Jessica Simpson - Staying stylish and successul

Post written in collaboration with Lauren Quincy

Jessica Simpson has been receiving a good deal of unnecessary flack recently because of her baby weight gain.  While the singer, actress, and reality TV star looks babealicious as-is, Simpson still decided to join Weight Watchers and became a celebrity spokesman.  However, while some in the tabloids may be hating on Simpson, she is taking it in stride as she is not only staying fashionable, but also making strides personally and professionally.

Recent celebrity shots of Simpson, including her Weight Watchers commercials have shown the star showing up in outfits that flatter her new curvier figure.  While she has stuck to basic black in many cases, the outfit that she wore in her Weight Watchers commercials shows a very cute Simpson in hip hugging jeans that are sure to make some guys wonder if  Jessica Simpson's baby weight is really that big of a deal.

Apparently the producers over at NBC don't think that it is that big of a deal as Simpson just signed a deal the network to produce a comedic pilot based on her life.  Simpson said that “I often find myself thinking that no one could ever make up the things that actually happen in my life — so between the real-life elements and a great team of writers, I think we’ll have people laughing.”

Executive producer Ben Silverman said that “Jessica Simpson is truly a modern-day Lucy with incredible comedic chops.  From running a fashion empire to wrangling her public image as a new mom, we see Jessica’s character approach a variety of ‘everyday’ circumstances that will get audiences laughing out loud"

It is interesting that he compared Simpson to Lucille Ball, considering the fact that before she was "Lucy", Lucille Ball was a pinup model and she definitely was not a stick figured girl.

Also, news was revealed earlier this week that Jessica is expecting yet again, this time having a son with fiancĂ© Eric Johnson.  She is reportedly thrilled over the news of a boy and soon her eight-month-old daughter Maxwell Drew will have a little brother.

It appears that karma and good fortune are both smiling down on Simpson despite her curvier figure, just further proving that real women and successful ones have curves.
