If you follow me on social media you'll know that while red lippy might be my obsession I'm forever on the look out for a nude shade for day/work wear. Brat has answered all of my prayers as it's the dusty nude pink lip colour of my dreams.

 

 

Such a stunning and soft shade, super creamy, glosses up to the max and suits all of my makeup looks.

 

 

 Since this style arrived I've been wearing it daily and I can honestly say I'm 100% crazy about it not only for the colour but how hydrated and lush my lips feel during and after wearing these lippies.

Aree Cosmetics forever making me able to rock pink lips! I've never been able to wear pin until I discovered Aree's shades and now I have so many in my collection. 

 

Wednesday is bright and bold. She shines perfectly and as you can in natural light this shade is soft yet packs a bright pink punch.

 

I'm inspired by this shade and can't wait to create more soft and spring/summer makeup looks around this pop of pink!

Rocking a bright red pout - Like A Boss! Is there anything better in this world that a candy apple, super shiny red lip? The perfect shade of red to compliment each and every one of my retro/pinup looks and works perfectly for any event or evening looks. 

 

This shade has a little more orange than my usual blue based reds but I'm loving how it pairs with my skin tone. I tend to worry that I can't wear all reds but with Aree Cosmetics I seem to always have 100% success!

If the first shade Brat had an older gothic sister Ego would be that sister! A bold maroon red shade to spice up your lippy collection. 

 

This past winter I've started to gravitate more towards deeper maroons and browns so this a very welcome addition to my collection. Perfect for all year round wear and looks amazing with warm tones.  

 

 

Majesty - $20.00

 

Oh my gosh Majesty is packing a bright bold purple punch! A super fun, amazingly strong and shiny shade of purple perfect for the spooky season and bold makeup looks all year round.

 

 

I never thought I'd be so smitten with a purple shade but this colour is so strong and applies evenly so you don't need to worry about patchy lips or uneven colours. 

 

 

 

Spectacle - $20.00 

 

 

Last but definitely not least is Spectacle as deep midnight blue shade makes me think of gothic mermaids and creepy creatures from the deep blue sea.

 

So dark, so strong and absolutely epic! This shade looks black when it arrives but don't be fooled because as soon as you take out the applicator you'll see this stunning midnight blue colour. 

 

 

Each piece from this collection is glossy, slick and intensely coloured. You can pick up each piece on their own or as a bundle here.

 

I was so inspired with the colours and looks I even shot some amazing Bombshell Accessories and love how well the dark blue lip works with each piece.

 

 

 

 

Be it a sparkled skull or something a little darker and spookier this shade works perfectly. I can't wait to use more of these lipsticks with new Bombshell Jewelry stock in the next few weeks! 

 





For the love of Bonsai!

Have you discovered the Curvy Kitten range from Bonsai Kitten yet? All of your favourite prints and styles in sizes 18 to 24. I'm here to give you a full run down of the fit, fabrics and sizing so you can get the best possible fit on each and every item.

Now I've tried a variety of sizes for this shoot so you can get an idea of exactly how the fabrics stretch or don't. That's the one thing I want to know whenever I shop online as the stretchy element of each piece determines if I can size down or not. I've also shot each piece with and without a skirt so you can see the full fit and features of each blouse.

Wednesday Addams Peter pan top - $65.00

Yellow polkadot circle pinafore plus - $89.00

If you want me to instantly swoon, just give me a bold peter pan collar on a Wednesday Adams style top. I could live in this style day in and day out as it's both adorable and super flattering for a curvy and busty girl like myself.

The Wednesday Adams blouse in black and white is the sweetest and let's face it cutest little number I own right now! The contrasting collar, peephole with a bow and cuffs really pop on the soft and stretchy cotton/viscose/lycra fabric. This fabric is used on most of my Bonsai Kitten tops and the comfort level is out of this world.

