Fruity Foiled

With every season Collectif manages to inspire and impress me. With stunning tailoring, amazing fabric choices and the perfect accessories to match.

My current favourite look swings me right back into summer, dreaming of festivals, cocktails and those balmy nights.

When I first laid eyes on the Fruit bordered Jade swing dress I felt deeply in love. A stunning swing style thin strapped summer dress with the cutest border detailing I've ever seen. Featuring pineapple, strawberry and banana trims creating the perfect pop of colour.

I ordered this style in a 18 as I noticed the bodice and fit looked very much like my Watermelon Swing reviewed last year which was a 16 which was super tight. The fit of the 18 is perfection as it cinches me in at the waist but has enough room to fit my chest.

The natural volume of the skirt also creates an amazing shape and really emphasizes my curves. This style comes with a matching belt, so you can really nip that waist in.

What better to pair with this dress than the Outlook Biker Jacket in foiled black! I've become a huge fan of all Collectif bikers over the last few years as I've got the bubble gum pink and a faux leather style. So when the foiled cotton version was released, I need to snap it up ASAP!

What I love most about this foiled fabric is that it's basically a supersoft and sparkly glitter effect! Up close the glitter effect is stunning and when it catches the light you can see it in full effect.

I wear this style in an 18 and I can zip it up with ease but I find the arms a little too restrictive up top. So I'll be removing the lining for a better fit. After talking to few people who purchased this style in pink some of the same fit issues have popped up so I know it's just a case or removing that lining and the arms will fit better. This specific fabric is a medium weight and is perfect for those cooler summer evenings or even warmer winter days. I can't wait to start adding more pins to this - now what should the theme for this one be?

To complete the look I've paired the two perfect pieces with the Lorena heels from Lulu Hun! These are my first pair of Lulu Hun shoes and I'm completely smitten with the fit and details. Available in Black (as shown) and green with a vibrant contrasting ric-rac trim these pair perfectly with my Jade Fruity dress.

I wear these in a UK 8 which is perfect for an Australian size 10 foot. The fit is standard width and these are so easy to walk, dance and stand in. They are amazingly comfortable and I wish the weather was worm enough so I could wear them asap.

I love these so much I think a few more pairs of Lulu Hun's need to be added to my collection.

Many thanks to Damien Bowerman for snapping these bright and sweet images with me! We had lots of fun running about Albert Park on a winters afternoon so look out for even more of our images coming to the blog later this week.
