried about calories as they are lower in sugar than most of the other drops on the market.

I've tried all 3, and my absolute favourite is Peach followed closely by the Lime and Lemon. While the Watermelon is lovely I'm just not a huge fan of melon flavours. The soft pop of flavour is like a marriage between a fruit ice tea and sparkling water - so in my opinion absolutely deelish!

I'm keen to add even more fresh or frozen fruit into the mix in the future.

You can snap these up at your local bottle shop, directly picked up at their Footscray brewery or order online. At $17.00 per 4 pack and a mixed case of 12 for $40, these are worth it and you get to support a locally made product at the same time!

This was our haul once we left their shop. As you can see we could not just leave with one product so a few of my favouirtes were purchased and the new Dreamfeed for my husband.

If you've tried these please comment and give me your faves.

JOMO 2.0

After falling in love with the last JOMO release I could not help but snap up a few new pieces from the 2.0 range. You might have seen me sharing my new mini pini on Instagram last week but this week two stunning frocks arrived and I instantly had to shoot them!

A few weeks back I shot and fall in love with the heart top. It's the perfect boobie shaping, curve popping style for my body and now this amazing fit is available in dress form. While I do love basic black fit and flare dresses there was something calling me to the Ruby shade.

I'm wearing this heart 3/4 sleeve dress in a size XL and the fit just like the top is curve hugging perfection. The longline length of the skirt hits at the perfect point and the sleeves are firm and comfortable.

The berry shade is something new for my wardrobe and I'm super excited to be able to style this with more prints and jacket form my collection. I'll me wearing this all winter long with my leather moto jackets and maybe a few of my Sourpuss printed jackets or vests. For these images I styled this piece with a casual orange beret, an orchard corset belt and leather polka dot gloves.

I did it!! I finally got my hands on one of the tiered maxi's dresses! With each print release I miss out on these styles and now I know why. The fit on these light, airy and absolutely divine maxi's is PERFECTION.

I'm wearing this style in an Large and it perfectly accommodates my large bust and smaller waist with ease. It's more of a relaxed fit so I've added the waist belt to cinch me right in.

The Monet print on this piece is so stunning and adds a new level of brilliance into a floral print. This piece has an attached mini dress beneath for lining and floats beautifully when you flounce around.

It's definitely one of those dresses you twirl like crazy in. Now that I know this style really works for my figure I'll be sure to snap up more colours and prints from future releases.

More Erstwilder Goodies!

This week Erswilder has released another set of Fan Faves! So I've snapped up a few pieces I missed out on originally and more of my latest addition - EW Scarves!

A stand out favourite for all  retro loving/rockabilly kids has to be the classic diner milkshake. This strawberry, sweet as sugar themed piece was something I wanted many seasons ago but missed my chance. Luckily today it was brought back I'm smitten.

While I'm not usually a fan of pink this soft and opalescent resin really won me over. The little details of the straw, sprinkles, all that whipped cream and stunning glass come together to create the most magical little retro piece.

It also pairs perfectly with my baby blue Sarsparilly Moto which I'm getting lots of wear out of as it cools down.

The matching scarf is bright and adorable. Tying the whole look together with a mixture of retro and modern pinup styling.

Dino and Space are the perfect mix right? Last dino release I fell for Rex but this time the adorable Scotty won my heart.

His bright pops of pink and yellow pair perfectly with the good of time hair scarf and  the stunning leaf earrings.

The green eyed monster earrings are perfection against my red locks and as per usual Erstwilder create the most perfect plant life. I'll be wearing these constantly as the pop of emerald green is so lush.

A little close up of Scotty! How adorable is this little guy?

I can't get enough of these pieces and highly suggest you order your faves ASAP ss some are selling out.

Jade Perfection

As the weather cools down my lust for all those winter warmers rises! This year I wanted to add a little more of my favourite colour into my wardrobe and luckily City Chic have released some stunning pieces in Jade which is the perfect shade of dark green.

My winter styling varies, but I mainly go between comfy and cozy knits and jeans or flirty florals, tights and boots paired with lush winter coats. All four pieces in this post are available from right now at City Chic and are a must have for any winter outfit.

Creating retro vibes with modern pieces - that pretty much sums my styling these days. From the moment I laid eyes on this stunning winter coat I knew I wanted to shoot it two ways. 1. Pair it with a stunning floral dress 2. Shoot it with some stunning strappy black lingerie.

Well, I can tick off one of these themes as it pairs perfectly with the Delicate Petal Dress in black floral. This stunning sheer long sleeve casual dress is both adorable and comfortable. Effortless to style and pairs with every colour you might wear this season.

The ruffle details, faux wrap bust and flirty skirt make this my new go to dress for all occasions. Size wise (as with every piece in this post) I'm wearing the 16 and I tend to always stick to a Small at City Chic so that I don't encounter any bust fitting issues. This piece can be buttoned up or worn open. I tend to do a half/half look so I can later scarves and show off my dress or top.

The coat is absolutely perfect in every way and just the style and colour I've been dreaming off. This is my second stunning winter piece from City Chic 2 years running and I'm loving the fit and flow of this coat. Plus if the faux fur is not to your liking it's easily detached.

Harley Button Detail Jean - $34.95
Now for something super comfy and much more weekend casual. You might have noticed in my last City Chic review I really fell in love with the leopard jumper and I've honestly been living in it ever since. After such success I knew I needed to add a few more knitwear pieces from CC into my weekly rotation.

Then I saw a stunning jade off the shoulder number, and I was sold! This roomy off the shoulder jumper is super fab. The slouch fit, curve sides and all those little fit details really make this an instant go to jumper for winter. It's chic and cute while still be super comfy and that's why I really need every winter. I'm wearing a small/16 in this style but I can easily go down again as it's an oversized piece.

You can also snap up the same style in a deep dark red shade which I hope to scoop up soon.
I've paired this over sized jumper with some amazing Harley jeans. After falling hard for the fit of my red plaid Harley's I've added and extra pair of this style to my jean collection. What I love most about these has to be the button details. A flash of bold silver, almost nautical in design making these jeans really cute and unique.

The fit on these is spot on for my shape and the stretch though limited I super comfy. I've paired these with a pair of platform heels but I also love wearing all Harley Jeans with thigh high boots. I find the plus size styles from Pleaser, Funtasma and other brands tend to slip down on my legs a little but wearing them over jeans sorts this out instantly!