I'm wearing a size 18 in this style, and I find the fit in the arms to be perfect as well as the bust with lots of wiggle room at the waist. Perfect to style both tucked and untucked with so many different skirts, pants, shorts, etc.

I've paired this adorable black and white number with the dreamy Yellow Polkadot circle skirt! I'm absolutely crazy for all things yellow, and I've always dreamed of owning a bright yellow or mustard dot print. Thankfully Bonsai Kitten have made this dream a reality and I'm in love.

Figure flattering, light, comfortable and an absolute joy to wear this skirt features a hip skimming circle style skirt, adjustable straps and bold black faux button features. The simple combination of yellow and black is unique, adorable and really pops.

Size wise I'm actually wearing a 14 in this piece as the stretch in the fabric is epic and does not morph the print in any way. I was shocked with just how well this piece fit my waist in 2 sizes smaller than usual. But as you can see the fit is perfect and I can't wait to style this piece all year round.

Retro red pussybow top - $65.00
Black Skater pinafore plus - $89.00

A little while ago I reviewed the spooky themed Horror Vixen pussy bow tops in both black and green. I've always been a huge fan of all of Bonsai Kitten's pussy bow styles but until this past year I'd never tired the shorter sleeve versions. I'm sold as they are freaking adorable!

I'm wearing both this ruby red version and the black in size 16's which are an amazing fit everywhere but a wee bit tight on my upper arms so I'd be more comfortable in the 18 in the future. My rule for all of the Bonsai Kitten tops is - 16 for long or 3/4 length sleeves and 18 for shorter more fitted style sleeves. So if you have a larger upper up be sure to look at the sleeve and choose from there.

The bright retro red pussy bow perfectly pairs with the Black Skater pini! Forever a dream comboination red and black always pack a pop!

Now let's chat about the skirt. A little shorter than the circle skirt this skater pinafore is super flattering on your waist and hips as it hugs you at the small of your waist then skims over you hips, hitting you just above the knee.

A perfect go to piece to pair with each and every blouse, crop or tee from your wardrobe. I tend to live in pinafore styles these days, so I'm excited to have a few more fit and fabric options to choose from. Size wise I'm wearing the 16 in this piece and it's stretchy but not as much as the yellow circle skirt. The fabric is super lightweight so this will be amazing in the summer heat and I can't wait to pair this with off the shoulder blouses all summer long.

Classic black short sleeve pussybow top - $65.00

Alice Bib pinafore - $89.00

Now for the classic big style pini! Sometimes there is nothing better than the classic/traditional style pinafore in an amazing print. The Alice Bib skirt is a picture perfect and super sweet style that pops in black and red.

Made from a poly cotton mix this fabric is thicker and much less stretchy than the previous two skirts. So I'm wearing this specific style in a size 18 as there is little to no stretch at the waist. I've only discovered that I can rock this bib style over the last year, and I love how well it works with my bust.

The fit is superb with a defined waist and the perfect mini length. I've paired this pini with the black version of the classic pussy bow top and I love how easy this is to style with each and every piece shown. You can tie the bow to either size, let it hang down for a more relaxed look or even place it at the back if you want to show a bit more skin. It's like 3 tops for the price of one!

I honestly can't get enough of these tops and will be forever adding different colour ways, prints and sleeve lengths to my collection as they are so versatile.

Each and every style at Bonsai Kitten seems to make swoon and I think I'll be filling my wardrobe asap!



Siren Swimwear - Large Bust Range

Every year I find myself absolutely smitten with all of the plus or curve friendly one piece suits but rarely do I find a piece that is perfectly designed for larger bustlines! They look amazing on the models but when I wiggle my way into the piece my boobs are always fighting the bust line.

Not this year! Siren Swimwear have always had a soft spot in my heart, and I've always loved their vintage styles coupled with modern design elements. But now I'm even more in love as they have just released a Large Bust focused range!

