LaSculpte

I'm a sucker for great foundation garments and I'm always on the look out for new styles and great new bodysuits and slips to add to my collection. This past week I've been testing and falling in love with LaSculpte a local shapewear and fitness brand from right here in Australia!

Who are L Sculpt you ask? Well, they have explained themselves perfectly here :

In a nutshell: LaSculpte is what dreams are made of. We’re the shapewear and fitness clothing line for the every woman and her sister friend. What does this mean? It means that LaSculpte, our products and our company, were created specifically to support the female body at work, leisure and play. We work to help women everywhere look and feel as beautiful on the outside as they are on the inside.

So after a weeks worth testing I can no agree wholeheartedly with this description! The two items I've been wearing over the last week (both to work and going out) have been the go-to items I always wear - a bodysuit and a slip dress.

I honestly live in bodysuits as they provide shaping and comfort all day and I love the smooth base they offer.

This is another brilliant bodysuit that's light enough for all seasons and has a great amount of firmness so it holds in your tummy and really smoothes out those lumps and bumps. Now no bodysuit on earth will make you 4 sizes smaller but suits like this really help create a smooth base to start with. I wear this in an size XL and the fit is perfection. With a size range of small to 2xl you can find the right fit with ease. I'm an Australian 16 and the XL is spot on in terms of fit and firmness.
What I love most about this style is the high back. I tend not to wear too many low back dresses and find some suits really don't give too much coverage around the bra band area. This bodysuit covers and smoothes this area perfectly and the underbust design means you can wear your own bra!

It's taken me a while to get on board with shaping slips as I've not found many that actually work or fit in the right way. But this plunging style covers all the areas on my checklist - bra, sides and back and actually goes over your shoulders like a real slip. Others tend to just stop and then you have roll downs of fabric which is both uncomfortable and yucky looking.
This slip is perfect for wearing under midi skirts and maxis as the firm yet breathable fabric (on both garments) is perfect for the stinking hot summer we Aussies have a head of us. While I usually like a underbust slip style for these kinds of garments this actually works with my bustline perfectly and like the bodysuit I'm wearing an XL.
I'm really excited about this label and it's my goal to try every piece so I can help both you guys and myself get the right fit and the best products!
