Luna

This month I have amazing Unique Vintage dresses to share with you! Two very different looks but two perfectly designed and tailored pieces.

For the last few years, I've been in LOVE with the Luna Dress and Caplet set but I was never really sure if it would work on my shape. Last Halloween I was in LUST with all the black spiderweb version of this set but sadly I missed out. So when the red and white polka dot version popped up in a Disney themed collection I made sure I snapped it up.

Once it arrived, I popped it on without any shapewear or even a bra and the fit was pure magic. I'm wearing the 1XL, and it fits like a dream. Accommodating my HH cup chest while still hugging my waist and skimming over my hips. The fabric is a cotton spandex mixture and has a little stretch to it so you'll be able to fit your waist and bust perfectly if you are curvy like me.

For this shoot I'm wearing my corset as per usually but I'm also not wearing a bra! The lift and support is great, but I did need to adjust the straps on order to get the best possible fit. This style also works perfectly with any strapless bra as the straps are too thin to hide a standard bra.

While the dress is 100% on it's own paired with the matching mesh capelet the look is absolutely amazing. The sheer fabric covers you while still adding an element of sexiness and the matching peter pan collar in polka dot ties the outfit together perfectly.

Accessories wise I went for my Disney Mickey years from my last LA trip and stuck with my yellow Miz Smitten Kitten Doris Domes as I thought combined it really does give off a Mickey colour pallet.

Next a style I've loved from afar but not been game enough to try until now! The Hostess Dress is made from marvelous cotton stretch fabric in an elegant surplice halter neckline that self ties for a perfect pin-up fit. With a banded waist and matching belt (Which I forgot!) to nip and cinch your hourglass. Being a halter neck style, I was able to wear this like the last without a bra but the sheer weight of my chest did cause a little too much stress on the halter at my neck. In the future some creative work with Booby Tape will be the way to solve this problem.
The pleated swing skirt features a button up front to show off your favorite pair of shorts or capris to match that famous hostess style - I never noticed that this was why the button up features exist on this dress until I researched hostess styles! I love that with the skirt unbuttoned you can show off bright pops of colour in your shorts or pants.

Speaking of bright pops of colour! I've paired this with a Rose Pink YeMAK cardigan and I love how the navy and white print work with this shade of pink. Our location also worked perfectly and I think I'll be styling this with more pinks and yellows in the future.

To top off this super summer friendly look I've completely the outfit with the amazing
Unique Vintage Retro Woven Light Blue Ribbon Wide Brim Sun Hat  which retails for $64.00. I'm a sucker for super wide brimmed hats and this stunning piece is giant. The soft baby blue ribbon also adds that extra pop of colour an is also available in pink. It's a piece everyone needs for summer and as a pale skinned girl that burns like a crisp I'll be wearing this constantly.
