Own the Throne

Katy Perry has released a brand new fragrance inspired by strong and powerful women. This stunning scent not only has a super sweet smell but the unique and royal inspired bottle is decadent and luxurious.

I was lucky enough to be gifted a bottle of this exciting new fragrance and I was won over by the design and packaging before I even opened the box.

Inside awaited a delicious scent that I've not smelt before. Strong on the nose at first but once it sinks into your skin deep rich fragrance settles into a stunning mixture of jasmine, red velvet flower and more. But I'm no fragrance expert and luckily that key notes and scent inspiration has already been given to me bellow.

About the fragrance :

The Fragrance created by Laurent Le Guernec of IFF, Killer Queen is an addictive fragrance that bewitches, indulges and demands to be noticed. “The Red Velvet Flower inspired this creation beginning with the richness of the burgundy red, the velvety feel reminiscent of a royal cape and its deep textured floral scent”, says Laurent Le Guernec.

Top Notes:

Wild Berry, Dark Plum & Bergamot Middle Notes: Red Velvet Flower,Natural Jasmine Sambac & Rainbow Plumeria Base Notes: Cashmeran, Natural Patchouli Heart & Liquid Praline

This scent is not what I'd usually choose for myself but it's growing on me and people keeps asking what it is. My mother has already tried to steal it! This is a great every day perfume and a great extra choice to add to my collection. I'll be the look out now for an appropriate and equally as stunning rack to place this in as the design is stunning when placed upright.

The Collection was released on the 1st of September so you can get your hands on a bottle asap. With great prices you can pick up one of 3 bottles all under $70!

  1. I'm really looking forward to getting in store and smelling it, i've heard its quite different from her other scents, but I do love what she's released so far!

  2. I am quite impressed with this goodie, it actually smells, to me, like my Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb perfume (which I paid a small fortune for). It is now my everyday perfume, intermixed with a Jo Malone (on other days).
