Through the darkness

What do you do when you find the perfect black wig? You instantly transport back to your younger gothic days and shoot up a storm - well not literally but the stunning long black wig inspired me big time and I had to create some dark, gothic glamour with it.

With pieces sought from both the UK and Australia I created a few looks that pretty much sum up my daily or full blown gothic glam goals. Every piece is linked below with full sizing information etc.

From first glance I was not sure if this maxi dress would suit me but the form fitting features, billowing sleeves and button up deep V called to me so I ordered a size 14/L and crossed my fingers. As you can clearly see it works like CRAZY! Never have I felt so comfortable (pyjama level of comfort) in a maxi form fitting dress.

The stretchy fabric is light and falls beautifully. I'd usually be worried about such a fabric clinging in all of the wrong places but the middle beaded feature allows rouging around the middle section and it skims over my stomach and hips perfectly, making my curves pop yet slimming my problem areas.

These kimono style sleeves have me swoooooooning! They flow with such grace and create a cape effect. I'm tempted to style this in a Morticia way and wear it out on Halloween.

The length is perfect if you wear height heels and being a maxi they don't show so you can get away with any black and comfortable high heels.  The fabric is so light that it's going to be amazing for summer and I see full gothic beach trips with this as a cover up in my future.

I also snuck my amazing Dia necklace from Kreepsville 666 into this shoot as it paired perfectly with the look of the black maxi dress. I can't get enough of every single piece in this review!

I've been lusting after Impirea for so long so when my girls at Tragic Beautiful finally received a shipment of this stunning little number I snapped it up asap! The darker side of Hell Bunny's design team Spin Doctor create some of my move loved outfits and the Imperia is divine.

Sheer yet covered, flowing fabrics but still soft and summer ready. The extra details make this piece shine with the faux button bust, high neckline and velvet bow plus that adorable ruffled bottom.

I'm wearing this style in a 2XL as there is limited stretch to the fabric but my bust has no issues at all fit wise. The high waist is fitted then it flows gently over the hips. So it's a more relaxed and flowing mini dress.

Tragic Beautiful is my go to shop for all Spin Doctor styles within Australia and they stock so many of my favourite brands including Hell Bunny and many, many more.

Now Spin Doctor can we please get this in Oxblood or forest green for 2018? Thanks in advance.

Ewa Michalak BM Bibi Black Bra - Available on request

Lastly a very different look for me - lace and light hair!! There is something about this stunning full length hooded lace cape that makes me feel like a enchantress. Sheer yet bold, works perfectly when paired with black lingerie as you can see but this also looks amazing when worn over bright shades of colour and I can't wait to pair this with a ruby red dress.

This cape hits me at the angles and hangs beautifully. For a more over the top look I paired the hood with my antlers shown above so the shape was more pronounced and full. I can't wait to style this in future shoots.

I opted to shoot this with my amazing Ewa Michalak cage style bra. What I love most about this style other than the amazing fit is the fact that the cage straps are detachable. I'll be going into more detail when I post a full linger shoot soon.

While the cape has sadly sold out there is no limit to the stunning styles available via Kate's Clothing! Be it lace or prints, themed or just lust faux velvet, you can find so many stunning items here.

This is merely the start of this month long theme of gothic and spooky inspired looks and I can't wait to share more with you.

Many thanks to my amazing photographer who has the best taste and gets just as excited about every single piece we photograph as I do. Liz you rock my socks off!
