I feel like it's been forever and a day since I featured La Femme En Noir, but I've been waiting for the perfect time and weather to capture the stunning Haunted Beauty Victorian Dress in Crimson Dress in all of its glory.
Now, as a fan of LFEN, you might be wondering why this piece is so familiar. If you were obsessed with the Crimson Peak collection, you might remember the Haunted Beauty Victorian Mourning Dress with Capelet. That classic piece was an iconic and adored one, but the stunning fit and details were beneath the capelet.
Luckily, Micheline and Lynh created this stunning crimson version and a classic black for everyday wear in lush stretch velour. Featuring a very dramatic fit with nothing but comfort in mind. Stretchy, lush fabrics, a deep portrait neckline and fabric buttons - the top 3 are open and close.
The bodice is the main vavavoom feature in this amazing piece. With princess seams, leg of mutton sleeves, light side boning and a full shirred waist. Classic dealing in full wearable and modern creations, which La Femme are known for.
Now my styling ideas for this will include a little tailoring as I want to get this to sit just at the knee and wear it in a more 70's style way with lace-up boots and tights in the winter. The skirt is full and stunning, but I'd like to shorten it to make it more day-to-day wearable for myself personally. I'm wearing this piece in the 2xl and it's a perfect fit.
