It's All About The Peasant Dress

The most perfect dress does exist and honestly I'm 100% addicted to it. After borrowing so many styled from Lucy Watkins I finally ordered my dream peasant dress!

Straw Hat - Vintage 

After wearing a few stunning pieces from Lucy's store I had to get my hands on my very own peasant dress. So off I popped to her amazing Etsy store and ordred this ruby red gingham midi dress. What I love most about Lucy as a designer is that she makes every piece to order and can tailor to your exact requirments. 

I already loved everything about this piece but I wanted a slightly longer sleeve so I added that specifically to my order and the results well, they speak for themselves. The light fabric, fitted waist and stunning bust, paired with a little white contrasting ruffle makes this midi dress absolutely divine. 

Now I order an 18 as I'm the same stats as the designer herself and the sizing is very true to the size chart listed. Once I tried this piece on I had already ordered another two prints in my mind. It's that comfortable and so cute! 

Styling wise I borrowed a vintage straw hat from my photographer Brooke Orchard who absolutely rocked this shoot for me!! For shoes I HAD to pair this stunning print with my Irregular choice favourites and the ruby red heels were a match made in heaven. Then a simple red ribbon around the waist to define my shape and make this style really pop. 

As I mentioned I really did fall head over heels with this piece and I've already shot and purchased the mini style in floral with matching bloomers as you can see here. 

Plus an extra black and white gingham version with a slightly shorter hemline. I will be living in each piece all summer long. I'll be sure to snap a shot of the bloomers this week and upload it to my IG account. They are the perfect addition to each dress and great on windy days.
