How to get to Sesame Street

While it's true that I absolutely adore ever single collection from Erstwilder, there is something magical about todays release. Something that brings back amazing childhood memories and a show that's very close to my heart - Sesame Street!

So today I'm super excited to release the most adorable, bright and freaking fabulous range of Erstwilder brooches to ever be released. Featuring all of your favourite's and if you're anything like me you'll still wear them with pride well into your 30s!

If you are a kid of the 70s or 80s you'll have an extra special spot in your heart for Mr. Snuffleupagus or snuffy as I use to call him. A giant wooly mammoth type creature and a huge puppet! The sweetest giant fellow with a heart of gold and for many years believed to be Big Birds invisible friend until 85.

The collaboration between Sesame Street and Erstilder is absolutely perfect as each of these creatures is perfect in brooch form. Snuffy's adorable face, nose, big grin and sweet eyes are iconic and this pieces perfectly captures his cuteness.

The curl of his snout/nose is adorable and those puppy dog like eyes just draw you right in! I can't get enough of this little fella!

Elmo Brooch - $39.95

When you think of Sesame Street one of two characters usually pop in your head - one red, one yellow. Elmo has always been a fan favourite due to his cuteness, playful innocence and his lovable nature.

Loved world wide and with so much mass appeal that this little red monster got his own show - Elmo's World! As I type this review, I actually have both theme songs playing in my head as I grew up watching Sesame Street and then watched Elmo's World with my little brother and read him all of the Elmo little golden books. Plus were you a child of the 90's or early 2000's if you didn't own a Tickle Me Elmo?

Just look at that bushy red face, bright orange snoz and sweet eyes! How can you not adore this little guy?

He's just way too cute for his own good and now I've got the urge to watch The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland. I can't wait to pin this sweet piece on one of my retro themed leather moto jackets or an upcoming superbright moto I'm getting. I think he'll pop rather brilliantly on yellow faux leather.

Yip Yip Earings - $39.95

The Yip-Yip, are interplanetary visitors, presumed to be from the planet Mars, who are terrified by things like clocks, telephones and computers. Bright, adorable and absolutely silly Martians the Yip-Yips have been an iconic pair of silly characters for decades.

When I first saw each piece in this collection, I had my heart sent on these first and foremost as I've always adored these two scaredy cats and their brilliant look.

That side ways moth, silly antennae and shaggy tentacles are perfectly captures in earring form. We have both the pink and blue Yip-Yips, and I just adore how they add that extra pop of colour to any outfit. My main goal with this shoot was to wear lots of colour, so I've paired each piece with my YeMak Sweaters and some of my nylon scarves.

Sesame Street Sign

Lastly a piece that could not be any more iconic the actual Sesame St, street sign!!! Those bright white letters on the most loved (in the world) green and yellow street sign.

I never knew how fab a street sign themed badge could work until now and now I'm wondering how I ever lived without this piece in my collection. The bold text and numbers, the bright pops of colour - they are so iconic and I love how this pairs with my rich purple knit. Now this piece is not available to individual sale but if you buy 3 or more from this range the team at Erstwilder will pop this in as a freebie! How awesome is that?

It's so hard to pick one favourite piece from this collection but I'd say each and every style shown in this review are all equal 1st. I've also got my eye on The Count, and I hope to snap him up before he sells out today. So head to Erstwilder HQ right now and get your all time favourite critters and characters from Sesame Street
.
