3 fabulous outfit ideas for an evening date
So, we've had suggestions for day date outfits, but what to wear on an evening date? Of course, the outfit needs to be less casual and have a little more glamour, while still accentuating all the right places.
Whether you met your date online (click here) or through friends, you want to wow him with your wardrobe. Here are a few suggestions for some great evening date outfits.
Wear an A-line dress which nips in at the waist, which you can accentuate with a belt if you wish. If you have a large bust, go for something that has a V-neck to avoid the 'shelf' look. Alternatively, if you want something a little less revealing, a dress that has gathered material around the shoulders will minimise large busts and large shoulders.
Wrap dresses are also a great option for a curvier figure, as they’re usually low cut and cinch in at the waist.
2. Stand out
Draw in your date with bright colours or bold patterns. Why not go for a floral print that will make you stand out, for example a skirt with a fitted top or a tunic with leggings and boots? Accessorising this look is important to make it more elegant and less casual – wear heels or heeled boots and a smart cardigan or blazer.

Bootcut trousers or jeans are a good look for fuller figured women, and you can opt for vertical stripes which will have a slimming effect. Mid- to high-waist will pull in the tummy and the straight up and down cut will take the emphasis off your hips and bum. Wearing pointy-toed heels will give this look more glamour, as well as elongating your legs. Choose a glamorous top to finish off the look.
Tips:
Belts and blazers are your friends
This is true, though not necessarily together. Belts worn with a dress will give you a defined waist, which can sometimes be lost underneath too much fabric. Likewise, blazers will cinch you in at the waist when buttoned up and will also minimise the bust.
Statement necklaces
You have the build to pull of this type of necklace – so go for more rather than less. Make sure you opt for long necklaces, as these will have an elongating effect.
So, good luck with those dates, ladies, whether you're dating in Sydney or Melbourne (click here for more information), and make sure you carry these outfits with confidence!
