It's the most wonderful time of the year! September has hit and all things spooky and kooky are starting to hit the stores. Spiderwebs, bats, all things bloody and goretastic! It's my normal way of dressing 365 days a year but it's a little more exciting as all the new releases come out!
If you've not discovered the absolute joy that is a skort this might just be the piece that converts you! The bat bones skort is a funky little bat-themed skirt from the front and shorts from the rear! Perfectly mini while still giving you great coverage and shape.
When I saw the preview of this piece I instantly fell in love with this amazing print - a skeletal bat and lots of spiderwebs. I instantly added it to my list and for a little extra coverage, I sized up to the XXL. However, I did not know this skort fits exactly like the Push It pants and I would have been completely fine in my usual XL.
But the fit is a little longer in the shorts area due to sizing up. I'll just add a few stitches to the waist and take these in a little. I've paired these with a solid black body suit as they are by far the main character in this look. Perfect for all-year-round wear they look fantastic with bare legs or with tights and boots in the cooler months.
I had to show just how cute these look from the back as well. The bold print and really flattering fit with the high waist make me want to live in these all week!
The Eye on You print has been a little obsession of mine since last Halloween. I missed out on snapping up the maxi skirt but I managed to get the sheer top. So when the longline dress was announced you bet I had to have this! I just adore any bold monster prints and this dress is PHENOMENAL!
This dress really is the star of the show and needs very little styling. I've just added a classic black motos jacket and it's instantly a perfect and very me outfit.
I can't get enough of this fabric how freaking stunning it is!! Let's hope next year blackmilk has even more options as I'd live in pants, jumpers, and skater dresses covered in these monster eyeballs.
Is it really Halloween-themed if we don't wear something purple? The Flock of bats maxi is a busty/curvy girl's dream dress. A faux wrap with epic cleavage, a waist tie for extra shape, and the most flattering skirt that just skims over your hips.
Off topic, I did forget to apply my lipstick with this outfit and I kinda like the softness of the look!
This madi features sheer sleeves, three tiers of fabric so you can swirl and swish around to your heart's content, and mining underdresses. All combine to flatter and shape making this a must-have for the spooky season.
Love this print but not looking for a dress? Well, Blackmilk has you covered as this also comes in a top and skirt. Greedily I want all three!
This print! THIS PRINT!! It's giving me George A. Romero. It's giving me Shawn of the Dead and obviously with my love for all things horror and Simon Pegg I needed this in my world.
This longline skirt is pure magic with pockets! The fit, the print, the feel, and the wearability. I'm 100% in love and I will be buried in this, she writes as she posts images in a graveyard!
It's just so bold and bright while being so very creepy and I can't get enough of it. I'm wearing the XL and the fit is really stretchy at the waist.
Lastly my first ever Blackmilk Jacket! I don't know how I've gone so long without ever wearing any of the Blackmilk jackets but for my first, this is rather amazing. The Black Garden coset jacket is made for curves - literally, it's adjustable and corseted!
The fit hugs you in all the right areas while giving your chest room and skimming over the hips. I'm wearing this in a 20 as I never trust that my 38HH chest will fit in my normal size and the fit is perfect.
The corset detailing really makes for epic cleavage as well and I can't get enough of this jacket!
