Erstwilder has started off  2018 with one of my all time favourite collections and themes - Western! Designed by my love Donna Mizzi of Kaiju Candy. Donna's talent shines through in each amazing piece and her focus on keeping each item adorably in theme makes this whole collection 100% perfect. GIRL you made this cowgirl's dreams come true.

This season I'm falling hard for some amazing old school western goodies to pair with my collection of gingham frocks and cowboy boots. The Wilder West collection has an amazing selection of all of those essential Western/Wild West items. From pinups to billy goats, chubby cacti to pistols and many more amazing creations.

My stand out favourites were, well, pretty much everything from this collection! It was so hard to cull my list down to just a few. I know that I'll be back for so many more but for now I'm excited to share these with you!!

I'm forever a sucker for vintage style pistols and this year Erstwilder has finally answered my prayers creating the Reach for the Sky brooch. Created to perfectly replicate a Wild West era pistol this piece is perfectly designed and the colours are soft yet respectful to the old-time pieces that I love.

It has a mixture of different resin patterns mixing wood and metal. What I love about the size and shape of this piece is that it can be grouped with others from the range and will be the start of my next themed leather jacket. Yes I have way too many but now I'm inspired to create a full Western moto with fringe details. 

What I also love about this pistol is the ability to position it in any way. With some brooches I feel limited but I can wear this piece pointing in any direction and it looks amazing on a lapel.

Montana Bell Brooch - $39.95

With each release Erstwilder create the perfect pinup girl who encapsulates the theme and this year we have a little cowgirl named Montana Bell.  Her look is polished complete with a red pout, perfect do, western scarf/tie combo and cowboy hat. Such a sweet style icon with a little bit of sass as she's totally giving us side eye.  

The mixture of colours also makes this piece bold enough to stand out on any print of fabric. I'm so inspired by her look I'll be using her as a brooch on a neckerchief asap! Now to find the perfect had and blouse combo to match! 

Prickly Pair Earrings - $34.95

To complete the look I had to snap up these amazing cactus earrings as I'm obsessed with anything cactus themed. As I type this post I'm still wearing these amazing lightweight earrings as they are now my official earring choice of 2018!  I'm nutty for cactus themed everything. From prints to homeware and, of course, jewellery and accessories.



The mixture of greens, soft spikes and stunning red flowers make these easily paired with so many blouses and dresses while pairing perfectly with my red locks. If you love these adorable little plants as much as I do then you'll be able to pick up the matching chubby cactus brooch!
