Roses

At the start of 2019, I featured some absolutely stunning pieces from Wax Poetic Clothing so it seems rather fitting that I'm ending the year in their amazing designs.

My collection of WP pieces has been growing, and I'm forever making grabby hands at the new arrivals section of the webstore. For this shoot/review I've got my paws on some classic cuts and favourite's.

One of the pieces I feel in love with the most in my first review was the Raquel top. The deep v neckline, pleats and stunning fit was figure flattering and so comfortable and I knew that I needed this in dress form asap! My wish came true, covered in ruby red, pink and white roses!!

The sublime fabric choices that created these amazing dresses is what makes me swoon. They are super soft, comfortable and a joy to wear. I'm in the 2XL, and the fit is spot on. Stretchy yet figure hugging and tailored to really show off your curves.

Plus the print is bold enough to be a great focal point but still flattering on my body shape. Sometimes an inappropriately placed flower or two can make a dress look horrid, but this piece is perfectly printed.

What I love most about this piece is the how transeasonal it really is. You can pair this with an amazing floral piece as shown in this set throughout summer and a pair of strappy heels. Then style with tights, knee high boots, gloves and winter jackets when the weather cools down. I can't wait to style this for each season!

Now with the fit of the Raquel dress a solid colour version is a must have! Luckily this stunning style comes in a solid black and this is my new go to LBD.

The same amazing fit and shape in a solid colour to pair with everything and anything from your collection. I always gravitate towards solid black dresses as they my comfort zone and this piece will be on high rotation.

Styling wise I added my favourite Orchard Corset mesh corset belt with this piece and the Curvy Kate Superplunge Lace Bra. This bra is the perfect shape to pair with the plunge neckline and creates a stunning shape for super busty girls like myself. The Superplunge bra is a miracle in bra form and I'm wearing the 38HH.

What I love most about the solid colour is how much the shoulder detailing pops. A very art deco era style detail that really makes this piece sing.

The Emma dress was the one piece that sold me on mini's. For years I've been worried that my curves could not rock a piece like this but the high neck, mod style Emma dress has won me over.

Created from a fabric that is honestly as soft as kitten fur the Emma is a super flattering mini that will make you feel amazing. Hugging you in all the right places and then flaring out at the waist this piece is timeless and so comfy!

I wear the Emma is a 2XL and the fit is spot on. This piece is very much suited to cooler weather and can be layered with ease. I love pairing my Emma Dresses with a cute cardigan and patterned tights throughout winter.

Lastly a completely new style for me but on I've had my eyes on for a while now - the Jayne! If you have any mid section issues a wiggle dress can be rather frightening. The tightness can make you feel horrid you feel like everything is on show. But with the addition of a peplum skirt any tummy issues completely vanish.

The Jayne Dress has made my year! The shapes this piece creates while flattering every single section of your body make it by far one of the most amazing pieces I've ever owned. Showing off my curves, all my favourite body features and giving some amazing cleavage.

I'm in the 2XL and it's phenomenal. Made from a floral scuba style fabric the comfort level of this dress is insane! It just molds to your curves in all the right ways.

The smaller floral print is stunning, and this piece is going to be worn to death this summer! I'm also keen to style it into the cooler months with boleros or moto jackets and add extra waist definition.

I could not think of any better way to end the year than in Wax Poetic Clothing and I can't wait to see what 2020 holds for them!

Many thanks to my amazing partner in crime and husband Jay for capturing so many of my images this year.