With a focus on the perfect hourglass fit and an amazingly supportive and flattering large bust neckline Siren Swimwear have created both a one and two piece that work on my bod! I'm usually never a fan of navy but there is something magical about how Siren Swimwear create their suits and I always tend to gravitate to their blue designs.

For Siren swimwear's newest range, I'm wearing, and XL and the fit is firm an very flattering. In the past I've worn the size Large, but I found that sometimes my bust did not 100% fit into that size even when I was smaller in shape. The XL is comfortable, smoothing and really a joy to wear.

What's this? Teer in a Tankini? I never thought I'd ever be a fan of a Tankini but when I saw the Rita top I loved the bold polka dot print and the similar shape to the one piece so I bit the bullet and ordered this set.





I'm so very glad I did as this set is stunning! A classic retro/pinup print with the ability to mix and match as it's a tankini and high waisted bottoms. The double layering creates a super cute and flattering one piece looking swimsuit and the extra strong fabric really does help shape my curves.



Now the Rita Top is exactly like the Brigette Suit and has the perfect bust shaping and lifting features. So once you've found the right fit you can be sure to always be comfortable and looking amazing in these suits.

I'm wearing the size 18 and they are super comfy and stretchy. The best part about this set is the ability to mix and match these pieces with other separates from the range! If there is one tiny improvement, I'd like to see it would be more ability to tighten the straps. I could have gone much tighter with both suits. I wonder if sizing down would sort this out for me, though. The stretch and fit means that sizing down will not be a huge issue.



The new fuller bust range from Siren Swimwear has blown my mind and I hope to add more to my collection over the next few months. With classic vintage style cherry and raspberry dots  I'm inspired to create more pinup summer shoots.

I've paired both of these amazing suits with my Nylon Swish teal robe for a more super glam vibe and all of my stunning Miz Smitten Kitten pieces.

Playfully Haunting

This spooky season I've paired some of my favourite past season pieces from Playful Promises with a ghostly little number created by Orchard Corset. While I usually shoot lots of Halloween focused fashion I thought it was about time I got a little spooky in my knickers!

Cara Dot Mesh Ruffle Bra - Fuller Bust  - $68.00

There is something so stunning about a stunning ruffled polka dot combination in bra form and Playful Promises have created a perfect pinup inspired piece with the Cara Dot Mesh Fuller Bust Bra. Soft and sweet but with that extra sexy element due to the sheer black mesh and colour combination.

I ordered the 36H and I love the fit on this as it's super sexy, uplifting and gives great shape. While I do apply the true bra fitting rules to each style I wear I have found that with some more detailed cups like the Cara, that I get a less flat between the breasts fit. But I also love a selection of both every day and super sexy special occasion bra's and this is definitely one of those!



The band in a 36 is brilliant, and I think I'd go up to a 36I or J next time if I get another style with this kind of fit. I honestly feel like I have a little too much for this cup.

This stunning set (g-string included in a size 18) pairs amazingly with the oh so spooky Halloween themed Orchard Corset. In my most loved longline underbust style covered with the cutest little ghosties! This piece is perfect when paired with lingerie or worn over a dress or skirt! I can't wait to style this piece in future looks. 



Ava Black FB Strappy Ring Detail 1/4 Cup Bra - $80.00

For this shoot I wanted to jump way out of my lingerie comfort zone and try a 1/4 cup style! I've always loved the look of these super saucy bra's but never really knew if I could rock them as well as the models do. Let's just say I'm not OBSESSED and definitely need more. 



The fit on this piece in the 36H is AMAZING! Holding all of my bust in without any pop outs and showing just the right amount skin with the 1/4 cup height. 



I feel hard for the cup details in this bra but the strappy ring features makes it even more sexy. A cage bra with more oomph and sex appeal. 



Now please note fit when wearing a corset is not always going to be 100% they push everything up and sometimes a bra is not 100% fitting as it's true form. I'll always update you about it, though. I'm so smitten with both of these styles and the matching bottoms and can't wait to style them with non Halloween looks.
